A Lover's Quarrel? Setting Things Straight

I sat alone in the Wisteria Forest, it's hard to believe that we'll be graduating rather soon. There's still been so much on my mind for the past two months. Although I've told Momo time and time again that I forgave her and some of the staff at U.A., there was still something inside of me that just couldn't let it go. Almost as if I wanted to lash out at them physically instead of with words.

"Hey, is everything alright, Alyx?" Momo wondered.

I stood up from the rock I was sitting on and drew my sword.

"A-Alyx, darling?" Momo called out.

I took a deep breath in, then back out, "Let's go, Momo."

In a flash, I hopped around from tree to tree around her, zipping by her every now and then. The only way I was going to stop this feeling of malice was to take her on.

*THIRD PERSON*

As Leonidus moved from tree to tree, Momo created a sword that matched his style of blade and a shield to protect herself. She waited for Leonidus to make a move, but he kept bouncing around her.

"What is he doing? Wait... What he told me a while back, that grudge he still has, is he acting on it now? Does... Does he plan on killing me?! No, he must only be trying to exercise it out of him. So, the only way to make things right with him is to take him on in combat? Then so be it!" Yaoyorozu thought to herself.

Alyx appeared above her, sword held high above him, the two clashed their blades together. Leonidus slid backwards on the ground, he took a deep breath in as he held his sword to his side.

"First Form, Thunderclap and Flash." He muttered.

He tore off towards Yaoyorozu as the ground beneath him shattered, his sword impacted against her shield shattering it in half! The force of the impact sent her flying into a tree, she slammed into it, gasping for air after hitting the tree back first.

"The one thing that was broken, shattered in half like your shield, was my mentality. I was on the verge of killing all of you, ending this nightmare, but I refused to. It's because I realized one thing..." Leonidus spoke up.

Alyx lifted Momo's chin with the top of his foot, "By keeping all of you alive, you'll be experiencing a real nightmare. That nightmare being that you'll never truly fix me, you'll never truly be able to call me a hero because of what all of you have done. I've killed people, innocent and guilty, just to temporarily get rid of my pain. But I finally realized that it'll never go away, and it's all. Your. Fault."

Leonidus removed his foot from underneath Yaoyorozu's chin. She grabbed his ankle and pulled herself up. She threw a punch and rammed her right fist into his jaw, making him stumble backwards. His head still was looking to the right as he stood still. Momo's eyes widened as she saw his right arm become encased in nothing but Overdrive. He slowly looked at her, the look of unbridled rage ignited in his eyes, Leonidus charged forward at her with great speed. Right before his fist connected with Momo's face, she finally shot up out of Alyx's bed.

*LEONIDUS' P.O.V.*

"NO!!" I heard Momo shout.

Her scream quickly woke me up, it nearly scared me half to death! I sat up and looked at her.

"Is everything alright? What's wrong?" I fretted.

"I... I had... I..." She rapidly breathed.

I held her close to me, I slowed my breathing down, "Hey, it's alright, just match my breathing."

I gently rubbed her back as I hugged her. She firmly placed her head on my chest.

"Did you have a nightmare? You don't have to tell me about it if you aren't comfortable with it." I softly spoke.

She nodded at my statement, I felt her move closer to me. I laid back down on my side with her facing me.

"I keep having the same dream over and over again," She finally spoke, "It's... We fight because of everything's that has happened to you, those tests, every single bad thing that they've done and I've organized. T-Then... Then you kill me, but that's when I wake up. I've had the same dream for the past few weeks now."

I nodded at her, I guess I can see why she was so scared. I kissed her forehead and gently ran my fingers through her hair.

"Well, everything's alright now. Try and get some sleep, alright?" I smiled.

"Okay." She agreed.

She placed her hand on my chest as she kept her other arm around me. I closed my eyes and fell back asleep. It felt like I only shut my eyes for about 10 minutes before I felt Momo start fidgeting. I started humming a soothing melody. Her sleep fidgeting slowly started to lessen, then it stopped completely. That nightmare she's been having has been affecting her, she's been dozing off at school, not to mention she isn't really herself that much.

[Several Hours Later...]

I got up to get ready for school. Momo was still asleep in my bed, which was very unusual, normally she's the one that's up before me. I tapped her arm and woke her up.

"Hey, we gotta get ready for school." I told her.

"I... I'm going to stay home." She groggily responded.

I tilted my head, "Huh? Are you feeling okay?"

She turned away from me and raised the blanket above her shoulder. I guess I shouldn't press the matter. As I got ready for school, I gave her a kiss on the cheek before I left my room. I met with everyone else downstairs and we walked out of the dorms.

"Where's Yaomomo, Alyx?" Jiro wondered.

"She told me she was staying home; I'm assuming she's not feeling well." I answered.

I stopped in my tracks, I started adding two and two together in my mind. I continued walking to U.A. As we made our way into class, I stopped to talk with Mr. Aizawa outside of the room.

"Hey, is it possible that you could give me all of the work for today? It's for a reason, of course, I'm needing to check in on someone." I asked.

"Alright, that's fine, if we were doing training today I wouldn't have let you. It's just a couple of things that I can give you." He confirmed.

[10 Minutes Later...]

I made it back to my dorm room, I opened the door, Momo was still in bed. I put the worksheets on my desk as I made my way over to her. I quietly floated to the side of her.

"You wanna go get ice cream with me?" I whispered.

"I just want to be alone." She answered.

I plopped my chin down on her arm, "Iiiiiceeee creaaaam is calllling yoouurr naAAaame... OooooOoooo!"

I saw her try and hide her smile as I sounded like a stereotypical ghost.

"S-Stop it, leave me be." She snickered.

"Ice cream... It's my second favorite thing after you!" I giggled.

Momo turned around and quickly hugged me, "Why are you like this?"

"If I wasn't, would you even love me in the slightest?" I responded.

"Honestly, most definitely not!" She admitted.

Momo laid back down on my bed and right underneath me.

"So... Like... Could we?" I wondered.

"Could we what?" She questioned.

"Go get ice cream." I told her.

She didn't say a word, she just sat there and looked me up and down. Momo pulled my tie and we kissed. She leaned her head back onto my pillow.

"If that ice cream is you, I'd indulge in every bit of it." Momo cooed.

"I could indulge in yours every night and day if I got the chance." I spoke in a deep, sensual voice.

Her face went bright red and she covered her face, "W-Why'd you say it like that?!"

"O-Oh, I-I'm sorry! I've always wanted to say something like that!" I apologized.

A spring flew out of her right elbow, clocking me in the jaw and sending me onto my floor. I was seeing stars at this point, Momo leaned over my bed to check on me.

"Oh goodness! Are you alright, darling?" She wondered.

"Never... Been better!" I simpered.

I sat up and shook the sense back into my head. We looked at each other before looking at the spring on the floor. I couldn't help but laugh that a spring that small would pack that much of a punch!

"G-Geez, that spring you shot out shouldn't have hurt THAT much!" I chuckled.

"Well, they are shot out at high speed, not to mention the pressure behind them as well. They're basically like bullets but without the gun powder and penetration factor." Momo giggled.

I stood up and wiped my face, "Speaking of creating things, that hat you made for Luna, did she actually ask you to make that?"

"She kept pestering me about making a 'big shooty man' hat. I figured she was talking about cowboys, which thankfully, I was correct." Momo nodded.

A... A big shooty man hat? I kind of didn't expect her to call it that, quite honestly, it's rather adorable!

[Several Hours Later...]

I hung out in Bakugo's room, I've been hanging out with him a lot over the past few months. He's really helped me out with what I've been feeling recently.

"So, you still feeling like you've been fucked over?" Bakugo wondered.

"Yeah, I still am, it's hard to forget everything that they've done to me. I know I said I forgave them, but... I just can't shake the feeling that I should just lash out in violence against them." I admitted.

"Well, who all was it again? Midnight, Ponytail, Nezu, Snipe, and Ectoplasm, right?" Bakugo inquired.

I nodded at him, "That's correct. Nobody else was a part of it, although I forgave Mr. Aizawa, being that he tried to stop it but it didn't go out so well. Why?"

"Follow me." He replied.

I got up rather confused and followed him out of his room. We made our way outside towards Ground Beta. The moon illuminated the streets of the empty training area, it was rather peaceful out here.

"Wait here, alright?" Bakugo told me.

I nodded at him and he went into one of the building. He brought out a training dummy that we use during rescue training. These things were pretty durable!

"Go on, beat the fuck out it, get that frustration out." He instructed.

*THIRD PERSON*

Without hesitation, Leonidus activated his Overdrive, a sight Bakugo hadn't seen in quite some time. He charged right at it, delivering a blow to the dummy's stomach. Wind went straight through the dummy, rattling the nearby windows. He kept punching the dummy in the gut, Bakugo watched on as the impacts grew louder and harder. Katsuki noticed tears run down Alyx's face from the glow of his Overdrive.

"FUCK YOU!" Alyx cried out.

An Overdrive Fist sent the training dummy burrowing into the street. Leonidus chased after it, Bakugo quickly followed, knowing that the patrolling security would be there any minute. Alyx repeatedly slammed the training dummy's head into the broken ground, his fingers on his left hand became bloodied as he gripped the dirt tightly.

"YOU RUINED IT! YOU FUCKING RUINED IT ALL!!" Leonidus sobbed out of rage.

Bakugo knelt down behind him and placed his hand on Alyx's shoulder. Leonidus stopped his assault on the training dummy, he looked behind him to see Bakugo, he saw a look he's never seen on Bakugo's face before: A look of concern.

"Let's go, you've shown me enough." Bakugo spoke softly.

The two got up and hurried out of Ground Beta, Katsuki let Leonidus fly up to his room instead of going through the main doors.

"Oh, Kacchan, where's Alyx at?" Izuku wondered.

"He's in his room, where's Ponytail at? I need to talk to her." Bakugo responded.

"She's in in her room. Why do you need to talk to her?" Jiro chimed in.

Bakugo ignored her question and walked up to the fifth floor. He knocked on Yaoyorozu's door, she answered it but was taken aback a bit.

"Oh, Bakugo...? What do you need?" Momo questioned.

"We need to talk, that's what I need, let me in." Bakugo told her.

She nodded at him and let him inside her room. She shut the door behind her, Bakugo stared out of her balcony door.

"Any reason why you couldn't stop those experiments? And don't you dare give me a bullshit answer." He continued.

"Bakugo, it's not that simple. I've-" Momo tried to answer.

"It's not that simple? You changed him completely, the Alyx Leonidus I knew is no longer here, and it's all because of what you fuckers done. He's trapped inside of a shell that's hollow, a shell that isn't him. You only seen him as a Quirk, didn't you? That's why you were so quick to get so close to him, you don't care about who he is, you only care about whatever the hell it was you all were researching. What do you think he'll do once he's out of here and on his own? Do you think he won't snap?" Bakugo interrupted.

Momo looked down at the ground, still trying to come up with an answer. Bakugo glared at her from the corner of his eye.

"You've seen first hand what he can do, how strong he is, what happens when he decides to listen to the things in his head? Who's going to stop him then? What will any of you try to do when he finally says 'fuck it' and wipes out half the planet? Can you fucking answer me that question, Yaoyorozu? You don't even understand the half of what you've all done to him. For you to sit there and not come up with a way to break him out of this shell, it's fucking disgusting." Bakugo continued.

He clenched his fists as they slightly trembled, he bit his lip as tears began to build up in his eyes. He fiercely turned around to face Momo, who looked up at Katsuki, surprised to see tears in his eyes.

"I know what it feels like to be seen as just my Quirk, I would never wish that much pain on someone else, but I couldn't stop it from happening to him. Not only was I the one to end All Might's career, but... But why was I the one not able to save Alyx when nobody else would? Why was this the one goddamn thing I couldn't win? How fucking dare you... Try not to make things the way they were again..." Bakugo sniffled.

"You... Y-You drove him to a suicide attempt... Did you realize that? Why aren't you saying anything?" Bakugo scowled.

Silence filled the air once more, Katsuki stormed out of Yaoyorozu's room, slamming her door and nearly sending it off its hinges! Bakugo felt an incomprehensible anger, beyond that of his prior fits of rage. He stomped downstairs and out of the dorms, he sent an explosion that ripped through multiple trees.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Bakugo shouted.

Meanwhile, Yaoyorozu stood in her room, blankly staring at her floor. Jiro peeked her head through Momo's door.

"Yaomomo, is everything okay? Bakugo just-" Jiro fretted.

Momo turned around, her eyes bore the same emptiness as Leonidus' had.
