The Trinity System

Levels? Evolution? Fate had none of these. She got the short end of the stick and was born a normal human. Looked down upon due to not being a Trinity, a human with a system. Her goal? To get the hell out of her house and away from her crazy mother. She wanted to take one of the portals that lead to another world and live out her life. This was her plan. Until she was forced to go to Trinity Academy. Bullied and left for dead on another world, the nanomachines in her body were only able to save her by forcing her to evolve. What she evolved into was the first of her kind. *** Artwork, not mine!*** Will update when I get a custom cover. One Who Watches From Afar

Fate scanned her surroundings and frowned. "Why the hell are there so many monsters in this place!?"

No matter which way she looked, she could see monsters roaming about. None of them had taken notice of her, but they were within the forest. Hmm, let's see... Fate decided to take a look at her skills.

[Skills]

{Illusion} {Blood Strike} {Blood Claw} {Blood Shield} {Water Cutter} {Fireball} {Earth Wall} {Wind Aura} {Paralyze} {Frost Field} {Minor Healing} {Illuminate} {Shadow Control} {Shadow Fade}

"{Blood Strike}, {Blood Claw}, {Blood Shield}, these skills require me to use my blood in order to activate them, and this will decrease my [Hunger] stat rapidly. Blood strike alone requires 10 [Hunger] while blood shield requires 20… Is there a way to raise my [Hunger] amount...?" Fate looked through her basic stats, but nothing showed any way of doing such a thing.

"Although these skills look powerful, I guess I will need to rely on my other skills for now. At least until I can figure out a way to carry some blood around with me… Let's see… {Shadow Control}... This seems to be a binding technique that controls the shadows in the surroundings and binds your enemies. As for {Shadow Fade}... Let's see 10 [MP] per minute and will mask my presence from those with lower [Intelligence] and [Mind]... My [Mind] stat is at 20 while [Intelligence] is at 10… Wait, is 10 low for [Intelligence]? Does this make me stupid? Well, at any rate, the thing I need most right now is to mask my presence. Especially if I wish to take a bath, so let me put some points into [Mind] and [Intellegence]. I will even them both out at 30...

"Now the last 20 points can go into the last three. I will make both [Strength] and [Agility] 30 as well. Then the last five points can go into [Vitality]... Now let me look at what I got going here..."

{Charm} {Your Hunger Grows}

"Wow, this is pretty amazing." Just by raising her stats, she could feel her body growing stronger and her mind growing clearer. She took a quick glance at the other spells and smiled, seeing their usage cost. "Basic attack spells are 2 to 5 [MP] per use. I wonder which ones of these stats raise my [MP] regeneration..."

Fate scanned her stats until she reached her [Mind] stat, which showed her [MP] regeneration rate. " 3 [MP] a minute… I guess this is alright. I will need to raise my [Mind] stat more at some point. It seems I get 1 [MP] regeneration for every 10 points. For now, I will just try to sneak by these monsters and make it to the water source I hear. If it looks like I can't, then I will use {Shadow Fade}..."

With her plan set, Fate walked into the tree line in front of her. She felt light on her feet as she made her way through the woods at a steady pace. She made sure to stay clear of any monsters, and luckily for her, no monsters actually took notice of her as she arrived at the side of a small stream that looked to be about waist deep. She looked out over the steam that looked beautiful with the two moons in the sky lighting the glistening water as it flowed. She squatted down by the lake's edge and examined her face.

"So, I look the same for the most part." Fate opened her mouth and examined her teeth. "Not bad… I have fangs, but they were not really noticeable unless I were to open my mouth wide. But the difference between mine or those who have evolved to have beast blood in them is minimal. Well, I can't say everything is the same. My ears are a little pointier, but this is also not really noticeable, especially since my hair will cover them most of the time. This works out perfectly for me. The last thing I want is those fuckers knowing I have a system for now. At least until I am strong enough to protect myself. I would hate to think about what they would do to me if they did find out. I would end up on some operating table as they dissected me to see what makes me tick."

Fate sat back and stared out over the water for a few minutes before finally pulling off her shoes and dunking them into the water. They were soaked in blood just like her clothes and were also the only pair she owned. "I will try to reach level two tomorrow and then head back to the settlement tomorrow night. As far as I can tell, these monsters seem to be all low level, or they would have quickly sensed me. Or maybe my scent has also turned into that of a monster."

After doing her best to scrub her shoes and socks, she set them aside and dipped her feet into the flowing water. "Nice and warm!" Fate smiled as she quickly scanned the area around her before slipping her clothes off. She then hurriedly got into the stream and lowered her body so that only her head was exposed. Even though she was quite sure that no one would be out here this late, she still did not want to take any chances as she scrubbed her clothes underwater, getting as much of the sticky blood off as she could. She spent almost an hour trying to wash her clothes, but no matter what, the clothes would still be stained. Sighing, she laid the clothes back onto the shore before going back into the water to wash herself off.

The moonlight sparkled off Fate's now snow white skin. It was a change she had not noticed. Her skin was now milky white without a single blemish except the dried blood. After washing her hair and scrubbing all the blood off her skin, Fate finally felt refreshed.

Fate once again took a look around before she laid back in the water of the slow moving stream in the shallower part, only leaving one leg down to keep herself from floating away. "To think I would be bathing in the middle of a jungle, on a different planet. The sky sure is pretty..."

The night sky allowed perfect vision of the stars above. These stars were foreign to Fate as none of the clusters looked familiar. As Fate soaked in the stream staring at the sky. A figure that was not too far away was trying to figure out what he was currently witnessing. The figure in the water was like a divine being. The light of the moon illuminated her body in a misty glow giving the beautiful girl an ethereal look to her. "To think I would see such a beautiful girl out this far from the safety zone… Wait… Isn't that… To think I would have found her so soon..."

The young man took out his night vision goggles and looked at the girl's face before trailing over the rest of her body. Shaking his head and pulling off the goggles, he pondered for a moment before making a decision. "It's good she is safe. After hearing the Sergeants report today, I found it highly odd, which was why I came to take a look myself. But what I do not get is that she doesn't have a single wound on her body. It is completely flawless.., No, No… Aiden, get your head out of your dick."

Aiden chided himself before he let out a sigh and gazed back over at Fate, who was still floating there defenseless. "I will just watch over her for now. She doesn't seem to be in a hurry to go back just yet. But I do find it strange, there are so many monsters around, and yet they ignore her like she doesn't even exist."

Aiden leaned up against the tree and turned his eyes off Fate. He did his best to clear his mind, but the picture of Fate's flawless body kept appearing in his head. After a while of waiting, he finally heard a splash which made him look over, only to see Fate getting dressed. But the sight of her tattered clothes confused him even more. Especially her shirt, which had a huge chunk missing by her waist. "Was she attacked?"

Fate did not sense or see the figure who had been watching her this entire time. She was kind of upset due to her clothes still being damp. She decided to just leave the socks and slipped her shoes on before she looked around once more. "Since I have decided to stay and level up to level two, I guess I will go back to the cave for now. Surprisingly I am not even hungry or thirsty. Is this because I am a vampire now?" Fate pondered to herself. "I wonder if I can even eat regular food now. Well. I can always catch a small monster to snack on tomorrow."

Fate shrugged her shoulders. The thought of drinking blood didn't bother her as much as it would others. For her, this was all a blessing, and she would do anything to keep herself alive. "Actually, now that I think about it, I am not even tired. Since that is the case…. Hehe!" Fate gaze fell on a few slithers roaming nearby. "Come my pretties! Come be this queen's XP!"

Off in the distance, Aiden had just gotten close enough to hear the last thing Fate had said and almost burst out laughing. "Did she really just call herself queen!?" Aiden shook his head as he smiled before the last part of her words clicked in his mind. "XP? Does this girl really have a system? If so, why is she acting as if she doesn't? All kids are tested the day after they turn sixteen. It is for sure that she did not have a system, so why? How?"

Aiden had a lot of questions, but the only one who could answer those questions was Fate. But he knew if the girl had been hiding her system, then it was most likely for a good reason. "Whatever the reason is, it's not my business. For now, I will guard her until she returns to the settlement. I can at least do this much for her."

Aiden's gaze fell on Fate, who was running off through the trees and quickly followed after her making sure to keep a fair distance away and out of sight. He was someone who could understand Fate the most, which was why he healed her both times. The first time he could only do it discreetly, but the second time he made sure every bone was perfectly healed. This was because his sister was a normal human, and no more than a month after she was found to not have a system, she was snatched up by some trinity, and Aiden had not seen her since. At the time, he was only fourteen. Now he was eighteen. He worked hard and learned all the trinity curriculum at the Trinity Academy in another city different from the one Fate goes to on Earth. In two years, he had excelled in his classes and passed every course, speeding through the training to become the first person to graduate so early. All because he wished to find the trinity that took his sister away and, if possible, bring her back home, or if it turns up she is dead, then he will avenge his sister. "I couldn't protect my sister, but as I am now, I can at least protect your secret… Fate..."
