When I came to, the room was brightly lit. I sat up in bed, my fingers brushing against the side of the bed Dameon had slept on. It was cold.
I groaned and yawned, stretching my limbs as I searched for my phone. Not being able to find it on the nightstand, I leaned over the edge of the bed and glanced under the bed as I reached blindly to the floor.
It wasn't until I noticed a pair of legs on the other side of the bed and landed headfirst onto the ground that I realised I wasn't alone in the room. "Owww~!" I groaned, rubbing my head that had been inflicted with the weight of my body.
"What are you up to immediately after waking up?" Dameon chuckled, helping me off the ground as I noticed how he was dressed in his work clothes.
"What time is it?" I blurted out without missing a beat.
"Hmm...? A little past four." He shrugs, sitting with me on the edge of the bed as I flinch.
"Wh-what!? I... I missed work?" I gasped, paling at the thought of wasting another vacation day.
