After running for some time Dawn finally stopped to look behind him.
"Thank God!" Dawn muttered with relief in his voice, he was feeling thankful that Black rays didn't chase after him.
Dawn didn't mind the loss of Earth Titans as it was just a temporary loss if he wanted he could summon them once more.
Dawn scanned his surroundings carefully, he was still following the highway as he was sure that it led to a big city.
The highway was passing through a huge forest, and all around it were huge trees with thorns all over them. It was Dawn's first time seeing such strange trees.
After walking for 15 minutes, he didn't find anything useful, no clothes, no food and no animal crossing which only meant one thing.
There were probably no animals around, the finding made Dawn sigh in relief.
He didn't want to fight once more, but then he remembered his target of killing a million monsters.
It wasn't a good thing anymore.
Dawn smacked his lips in annoyance and decided to continue walking forward.
After 2 hours the sight around him had started to change, the trees around him became sparse and the number of vehicles on the road increased along with the number of monsters.
Dawn was starting to encounter a small horde of Zombies every few hundred meters.
Slowly abandoned buildings started to appear in the distance, contrary to the earlier city which was covered with skyscrapers there weren't many tall buildings.
Buildings not taller than 4 storeys and a couple of 10 storeys here and there were all the things that Dawn managed to see.
Dawn was extremely vigilant this time, every step that he took was filled with caution. He couldn't afford to be careless, luck wasn't always going to be by his side.
The incident with the black rays was a grim reminder of where he was currently.
Heavenly tribulation was nothing to scoff at, who knows how many cultivators die every day while facing this challenge and who can say that they didn't have an even more overpowered talent than his?
One single mistake and he can forget about his goal of eternal life.
Suddenly Dawn frowned, now that he thought about it, he hadn't found anything related to the lifespan of cultivators.
"Strange! Very strange," Dawn thought inside his head, he decided to look for more information when he could.
For now, Dawn decided to focus on the present and situation and think about it later, When he took one more step forward.
Dawn hurriedly pitched his nose with his hand, the disgusting smell of rotten corpses assaulted his nose, he almost felt like puking.
Even the mana that he was breathing felt corrupted with the rotten smell, even if someone had managed to survive the attack of the monsters, the smell would have surely claimed their lives.
After walking for another minute the smell almost became unbearable, Dawn decided to entirely close his sense smell.
Dawn continued to move forward now that he was unaffected by the disgusting smell.
Grr! Grah! Weird noises were coming from ahead of him.
Dawn climbed one of the tallest buildings to take a look around his surroundings.
He was easily able to climb the building by bending mana into a hook shape.
He walked to the end and a Grim expression appeared on his face.
What was worse than a zombie with a completely rotten smell and mangled internal organs spilling from the open wounds?
Well, a sea of disgusting zombies!
Dawn could feel every cell in his body tremble; not out of fear, but due to disgust.
"So this was the reason for the awful smell," Dawn couldn't help but mutter, as his black hair danced in the wind.
Even as he looked at the endless sea of Zombies walking like moving corpses, consuming each other as there wasn't enough fresh flesh available, there was no sign of worry on Dawn's face.
This was also natural considering if he wanted he could summon his monster at channel construction realm and these monsters would just disappear.
Other than that he was also strong enough to wipe out these beasts if given enough time.
While it was not something that could be done in a day or two alone but with the help of his monster Dawn was confident that he would be able to do it one day.
Those new zombies who had their flesh intact were brutally ripped apart by the others.
Standing on top of a concrete building several feet high, Dawn could see an almost black sea of Zombies.
Dawn took a deep breath and summoned four Barbarians kings as the monsters at Body Refining realm would just take forever.
Inside his sea of consciousness portraits of the Barbarian king shone in golden light, his pillar of summoning talent emitted red light, and four portals appeared in mid-air in front of Dawn from which Barbarian kings jumped out.
Their black metallic armor was still impressive as always, their dual black axes shined brightly.
They landed in front of Dawn and bowed, they silently waited for his command.
Dawn didn't keep them waiting for long, he directly instructed them to wipe out the sea of zombies below.
Four of them directly jumped down from the top of the building, like a ballistic missile they landed on the ground.
Their landing generated a shockwave that sent the zombies flying everywhere.
A silver ring appeared behind each of them and the pressure of channel Construction was fully released.
Zombies that were closest to them were instantly torn apart by the mighty pressure not being able to resist at all.
While the barbarian kings were doing their thing.
Dawn wasn't sitting still, he opened his eyes wide, preparing himself for a long battle.
The mana inside his body began to buzz as it sensed his command. His breathing slowly began longer and deeper as his sight took in everything around him with clarity and detail.
His Mana Bending skill was incredibly powerful, a skill that could bend mana turning into anything that he willed was the same as a mortal turning sand into gold.
An almost heaven-defying task, Dawn had thought many times in the past how such a broken skill could exist.
It was also true that the limits of skill were Dawn's imagination, his mastery over it. He was still miles away from complete mastery.
