Extra 13: We are Pirates ~! (35)

The battle was intensifying, with the bodies of pirates and marines falling alike.

Kurama was currently stopping [Shirohige]'s Naginata with his bare hands, surprising not only Edward himself, but everyone watching them.

"Impossible" - Sengoku said because he could see how [Shirohige]'s weapon was trembling slightly, showing that he was using the power of his [Akuma no Mi] - "He should be screaming like crazy from the pain of feeling how his body is constantly shaking!"

"That's a nice massage, would you mind making it stronger? It's just that I have a knot in my neck that I haven't been able to get out" - said Kurama while looking at the old pirate, only to notice how he frowned.

"As you wish" - said Edward Newgate as the surrounding area began to crack.

Everyone on the battlefield fell to the ground from the massive seismic power that [Shirohige] was released, with the only exception of Kurama who was as if it was nothing.

"Thank you" - smiled Kurama as he thundered his neck - "I needed that."

Edward Newgate was silent as he looked at the albino as if he was a monster.

He never thought there would be someone who could withstand so much of his power without taking any kind of damage - ". . ."

"Oyaji!" - Ace exclaimed upon seeing this while biting his lip, after all, he never thought that the albino who had talked to him during his stay in [Impel Down], would be so strong.

"That guy is a monster" - Sengoku muttered as he started to think - "Not even [Shirohige] can stand against him."

The marine leader was concentrating on the battle, but his expression quickly changed to one of terror when he remembered something that froze him - "Stop the transmission, we can't let the world know about that man's strength or the Marine won't be able to look up in his presence!"

"!" - the marines quickly ran to follow his instructions, only to scream in terror when they saw that no matter what they did, the cameras could not be turned off.

"What's going on!" - Sengoku exclaimed in fury.

"Sir, we can't destroy the cameras, we can't turn them off either!" - exclaimed a sailor in despair, not knowing how all his actions had been recorded.

The people of the world couldn't believe what they were seeing, after all, it showed that the Marines weren't as strong as they claimed to be, and it didn't help that they saw the desperation at not being able to cut the transmission.

"Shit!" - Sengoku roared as he looked in the direction where Edward Newgate and Kurama were, after all, it was obvious that that white-haired man had done something to stop them from cutting the transmission - "All marines, it's time to end this, we can't let the marine be seen as a joke by the people of the world!"

"I guess it's time for us to go fight too, I honestly didn't want things to escalate so fast" - Aokiji said while shaking his head.

"Better get this over with quickly because I honestly don't want things to take a 180° turn with that monster so close" - Kisaru said seriously as he looked at the white-haired man in the distance.

Something told him that even with his speed and Light body, he wouldn't be able to escape if he fought Kurama, which was discouraging.

"No matter how strong he is, justice will always prevail" - Akainu said neutrally while looking at the white-haired man who was "fighting" against [Shirohige] with enormous hostility.

"I think you have to make yourself see that, Sakazuki" - said Aokiji seriously - "Thinking of everything as absolute, is something you should stop doing because it could end up creating the events that will end in your downfall."

"Impossible, my conviction is unshakable, as is my righteousness" - said Akainu neutrally as he looked at his companion with hostility - "In fact, I feel that your attitude is getting further from what an Admiral should have."

Aokiji frowned when he heard this as he felt his body being covered by a hard layer of ice.

"Guys, you better not do anything stupid, not when we're in the middle of a war and everyone is watching us" - Kisaru said as he stood in front of the two men with a serious expression, after all, this wasn't the first time these two fought.

The difference in personalities and values, as well as the compatibility of their [Akuma no Mi], made these two like oil and water.

Aokiji was someone lazy by nature, but at the same time, he was the fairest of the three navy admirals, as well as Garp's "favorite" because they had a similar personality.

As for Akainu, he was the opposite, firm, relentless and serious, he did everything on his own because he had the mentality that justice was something that had to be administered by oneself, and he took himself as a model for his subordinates so that everyone would learn to do things the way he did.

Kisaru was a middle ground between the two, he was carefree, but always followed instructions to the letter.

"Tch" - Akainu clicked his tongue as his body was covered by a layer of lava - "We're not done with this."

"When this battle is over, I'm going to challenge you for the command of the Navy" - Aokiji said neutrally - "I can't let things go on like this any longer, because we'll only end up getting more and more corrupted."

Akainu gave him one last glance before jumping into the battlefield, although his hostile look was more than enough proof to show that his companion's words had infuriated him.

"Kisaru, I just want to ask you a question" - Aokiji said as he looked at his other companion - "Which side are you on?"

"Neutral" - Kisaru answered while shaking his head - "I share views with both of you, although if I have to be honest, I think Akainu has better arguments and results."

"You say that because you are used to following orders to the letter without thinking about anything else" - replied Aokiji while shaking his head - "We are human, Barsolino, we are not perfect enough to say that something is "absolute" because it is not"

Aokiji was silent for a few seconds before shaking his head - "We better talk about this later because if we're not going to fight now, Sengoku-san is going to end up exploding out of anger."

"You have a point" - Kisaru nodded calmly as he disappeared in a golden flash.

Aokiji stayed in place for a few seconds before looking in the direction where the two titans of this battle were clashing - "What are you planning to do?"

No matter how much he asked, there was no answer to this unknown, though if he spoke seriously, something told him that the changes he would bring, would not be a bad one for the world, at least not from his point of view.

"This shit sure is chaotic" - Buggy said with surprise at how the corpses of both pirates and marines, were all over the place - "This reminds me of when I was an apprentice on Roger's ship."

"You can leave remembering the past for another time, now we have to see how to unite and cause as much chaos as possible so he can rescue [Fire Fist] Ace, and I can hunt down [Shirohige]" - said Crocodile neutrally, only to fall to the ground as he felt a huge tremor hit the whole area, although, to his relief, he wasn't the only one who felt it.

"I told you, that guy is a monster" - Buggy said as he shook his head.

"Wow, now that's a man, fighting [Shirohige]" - said Olive with eyes shining like stars.

"Ace!" - Luffy shouted as he ran in the direction where his older brother was.

"That idiot!" - Buggy shouted, only to stop and start thinking - "Wait for a second, why did I care for a few moments about that idiot's well-being when we're enemies?"

"Because that guy has the enormous ability to get allies even from among his enemies" - said Ivankov with a huge grin - "An ability I'm sure you'll recognize."

Buggy was silent when he heard this as he remembered his former captain, only to shake his head in denial - "Impossible, that idiot can't be Roger's equal."

"I'm sure you know the history of that hat, after all, you were on that ship" - Ivankov said with a frown.

"I know, that stupid hat was worn by Shanks, although I don't remember why he was so attached to it" - said Buggy with a frown.

"I guess it was to be expected" - sighed Ivankov while shaking his head - "That hat has a unique and special meaning, after all, it's the one Gol D. Roger wore during his early years as a pirate, you could say that in that hat is his will, his dreams, and hopes."
