Chapter Fourteen

Peggy sat on the bed with Callie straddling her as they made out in an on-call room with Mark behind Callie. Just as Mark was about to continue in his part there is a knock on the door, "Dr Sloan!"

At Bailey's voice, Callie freezes pulling away from Peggy, "Is that Dr Bailey?"

Marks shushes her before moving and poking just his head out of the door, "Dr Bailey. Dr Bailey's baby."

Peggy moves to put her hand over Callie's mouth as she moves her lips against her neck, licking a stripe up her neck the resident moans into her hand. "It appears nurse Tanya is no longer available for your liposuction at 10:00. Shall I cancel the procedure?"

"Get me another nurse. Get me kate. Yeah." He then comes back into the room and grabs Callies hips making them laugh.

Another knock immediately happens at the door, "Dr Torres, Dr Sloan would like to use nurse kate this morning. Currently, she's scheduled for your arthroplasty, but if you're willing to move it back an hour, perhaps she could do both." Callie hits Mark at the fact that the woman was still at the door, "Dr Torres, I know you're in there."

Callie jumps up and opens the door, "Yeah, fine. Just an hour later, an hour earlier. Whatever." As she talks to the woman Peggy grabs Mark's face and pulls his lips onto hers. "Hey, tuck. Don't judge me, Bailey."

As Callie runs back over to the two the door is knocked on one more time, "Dr Gallagher!" Peggy winces pulling away from Mark, "You have rounds in five minutes go find your resident!"

They listen to her footsteps walk away before Callie throws her clothes at her, "You heard the woman fun times over Peggy."

Mark leans down to kiss her one more time before rolling off of her reaching for his shirt, "We gotta go to Callie."

Putting her clothes on Peggy moves out of the door, "I'll see you two later."

Peggy now stood next to Lexie and Alex as Dr Hahn spoke to them, "Who would like to present?"

Everyone throws their hands up except Christina who leaned against the wall as if she was bored, "Uh, Kyra marshall, history of end-stage cardiomyopathy and C. O. P. D., Now awaiting a heart transplant, but her antibody levels were so elevated, she was in danger of rejecting any donor's heart."

The attending nods, "So how did we counteract that?"

Everyone's hands go back up and she points at Lexie, "We've been giving her high levels of chemotherapy to suppress her immune system."

"And what precautions have we taken to make sure that she is not exposed to infection?" They throw their hands back up but the woman looks at Christina, "Yang, am I boring you? Because if you'd rather spend the day in the morgue, I have about 50 cadaver hearts that need to be harvested for my research." She yells at the woman who finally leaned off of the wall, "So Kyra marshall's protocols..."

Christina then puts her hand up interrupting the woman, "I would love to go to the morgue. Thank you."

She then walks away leaving a concerned Peggy to stare after her, "Let Yang be an example to all of you. There is no shame in grunt work. Now let's meet our mom in a plastic bubble."

They all walk into the room where the woman sat on the bed yelling at her husband, "Get me outta here, Lucas! I need to get outta here! Get them to let me outta here."

"Honey, calm down." The man tries to talk to his wife but she didn't listen.

The woman looks over at Hahn crying, "You said I'd have a heart in three weeks, and it's been eight. It has been eight weeks without touching another human being..." The cries start to muffle her words making it hard to be able to understand her.

Hahn tries to talk to her, "Kyra, listen to me." The woman shakes her head, "Kyra, you need to listen to me."

She starts to yell at the doctor, "I want to leave. I want to hug my kids, and I want to kiss my husband. And I w ... god, I'm going crazy in here."

The cardio surgeon walks over and puts her hand into the glove to grab the woman's hand, "Kyra, come here. Kyra, take my hand. No. Kyra, take my hand." She puts the oxygen mask over her face and grabs Hahn's hand, "You are gonna leave here soon. That is what I came to tell you. We have a heart for you. We have heart."

Peggy and Lexie stood behind Christina who was just standing over a cadaver with a scalpel in her hand. Lexie moves closer to her, "Dr Yang, are you okay? I mean, I-I just wanted to check because you passed up a really awesome transplant case with Dr Hahn, and I...is this about the thing with. with Dr Burke? I-I know that y-you two were together and..."

She just stands there in silence before suddenly Christina starts to sing, "I made it through the wilderness." Peggy and Lexie look at each other wide-eyed, "Somehow I made it through didn't know how lost I was until I found you I was beat incomplete..."

Peggy moves to stand on Christina's other side, "What do you want us to do?"

She was ignored as the woman continues singing cutting into the cadaver, "I'd been had, I was sad and blue but you made me feel Yeah, you made me feel shiny and new like a virgin..." Suddenly Lexie joins in to the singing making Peggy look at her shocked.

"Hey touched for the very first time like a vir..." Christina stops what she's doing and turns to the girl who immediately stops. "We'll just go upstairs and go charting." The two interns move out of the room and head upstairs.

Peggy and Lexie walked through the cafeteria when George stops them. "Peggy! Lexie! I need you two to fill out a form."
