Victoria's POV

"How was your day ?". Sonia asked the moment I got into the apartment.

"Terrible". I murmured and lay down on the bed, 

"What happened, is your aunt okay ?". She asked in a worried tune.

"She is fine". I murmured and stood up from the bed, I walk to the fridge and took out a bottle of water.

"Then what's the problem".she asked, 

I hissed and pour the water in a cup.

"There is a machine to help bring aunt out of unconsciousness and permanently treat me ". I whisper and took a sip of the water.

"That's good news". Sonia exclaim.

"Indeed". I murmured 

"You don't look happy, what's wrong ".she asked 

I hissed softly and return to the bed and sat on it.

"What's wrong".she asked while glaring at me with curiosity.

"The machine and drugs are really expensive". I murmured

"Expensive?, how much are we talking about here ?".she asked 

"Fifty thousand dollars "

"Jesus Christ".she shouted in shock and stared at me with wild eyes.

"Where will you get such amount of money ".she asked, 

"I dunno". I replied and lay down on the bed with my back on the bed.

"This is bad ".she murmured.

I hissed softly and all that the doctor said came buzzing in my head.

"She is gradually dying as the day goes by ". I murmured.

Sonia hissed and sat beside me.

"It's okay Vicky, heaven knows you did your best, all the drugs and treatment has taken your savings, everybody knows you are trying, don't kill yourself okay ".she placed her hand on my shoulder.

I hissed in frustration and closed my eyes.

"I can't let her die, not when I'm the cause of she lying lifeless there and here i am  full of life ". I murmured in pain 

"That's not true, you are not full of life, you are also suffering, but you don't show it, and it wasn't your fault, it's an accident anyone can have an accident".she tried consoling me, but it wasn't working.

I stood up from the bed and walk aimlessly in the room.

"What are you thinking, Vicky ". Sonia asked 

"I need to look for a way Sonia, I can't let aunt die not when I can do something"I muttered out in anger 

"What are you planning on doing Vicky". Sonia asked while staring at me with curiosity.

I kept silent and did not say a word.

"Hope it not what am thinking ". Sonia asked in shock.

I knew what she meant,, but she might be right about it.

"This is bad".she whispered.

I was about to say something when my phone started ringing.

I check the caller and saw the call was from a strange number 

"Hello 

"Hello Vicky ".

"Sorry, who is this ". I asked, 

He chuckled softly before speaking up 

"It's me Kelvin".he muttered out.

"Master Kelvin?". I asked in shock. 

"Just call me Kelvin".he demanded in a cool voice.

I stared at Sonia, who was staring at me with wild eyes.

"How did you get my number".

He chuckled softly before speaking up 

"That's an easy task, where are you ".he asked 

"I'm home ".

"Alright I'll come pick you up in an hour time ".he expressed those words as a command, 

"Why, where are we going to ?".

"Don't worry, just dress simple and wait for me ".he said those words and ended the call.

"What was that ". Sonia asked, 

"It's Kelvin". I replied, 

"As in master Kelvin ?".she asked 

"Yeah, he wants to take me out". I murmured.

"That's good, you should start preparing". 

"Can you listen to yourself ". I murmured in anger.

"My aunt is dying and here you are asking me to go out with Kelvin and do what exactly". I spoke in anger.

She hissed softly before speaking up, 

"You are going through a lot and I think it will be better if you go out and clear your head ".

"I don't want to ". I murmured and pull off my clothes and lay on the bed.

I was about sleeping off when I remembered I didn't off my phone .

Quickly, I went for my phone and switched it off.

"Vicky ". Sonia called out to me,, but I ignored her and closed my eyes.

I have a lot of things going on my head, I can't go out enjoying myself pretending like all was well.

"Vicky, wake up ". I heard Sonia voice in my sleep, 

"Leave me alone ". I murmured in annoyance, 

"Master Kelvin is here ".she whispered 

"I don't care, you can go out with him ". I murmured and turn to the other side of the bed.

“Vicky”.she shakes my legs.

I hissed in anger and open my eyes.

"What the fuck is your problem ". I asked in anger.

"He has been standing outside ". She whispered

I hissed softly and stood up from the bed, I pick up my cloths and worn them before going for the door.

I open the door and saw Kelvin smartly dressed in just a jean and a black T shirt.

"Hey Vicky ".he smiled at me

"What do you want ". I asked in irritation.

He stared directly into my eyes like he was piercing through my soul and for strange reasons I couldn't look away, it felt like I was being intoxicated by his gaze.

"What is bothering you ?".he asked like he was so sure of it

I blink my eyes and remove my gaze from him.

"What makes you think I'm going through trouble?". I asked

He smiled and try to hold my gaze, but quickly I look away.

"It's involves money ".he expressed those words not as a question.

"Who is telling you all this, did Sonia say anything to you ". I asked, 

"No one, I just can read through you ".he muttered out those words confidently.

I hissed softly and avoided his gaze.

"Come, let me take you out ".

"Sorry, I can't ". I murmured 

"It's not an option".he said those words in a rough dominant voice that brought shivers all over my body and I couldn't say a thing.

"I'll be waiting in my car ".he muttered out those words and walked away.

I closed the door and could still feel my body shivering by his words.

This is strange, really strange.
