"Helpful light." Maria casually said. Then a green light appeared.

"You know, you don't need to say the skill out loud." I said with a smirk. "So you want to be healed?" She responded.

"Haha.. anyway Athanos did you get the knife?" "Why?" He asked. "Your skill." I responded. "But Carl has weapon proficiency." He was still wondering. "It's too small. Use it to stab." I answered.

"Let's continue." Carl was growing impatient. "Yep." I answered.

We continued walking with no problems until.

"You don't even need to use your skill this time." I said. "Get ready." Said Carl. Three dogs that looked awfully violent. "Okay get ready." I said. One of the dogs ran at us. 'Counter shield.' A red barrier appeared and blocked the dog. Crack! [100% charged] 'Activate.' The first dog died. "Not yet!"

'Mana shield.' A blue barrier appeared and blocked the dog.

Crack! The dog broke through. "Now!" Athanos quickly attacked the dog. A stab and a slash.

One left. "Cough.. can you heal mana?" I asked. "I can try" replied Maria. A green light appeared with a blue hue. 'That's overpowered.'

"I'll finish the last one." Said Carl. 'Wait.' The dog was slightly shining. 'Is it fucking evolving?!' "Kill it now!!" I quickly ran towards it. The dog attacked me. 'Counter shield' crack!

It sounded like glass shattering. [100% charged] Athanos was on the left and attacked it, while Carl attacked it from the right. One two. 'Activate.' Three.

Boom!!

There was a large explosion, and the dog died. 'crap my vision.' [mana lv forcibly increased by 1] [current lv 8] 'oh.. nice.' Everything went to black.

(What are you?) "wake up!" 'Huh? What the.' I woke up. "Geez I'm awake." 'Who was that?.' "Are you okay? You have fainted twice!" Maria sounded mad. "Sorry." I couldn't say much else. "How much time passed?" I asked. "Like a couple hours."

"Anyway are we in a convenient store?" "Yep we can also get supplies." Athanos seemed happy while eating some junk food." We could have a chat." Carl said. I suddenly felt left out. "So what are your sponsors?" Silence...

"weapon master." Said Carl. "Quick snake" said Athanos. "Heavenly healer." 'Wow wtf'

"Oh nice. Let's go now."

"So who is the strongest?" Carl asked. "Huh? Why do you ask?" I replied. "Small talk." He answered. "Maria is the best in her class." I answered.

"Huh? Not you?" Athanos said. "Why do you think it's me?" "Well you blocked their attacks and countered." Carl said.

"The reason I think it's Maria, is because she regenerated some of my mana." "What? You did that?" Athanos said. "Yeah it just kind of happened." She replied.

"Is there anything close Carl?" I asked. "Don't sense anything."

'8 hours left.' "How close are we?" "About 200 meters left." Replied Maria. "Wow is it just me, or is this taking forever." Carl sounded annoyed. "We should probably hurry up." Athanos said. "Let's go." 

we started running. "Is there anything?" I asked. "No." Carl replied quickly. "Oh, I'll take that back. There are some household animals."

"We can joke later!" 'About 100 meters left.' "We're almost there." I said. "Yes I literally see it." Athanos replied. Then.

Thud.

"Maria!" She collapsed. 'Did she use too much mana?' "Fuck there are 5 goblins up ahead." Carl said.

"Ok ,Carl you take Maria, and I take the front. Athanos in the back."

'Crap what do I do.' "Should we run away?" Athanos asked.

'No that won't work.' "What about just running past them, with your barrier thing." Carl asked.

'Oh!' "Hit the red barrier now!"

"You have a plan right?" Athanos asked. "Yes!" I said. Then they both hit the red barrier. [110% charged] [it will be forcefully released] 

'activate!'

Boom!! Four of the goblins got blown up, and the last lost, an arm and a leg.

The recoil was way to much and. 'Oh I forgot, i have like no mana left.'

note: like previously stated i have close to no knowledge about history/mythology and stuff. So this is all bullshit. Sorry.
