Unexpected, unwanted visitors

Seth awoke to the sound of loud, organized walking, the sun in the sky, and the droning noise of building which caused his expression to immediately sour as he picked up his gun and put on some clothing. He knew exactly what this was.

He walked up to the door and opened it to the sound of a loud, synchronized, booming voice. "Welcome the master of the Malus family. Salute!" A loud, booming voice announced the arrival of the family head while bodyguards and maids bowed, clearing a way to the door while a man of average height with a young look, black hair and a muscular body dressed in a white suit got out of a limousine parked there.

But Seth did not bow down. He wouldn't bow down. Not to the kings, not to god, and most certainly not the man in front of him. What he did instead was grab his gun and point his gun at the man in front of him, who proceeded to do the same. "Did you miss me, you traitorous old man?" Seth asked with a massive grin and an insane look in his eyes. "You wanna feel what it's like to have a bullet between your eyes?"

"Seth..." The old man responded with a sigh. "Put the gun down. We both know guns don't affect the two of us." He tried to reason.

"Guns don't affect the two of us, but can you say the same about the whores behind you?" He asked while his gun moved to point at another person.

[Hydra fear lv.1 automatically activated.]

A wave of mana crashed into everything in a 10 meter radius, sending terror through the people's bodies. The bodyguards and maids wished they could move, but they couldn't. Not unless they were ordered.

The old man countered with his own hydra fear, leaving the two locked in a staring contest for around 30 seconds, causing some of the maids and bodyguards to nearly pass out before they retracted their hydra fear. They both knew the risk of murder, since one of them would hunt down the other to the ends of the earth if the people on their side were hurt.

Seth then proceeded to holster his gun and walk in, before the old man and women followed him in, while the guards and maids entered last, leaving a few others to guard the door.

Seth then took a seat at one of the tables and let his beasts free while the old man sat after him, the concubines left to stand behind him while he looked at Seth. "I see you took your mother's last name after you left."

"That I did. That I did." He said. "Why are you here, father?" He asked now that he was back to his senses.

"Come back home. We can provide a better environment for your growth." He spoke calmly. "And-"

"Pause." Seth said. "Can anyone here cast sound magic?" He asked to which three maids raised their hands. "Good good. Gods! I can't just provide entertainment for free. So you've gotta give me payment for it. Once every 10 minutes."

[The insect of storms laughs loudly at your wits, telling you to go on.]

[The harem king smiles and tells you you're good.]

[The mountain king boos you, calling you greedy.]

Seth shrugged as he set 10 minute timers on his phone. "Let's continue our talk."

"I'll pay in the gods' stead." He said. "Through skill books and anything else. That's how you want it to go, right?" He spoke, knowing Seth wouldn't even listen unless he was paid. And he knew this thanks to one of the people that worked for him possessing a divination ability.

"Hm. I don't see why you would do it, but sure." Seth said as the old man nodded his head, signaling for a bodyguard.

The bodyguard put a skill book down before walking away from the table.

"As I was saying. A proper environment for growth, and your mother and sister's protection..." The old man said before his words trailed off while shivers coursed through his body.

"You know exactly why I'm not gonna give you that information." Seth said with a glare.

"September 7, 2016. You nearly busted Maki's head open with a fire axe." He declared out of nowhere. "You heard she and two others planned to poison your mother." He continued.

"And they did try it. Except I shot one in the leg after one of the taste testers nearly died." Seth said before smiling at a tall woman with blue hair. "And surprisingly, there were no more assassination attempts. How's your leg, Dahlia?" He asked her. He was smiling but his eyes had a mean glare to them.

"January 18, 2017. You shot 4 men in their homes, and ran over a man with a motorcycle." He said. "I had to cover for you when you did that. The least you can do is repay me by coming back." He said.

"I killed 5 people who raped my sister and took turns do it, and I have no regrets about it." He said. "Now riddle me this, old man. How could it have been prevented, and what was the main reason it happened?" Seth asked.

He sighed, unable to respond to his son's questions. He was always an overbearing person, but the one person he couldn't control was his eldest son. Seth always had a soft spot in his heart, but he knew deep down he was unhinged, which was shown when he'd been called by the school his kids went to, informing him his son had broken another kid's nose, and broken another's arm, and fractured a different child's leg.

When he confronted him about it, he said it was because they were bullying his sister, and he looked like he had no remorse about it. They hadn't always been rich, having lived a life where they struggled to scrape by every month, but would live through it, even if they had to starve at times. But they lived peacefully, surrounded by a warm community of fellow bottom feeders.

But it all changed when he discovered who his grandparents were, thanks to a strange man in a completely black outfit. But then he found out he had a fiancée, and his relationship with his family only went downhill.

"No answer? Alrighty then, I'll answer you myself. For the first question: It could have been prevented by not marrying her to a man who had a reputation of being a womanizer and being a part of a gang." He spoke. "And the second question's answer sits right in front of me: Victor fucking Malus, who got her in an arranged marriage. Did it feel good to give up on the woman who's been with you through your highs and lows for some new women? Hm?"

Victor didn't- COULDN'T respond. Both because he had no response and because he couldn't risk making his son even angrier.

"And you have the fucking AUDACITY to visit me, telling me to come back after exiling me because you decided two little shits a whore brought with her were more credible than me, your own blood and flesh that you raised for 19 years at the time, but now you come back once you think I've gained some power, you bastard." He said, causing his voice to crack as he slammed his fist into the table, breaking it into pieces. "How are they? Your third bitch's pup twins?"

"Don't ta-" One of the women behind him spoke up, before a loud sound of gunfire rang through the room, alongside the noise of metal hitting metal.

"One more word and I'm removing your kids from the inheritance line." He said as he opened his palm, several bullets falling out of it. "As for your question, they've been well. Scum, but they've been well." He calmly answered.

"Who would've thought, huh? Who would've thought?" He asked sarcastically. "Two lying little criminal shits who were scum before are still scum." He spoke before laughing.

"Beep!" A noise was heard from Seth's pocket. It was the alarm.

"Payment." He simply said while staring at him.

He complied, handing him a crystal that he proceeded to pocket. "Give me time to think about it." He said while standing up. "Want some food? You'll still have to pay for every ten minutes, the food and the things behind you will have to pay for their own food." He didn't even consider the concubines as creatures.

Victor sighed at his unreasonable son. "Fine, I'll take some food. Whatever you recommend." He said. "How have your wife and kid been?"

"I dunno. Ask them yourself." He said while heading into the kitchen to make some food, and exactly an hour later, Seth walked out with a few plates of food, and saw exactly six items placed on the table. "Thank you for your patronage. Enjoy your meal." He said as he set the floating plates onto the table, sitting behind the counter.

Victor ate the food and left, followed by the women and guards, leaving Seth thinking about what happened. He was almost certain his father was stronger than he was.

He then checked his phone for the offers he received in exchange for the angel corpse, picking only the ones that interested him, those being: A collection of skill books, a heart contained in a barrier, and a contained malicious soul.

He decided on meeting dates with the three people, each one at a different date. He then picked up the egg he got from the elves, curiously looking at it.

He then shrugged and walked back to his bedroom, setting it on a nightstand. "You heard all of that, haven't you, Yulia?" He asked his wife as he leaned down to her face.

"Mhm. Good morning, by the way." She said as she pulled him into a hug.

"Good morning. Let's go get breakfast." He responded. No use worrying about what would happen later.
