A Development In Ability

We had been sailing for a little over 6 weeks now.

The recent following of events were slowly beginning to indicate that more conflicts were on the horizon. I needed to refine my strength more, I couldn't just rely on Fulgur Vatistas to wipe all my problems from the face of the planet.

So I had the ship dock on an uninhabitated island with a huge mountain within Whitebeard's Territory. I wouldn't be the only one going through some training. Stussy along with the rest of the crew, were gonna undergo a training regime that would last a couple of months as well.

We had all the resources of the ship removed from it, and we set up camp within the forest. It had gotten dark by the time we had finally finished camp and settled down. Tomorrow would be the first day of the training regime. I thought about bringing the rest of the Whitebeard pirates along, but I quickly discarded the thought because they were very far from where this island was to begin with.

At midnight, I left the camp and slowly made my way to the mountain. I couldn't see the mountain's peak as it was covered with clouds that could only be seen by the light of the moon. I took one last look at the direction of the camp.

I had already given them instructions on how they should train, from running 100 laps along the shores of the island. To constant meditation to improve their spiritual power, even advising them to bathe in the cold lake waters and hot boiling pots so that they cold increase their tolerance to extreme tempratures.

To ensure that they would be training, I warned them that when I return I would promptly be 'sparring' with them. Anyone who I noticed wasn't making any improvements would be doing all the labor within the ship for a long time. An activity that most already loathed during their time sailing with me.

Stussy was going to continue to train herself by continuing to improve the six Rokushiki Techniques. She had shown me how to train it prior to me leaving the camp. However, they seemed to be the most basic of stances. It seems that the higher that the CP0 agents moved up, the more advance techniques they would be getting.

Seeing that she had just been assigned as the head of a group for the Native Hunting Ceremony. She was only trained the simplest of the six Rokushiki techniques. However, it seemed that she knew she had the potential to improve these techniques to tailor her needs. I encouraged her to pursue that during our time on the island.

All in all, everyone within the ship that had come to this island new exactly what they needed to do, if there was anytime to prepare for the turbulent times that were to come. Now was the time, I slowly began my ascent to the peak by summoning my wings and flying up there.

The winds were turbulent the higher I flew. I could sense lightning spurring across the heavens as I slowly began to see the top of the mountain. Lightning had struck my body multiple times, but I continued to ignore the injuries as I kept climbing up.

The peak appeared as a depressed circular surface. It appeared that there used be a lake up here, but this didn't matter to me. I landed in the middle of the depressed peak and sat down with my legs crossed. It had been a long time since I meditated.

I suddenly felt more spiritual power than I had felt compared to the last time I had meditated. It almost felt like my spiritual power had doubled itself while I continued on with my life.

After getting a feel of how much spiritual energy I had accumulated, I slowly started to streamline this energy bit by bit through my body. Judging from the amount of energy within my body, I could tell this would take a while.

Moreover, it was mentally exhausting as it required every bit of my focus in order to prevent any spiritual energy from leaking out while I did this. This task was similar to using a needle to sew a sweater into creation: it took delicate and precise work.

Around my surroundings, I slowly started to feel lightning surge across my surroundings. It tickled my body and thunder was rolling almost continuously. This escalated the more I continued to weave my spiritual energy through my body.

The spiritual energy would move often like the blood in my veins, it would slowly coat my insides with my willpower before slowly radiating itself to my skin. It took quite a bit of time to cover my whole body with my spiritual power.

I opened my eyes as I could feel more and more lightning surge across my surroundings. My spiritual energy had successfully covered my entire body. Now I would be much quicker to coat any part of my body with Armament Haki. Moreso, thanks to my spiritual energy managing to cover my brain, my sensual processing speed had increased significantly compared to what I normally could.

This would only mark the beginning of my training as I slowly started to pick up my axe to practice my axe skills. So far, I only had one move that was able to contend with Big Mom's most powerful attack, Ikoku Sovereignity. However, I just felt that it wasn't enough, Big Mom had yet to reach her prime. This meant that she had the potential to show way more power in the future compared to now. She was still making babies after all, this simply wasn't enough.

I continued to swing my axe, moving as fast as I could as I danced across the peak's depression. I didn't need too much of a skill repertoire. Maybe just three moves that would have devastating effects towards its targets.

I slowly began to cover my axe with haki. I had infused Armament haki with Conqurer's haki when even more powerful silver lightning began to crackle across my axe's surface. This lightning felt more powerful, more....devastating. I slowly twirled my axe as I leaped as high as I could, I landed right on the edge of the mountain before swinging my axe downwards towards the sea.

I made sure to target the opposite side of the camp so as not to destroy the camp and possibly kill them.

Anyway, what followed this brief swing was a silver lightning tounged shockwave followed by an impacted sea that almost showed its bottom. The impact was so large that water of the sea gave way to the force and forcefully separated itself from the earth of the point of impact.

It stayed this way for quite some time before the sea could fill in the large hole it had made and return the sea to its original form. It was quite the destructive move, I decided to call this Fulgur exitii : the lightning of destruction.

Quite the fitting name for it, I might add. There was much room for improvement as I felt that I hadn't seen the attack's full potential yet. However, time was all that I had.

[ Again, Please read the creators thoughts, Thank you!!! ]

Hi guys, So I heard a lot about training the Mc so I decided to make one.

I'm not really sure whether this chapter was the kind of training arc you guys were looking for.

As a result, I'll stop on this chapter to see whether y'all like it or not.

If y'all really do like it, I'll drop the other three chapters tommorow. I might find myself writing on saturday because of this, but no matter.

Please do let me know how I did, and what I need to improve.

Love y'all!!!
