Running for his life

Dawn silently moved forward while vigilantly looking around himself.

He scanned the surroundings for any signs of danger and suddenly he stopped.

Some distance away from Dawn could hear the faint sobbing sound.

Dawn frowned and after thinking about it, he moved toward the direction of the sound.

After walking for a couple of steps he arrived in front of a full-sized SUV. In the driver's seat was the headless body of a man.

Dawn looked at the middle row as the sound seemed to be coming from there.

With a hesitant expression on his face, Dawn opened the door.

Instantly the sound of sobbing became louder and slightly demonic, Dawn felt a chill run down his spine.

He frowned because there was no one in the middle row, then what was the source of the sound?

Suddenly black light shot out from the opened Door toward Dawn, before he could react the Black Ray merged with him and rapidly moved toward his head.

Dawn felt as if someone had poured freezing water on him, even after the fact that his body gave him resistance to cold but it was proving useless.

Dawn was sure that he would freeze from inside if he didn't do anything.

The mana circulation inside his body was decreasing rapidly, his Origin heart was starting to slow down.

"Damn! What the hell is happening," Dawn muttered in a hoarse voice, he wasn't even able to speak properly.

The dark Ray of light was about to reach his brain, and Dawn suddenly had a feeling of certain death.

"Damn! ~D…Damn!" Dawn's legs suddenly shook and he fell to the ground.

Dawn felt the Black Ray dividing into two parts one moving toward his brain and the other toward his heart.

As soon as the black Ray reached Dawn's heart it slowed down.

Dawn's eyes shined when he noticed this and instantly pushed void walker flow to its maximum, the mana inside veins started to rapidly circulate.

Slowly his vision started to become clear and coldness vanished but the black Ray hadn't completely vanished.

Its speed had reduced greatly but it was still slowly crawling toward Dawn's neck at a snail's pace.

Now that he knew what black ray weakness was he was going to end it for all, the mama circulated at an even speed.

When the speed reached two hundred twelve circulations per minute, Dawn felt as if his veins were gonna explode.

Dawn was in immense pain, only with sheer willpower he pushed through it and finally, the black ray vanished.

"What the fuck was that," Dawn huffed and cursed loudly.

This was the weirdest thing that he faced since transmigrating, he was still shocked by the horror of that thing. He didn't even know what it was.

Slowly he got up from the floor and dusted himself, he looked at his clothes which were torn from several places, and his face which was covered in dust.

Dawn looked exactly like a homeless man that you find on the streets begging for food.

Dawn looked at the cars and then at the road he picked the direction from which most cars were coming, he guessed that's where he would find tons of zombies.

Dawn moved forward even more vigilantly this time, he already learned his lesson earlier. This time no matter what sound he heard, he didn't go there to check it didn't matter whether it was the sound of a baby crying or a young maiden crying for help.

Unconsciously Dawn's speed increased several fold, at this moment he was practically fleeing for his life. The cry for help was becoming desperate and demonic.

Dawn was proven right when he looked behind him from the corner of his eye dozens of black rays of light were rushing toward him from different directions.

Hundreds of bullets made of pure Dark mana appeared around him, Dawn willed all of them to strike black rays.

However, soon a grim expression appeared on his face as the bullets seemed to have just passed through them.

Without even being able to reduce the speed of black rays, they just struck the random cars on the street.

Dawn's mind was racing at lightning speed, thinking of all the ideas that could help him avoid tragedy.

An idea slowly took shape in his mind, Dawn steeled his expression and dozens of portals appeared in mid-air, glowing in crimson light.

Earth Titans jumped out of them one by one, he decided to sacrifice some of his summons to escape.

20-foot Earth Titans roared at the top of their lungs, their eyes filled with confusion as they scanned the surroundings for the enemy.

However, they didn't have to wait for long as the dozens of black rays instantly arrived and merged with them.

Unlike earlier when only one black ray had managed to enter Dawn's body, this time multiple black rays merged with Earth Titans' bodies.

Instantly the black rays moved toward Earth Titan's head and in barely seconds the Earth Titan's head exploded, Dawn didn't stop to look at sight behind him.

He was already tens of kilometers away.

The Earth Titans whose heads had exploded, headless bodies turned into particles of light and instantly appeared in front of Dawn and merged with him.

None of the Earth Titans were spared, all of them had to suffer the same fate, after consuming Titans head Black Rays seemed to be satisfied they didn't chase after Dawn and disappeared.

Dawn was lucky this time, if earlier not one but multiple black rays had attacked him, he would have already turned into a headless corpse lying on the road.
