Chapter:45 Killing Daichi pt-4

"Is the power supply fixed?....."

"Working on it, Sir!...."

"Finish it as soon as possible! We need visual on those little worms! See to it that the camera are back online!....."

"Yes, Sir!....."

Inside the control room of the hotel, multiple armed individuals could be seen controlling the watch screen, trying to get the cameras to start working.

The lines were being changed and the new power supply was being installed into the place of the short-circuited generator. The attackers were equipped, wearing tactical uniforms and [Anti-Magic Bracelet], not to mention that they themselves were highly capable.

"Try to pinpoint the location of our prey! They must be hiding around the main hall, they couldn't have gone far without us noticing!..."

The attackers had been trying to find out the location where all the politicians were riding so that they could ambush them and fulfil their mission.

"Hmm....? Go see who is at the door!"

One of the individuals immediately went towards the door and slide open the panel to see who was outside.

"Huh? Minato? Orochimaru? What are you both doing here? Both of you should be on your posts! And who is that!?...."

The individual recognized the people outside the room as his colleagues and asked them a set of questions while his left hand hovered over the Glock strapped around his waist.

The two of them were not in their intended positions and even held a hooded figure within their arms.

"We managed to capture this hooded figure as she tried to escape from our Hawk-team, Sarutobi....."

"From the information we have, her name is Mei of the Saltzman family, we were told not to engage with the Saltzman family so we didn't kill her, maybe we can use her to get some benefit from the Saltzman family...?"

"Maybe she can tell us where the others are hiding!? Bring her inside, let's see what does boss thing about this matter?...."

"Hmm.....okay come inside!"

ℂ𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕜! (Creak!)

Sarutobi motioned them to enter the control room as the two of them ruthlessly pulled the seemingly unconscious hooded figure within the room.

The four of them headed towards their leader, wanting to know the best course of actions from here on now.

"Uh....boss! We have managed to capture Erik Saltzman's Caretaker, maybe she can lead us to the others!?....."

Sarutobi immediately informed the squad leader about the situation, patiently waiting for further orders.

"Huh? Let me see her...."

The squad leader was obviously attracted by the information his subordinate just provided him with.

'Mei Saltzman of the Saltzman family, we can probably get a lot of benefits if we are able to successfully negotiate with the Saltzman empire...'

"Keep trying to get the visual back online! I want it to be done as soon as possible!..."

"Don't worry sir, we will be online very soon!....."

Saying so he immediately turned around and moved towards his other subordinates.

"So this is Mei Saltzman? Remove her cloak!...."

Following the orders were given by their squad-leader, Minato and Orochimaru immediately took out their tactical combat knives and torn her out of the cloak she wore.

"Huh...?"

The squad leader had a frown on his face as he looked at the individual in front of him, Mei Saltzman wore a black coloured bodysuit while a faceless mask covered her face, the only thing visible was her purplish hair.

He took a few steps forward with his right palm outstretched, wanting to remove the face off her face. He soon reached forward, entering close within Mei's personal space while his fingers were only a few centimetres away from the mask.

But before his hands could touch the surface of Mei's mask, Orochimaru immediately stabbed at the squad leader neck.

"Wha—"

Being as skilled as he was, the squad leader knew that he was too close to avoid the attack thus he managed to raise his left hand in front of his neck, aligned with the trajectory of the knife.

𝕂𝕨𝕒𝕜! (Kwak!)

The blade pierced his palm, it tore through the gloves than the squad leader was wearing and went through the palm, the squad leader flinched due to the pain he felt as his left palm was pierced through with a tactical knife.

Unfortunately, even after doing so! The force behind the knife thrust was greater than he imagined, it continued to move towards his neck. The power behind the attack was mostly gone yet it was enough for a tactical knife to end his life if it should connect.

"Squad leader!..."

Sarutobi was quick to react, he immediately pulled the head of his squad leader who just managed to evade the death due to his subordinate's help.

Minato who was standing on the opposite side of the seemingly unconscious woman suddenly raised his Glock and immediately shot four shots towards the individuals working on the regaining control over the camera.

Blood splattered all over the control console as the individuals responsible for using the surveillance camera to attacker's advantage were all killed in a flash!

"Damn it!..."

ℙ𝕜𝕜𝕜! (Pkkk!)

Sarutobi let out an angry roar as he immediately pulled out his gun and shot Minato in the head, ending the latter's life at the point-blank range.

Blood burst out of Minato's head as it splattered all around the room, Orochimaru immediately moved his Glock towards the squad leader and pulled the trigger, wanting to get rid of him sooner before fighting the other individuals.

The squad leader dodged the incoming bullets at the very last second. Unfortunately for Sarutobi, since the squad leader got out of the way, the bullet-headed towards his forehead, he couldn't tilt his head to avoid the bullet and got hit in the forehead.

His brain had a literal hole as his dead-body fell backwards from the impact, the squad leader knowing that these two had betrayed him, raised his own Glock towards Orochimaru.

ℙ𝕜𝕜𝕜! (Pkkk!)

Just like Minato, Orochimaru also had a bullet put into his head and he fell backwards, feeling life leaving his body to lose its warmth and die here.

The squad leader tried to move his gun towards the woman who had suddenly regained her conscious, he wanted to capture her as a hostage and use her to his own advantage yet a usually powerful leg sweep hit his diaphragm, making his grasp and let go of the Glock within his hand.

He flew backwards and crashed into the command console, breaking stuff along with the crash.

"Ahh....!"

He groans painfully as he adjusts his position and opens his eyes!

ℙ𝕜𝕜𝕜! (Pkkk!)

A throwing knife lodged deep into his forehead, effectively ending his life.

Mei had used her [Outer-Systematic Magic] to program a few pre-loaded actions within Minato and Orochimaru who would effectively kill their allies once given the chance.

Using her powerful magic, she effectively manipulated the two powerful individuals into killing their own squad even though they too died in the process.

After being remade by Erik, her combat abilities have increased by leaps and bounds, especially her empowered physique considering that she was a puppet made using Erik's [Terpsichora ability].

The ability to create puppets also made the said puppet extremely durable and considerably stronger than a normal human.

Making sure that no one else was alive, Mei moves towards the command console and connects to the speaker within the storage room.

"The control room is under control..."

(Meanwhile)

"It's time Katsuto..."

"Indeed, Erik... lets us go and deal with the problem once and for all....."

"Why not? Lead the way!..."

"Be careful Erik!....."

"I will, Mari..."

"Please come back alive!..."

"I fully intend on doing so, Mayumi...."

"Daichi is Juumonji, try to avoid his attacks!..."

"I will remember than Naotsugu-san...."

Erik and Katsuto, both of them exited the storage room and headed towards the opera room. Katsuto had a feeling that Daichi would be camping in there whereas Erik already knew that opera was a good place of sneak attacks.

'Let's see how this goes...'
