Chapter 1

"Borsalino!"

The Navy Soldier stared at the long list, scratching his brown hair. Sitting in a metal chair, he squinted at the list, before calling out once more, his brown mustache flapping as he spoke. The tall lanky man standing before him flinched for a second, before straightening himself.

"Hey! You're Borsalino, right?"

'Huh? Borsalino? Isn't that the name of that admiral from One Piece!? Kizaru!?'

'And the guy in front of me looks like a marine soldier….'

Squinting, the tall man slouched over a little, staring into the eyes of the Navy Soldier. The soldier stared back at him in irritation.

Thinking about things for a moment, "Borsalino" suddenly stopped, his head jerking up in surprise. He'd read so many fanfictions in his life….. So this must be…. Transmigration? Just the thought of it made him scratch his head.

Shaking the feeling of wonderment off, his attention returned to the Marine soldier.

"Yes~ Yes~ The name is~ Borsalino~"

He felt himself utter a few words, and he was already pissed off. This slow sarcastic drawl….. It was so irritating….

"Huh…?" The Navy-Marine adjusted his white cap, shifting a little in discomfort. At first, when he saw this tall frame, he'd thought that this would be a good seedling…. But why was this…. Borsalino speaking like that? Why was he so dazed? Shaking his head regretfully, the Marine spoke in a more gentle tone this time:

"Borsalino. Yes, yes. I'll need to register all your information first, go ahead and introduce yourself."

"Don't hurry yourself. The most important thing is that the information is accurate, don't want any future mishaps. Not to mention, you are the last applicant of the day, so take your time."

Staring down at the man before him, "Borsalino" was a little irked. This guy…. It was like he was talking to a dumb child. The lanky man wanted to complain but then decided against it. He had indeed acted like quite the idiot beforehand….

"Hel~ Ack. Sorry."

Borsalino coughed a bit, adjusting to a more understandable drawl.

"Hi. I'm Borsa~ Borsalino. From the North Blue, 26 years old at the moment. I've eaten the… Whatchamacallit. The… Ugh. Pika Pika No Mi. Glint-Glint Fruit."

The Navy-Marine nodded, looking down the list in quite a bit of boredom.

"Okay… So, you are Borsalino. From the North Blue. 26 years of age, and you've eaten the Glint-Glint Fruit. Everything seems nor- Wait...."

"What!? You've eaten the Devil Fruit? What the f-"

As he recited, the brown-haired Marine suddenly widened his eyes and stared up at Borsalino in shock.

"W-what did you j- just say…..?"

"Oh~ Apologies~ I was the one who ate the~ Glint-Glint~ Fruit~"

The awkward and sarcastic tone made the Navy Soldier's head tingle a bit, but he continued on:

"Are you really sure?"

Worried that this….. Problematic child did not know the seriousness of things, the Navy Soldier began to specifically emphasize a few things:

"I will fill in the information as you have said it, but be warned, if it is found that you are saying fictitious information, then you will lose eligibility to join the Navy for five years!"

Facing the nervousness and uncertainty of this friendly Navy-Marine, Borsalino figured that he'd help "enlighten" this poor man a little. Give him some insight. He wasn't one to lie after all. Shrugging helplessly, the lanky man snapped his fingers.

"Let there be light!" Raising his hands into the air, Borsalino snapped his fingers.

*Shing!!!!!*

Suddenly, a fierce ray of light pierced through the room, illuminating everything in bright yellow as the Marine gaped, closing his eyes out of reflex. As the bright glare passed, the Navy-Soldier got out of his chair, beckoning for Borsalino to stay still.

Rushing away, the Marine rushed to look for Colonol Malvin, the man in charge of the Navy Base. As the white-clothed man disappeared into the distance, Borsalino huffed, trying to sort out his current situation.

What had happened?

He seemed to have "transmigrated" to the world of One Piece, where he now took resident in a certain Yellow Monkey.

Where was he?

One of the North Blue's many Navy Branches.

What was the current date?

It semeed that Borsalino had just joined the Navy. He was 26 years old, which meant that it was almost thirty years before canon began.

Simply put, there was enough time for him to build up himself, before the main storyline began. As he knew that when it began, things would get quite….. Hectic.

As of now, his body was completely under his control, though there was some influence that hung on from the old Borsalino. Thinking about it, Borsalino laughed a little. This whole situation…. Really was pretty favorable.

There was something about this that annoyed him though…. His appearance. While he wasn't usually a person who cared much about how he looked….. This, was different. In the future, he would genuinely look like a wretched wrinkle-covered monkey. Actually, at the moment, he could already feel some lines upon his forehead…. How much stress did this guy have?

It was really a conundrum.

As Borsalino paced about, his tall frame bumping about, suddenly, the side door opened, and an intimidating figure walked inside dramatically. He was a burly man with scars trailing donw the sides of his arms, and willowy blonde hair. He had piercing blue eyes and a blue scarf around his neck, along with the rest of the classic Navy Uniform.

Borsalino smiled wide, reaching his hand out to wave before suddenly-

"Tobu Shigan: Flying Finger Gun!"

*Fwoosh!*

The Colonol flicked his finger dramatically, pointing at Borsalino as a blast of air shot forth.

Of course, air couldn't travel as fast as Borsalino. He could manipulate light after all.

*Twoom!*

Clapping his hands together, he emitted a bright glow as he faded into light, the "bullet" blasting into the opposite wall, piercing it.

*Thump!*

Borsalino rematerialized, patting off some non-existent dust from his body, before suddenly, the Colonel arrived before him, slamming the monkey into the side of the table.

Looking at the tall blonde figure, Borsalino couldn't help but smirk.

"Wow~ How scary~"
