A Bloodbath That Was Able To Dye The Twin Moons Red

Fate stood behind a tree only a few meters away from a single slither. Fate felt lucky that the monsters in the area seemed to like to work solo. "Now to wait for it to turn its back and... {Water Cutter}!"

Fate stretched out her hand and fired off a blade of water directly at the slithers neck. Fate felt for sure her attack would work, but to her surprise, the slither lowered its head, dodging the blade of water. The blade of water smashed into the tree opposite the slither leaving a deep gash. "Damn it! No one told me these fucking things were smart!"

It was not that the slither had high intelligence; it was just the killing intent that Fate exuded when she attacked. It was easily detected by the slither, who instinctively dodged the incoming danger. But Fate was not one to give up that easily. Since her attack failed, she quickly used {Shadow Fade} to chase after the fleeing slither.

The thing Fate could not understand was this slither seemed to be running from her as if its life depended on it. Although its life really did depend on it, it was still a strange reaction seeing how low level Fate was. If anything, the slither should have turned to attack her. But at this time, Fate did not realize that her eyes were glowing red because of her excitement. She was finding a great thrill hunting down the monster in front of her. Along with the creepy smile she had on her face, combined with her red glowing eyes, it made her look much more like she was some kind of crazy killer.

As for Aiden, who was following behind her, he was more amazed at how fast Fate was moving and how she was bouncing from tree to tree in a swift motion propelling herself forward at a fast pace. He himself was already level 25, and his [Agility] was at 20, which made him faster than most. He specializes in speed, and even he was having a hard time keeping up with her.

In no time at all, Fate had caught up to the slither. "Looks like you are mine! Give me that beautiful XP!" Fate pushed off a tree, canceled her {Shadow Fade}, and did a front flip in the air before landing on the back of the slither. She raised the knife in her hand and stabbed it down into the Slither's head, piercing its thick skin, its skull, and killing it instantly.

The slither collapsed to the ground and skidded about a meter before coming to a full stop. Fate stared dumbfoundedly at the slither. She was confused as to why it was so easy to kill. "If I am right from what we were told, slithers were hard to kill for new ability users, right? Is it because I stabbed its brain? "

Fate pulled the knife out of the slithers head and looked at the blood on the blade. Just the scent alone made her lick her lips. She brought her blade to her mouth and stuck out her tongue, licking the blade clean. She then looked at her status screen and checked her [Hunger] stat. "96… I guess this much blood won't do anything, huh? Well..."

Fate inspected her surroundings. When she saw no one around, she lowered her head and bit into the slither's slimy neck. Blood flowed into her mouth as she began to drink. Her eyes turned crimson, glowing brightly. "Hmmm… seems different kinds of blood have different flavors..."

Fate wiped her mouth and smiled. "At least monster blood can also sustain me. Although I don't think I will bite into another slither any time soon. They are way too slimy!"

Aiden, who was not far away, heard every word Fate had said and had seen her glowing red eyes. "This girl is so damn defenseless! If I were someone else, I would have already run out to report this information back!" Aiden mumbled to himself as he slid down the tree he was leaning against. "But now I understand why she would want to keep things a secret. She seems to have evolved into a new kind of race. One that needs blood to survive. I am surprised that she has not screwed up yet and gotten herself caught with how dumb she is acting. Sigh... This could also be why her fighting ability is top notch as well. No, that can't be right; she only just turned 16."

Aiden shook his head in disbelief. It appeared Fate had no sense of danger or awareness of her surroundings. "I will need to find a way to train her in the future… these kinds of actions will result in her being caught sooner or later." Aiden decided he would be more vigilant in his surroundings as well.

While Aiden was trying to figure out plans to help Fate more in the future, Fate stood up and stretched her arms and legs before opening her system menu again to look at how much XP she got. "100 [XP]..." A new status could be seen in her status window. But the numbers she saw left her feeling very depressed.

"What the hell is this!? 10000 [XP] to reach level 2!? How is this fair?" Fate pouted before trying to pump herself up. "Come on, Fate, you can do this! You only need to kill ninety nine more of these monsters!"

After taking a deep breath, Fate charged towards her next target. She had given up on trying to do long ranged attacks and went straight for close combat. With her speed and use of {Shadow Fade}, she felt much more in her element with close combat than ranged. Her first target was another slither, which she quickly assassinated with ease. This slither had no warning when Fate suddenly appeared over it and slammed her knife into its head. "Next!"

This section of the jungle seemed to be filled with slithers. Each one died quickly with no effort. Aiden, who was watching the bloodbath that was able to dye the twin moons red in pure shock. He was amazed at Fate's efficiency when it came to killing. If he hadn't known any better, it was almost as if she was someone who had been trained in the art of killing for many years. Of course, he did not know about Fate's {Shadow Fade} ability that allowed her to basically become invisible to those around her level range. But for these level 1 slithers, this was nothing more than a cake walk. Half the night went by, and Fate had already killed twenty slithers, including the first one she killed.

The sun began to rise up over the horizon running in the new day. Fate sat beside a dead slither and cut its neck open to drain out some of its blood before drinking a few handfuls, refilling her [Hunger] stat. "I wonder if blood is fattening… I do feel full after drinking it and do not feel even the slightest bit famished."

Fate looked up at the brightening skies, and a thought came to mind. "Wait, can I even be out during the day?"

This was the one thing Fate hated about her new race was that she did not know anything about it. There was never any documentation on her race, so she could only assume that it was a new race. But from what she knew about the fantasy style race of vampires was that they were unable to walk under the sunlight. If this were the case, then she would run into many problems. Fate took a deep breath and slowly let it out as she walked to a small spot that was letting the sunlight through. The sun hit her skin, causing her to feel slightly warmer, but that was it. There were no other changes. Fate let out a sigh of relief. "Now that I think about it, it would be kind of dumb to have a system and then not be able to walk under the sunlight.

" Anyway, for now, I guess I will go and dunk my hair in the river once more to help cool me off some before looking for more monsters to fight. I still need another fifty slithers or maybe some higher level monster. This area seems to be mainly dominated by slithers. Hopefully, I can hit level 2 and return to the settlement before tomorrow morning."

Aiden, who was still keeping an eye on Fate, was completely captivated by her. When the light hit her skin, she seemed to give off a special kind of glow that drew him in. When he first saw Fate, he found her to be very pretty and felt bad for how she was being treated. She was forced to go to school with other trinities and be discriminated against for being a normal human. But now, he was having a hard time keeping his eyes off her. Every movement she made was drawing him in. He watched as fate balled up her hair and laid on her back on a long flat rock, and slowly let it fall into the water that was only centimeters away. She laid there with the top of her head slightly submerged in the water with her eyes closed. She had one knee bent, and her other one stretched out as she bathed in the sun. Once again, Aiden felt like he was watching a goddess who had descended to the mortal plane.
