Christian didn't know that he had been suspected by the FBI because of his teammate Mr. Westwood. After all, he was working on the post-production of "Wrong Turn", at the time.

Interestingly, post-production for this low-budget horror film posed very few challenges. Special effects, like plasma, were added on set, eliminating the need for extensive processing. Mutant monster makeup was also handled on-site, minimizing post-production work.

Christian's current focus revolved around the soundtrack and opening and closing credits. However, one inquiry arose:

"How did you capture these shots? I distinctly remember these shots looking different"

The seasoned director inquired, observing Charlize on screen.

"Maybe it's because I shot these clips several times from different angles" Christian's answer was somewhat casual.

"Perhaps," the assistant director conceded.

"But when did you synthesize these shots? Our post-production work has just begun?"

"I managed it during the shooting," Christian replied calmly, all the while concealing her secret.

'I can't reveal that the Charlize you see on screen is Alexis'

At the time, to shoot this segment, Christian had specially manipulated the camera, causing a prolonged dispute with Addison Young upon discovery.

"What? You have been thinking about this since then?

Richard didn't know what Christian was thinking. He stroked the thick red beard before continuing.

"Your little trick may boost box office earnings, but the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences veterans won't appreciate it."

"So what?" Christian looked indifferent.

Christian retorted, "I didn't aim for an Oscar with this film."

Unlike directors, whose work continues in post-production and editing after filming, actors wrap up their tasks once filming concludes.

"But I do miss my time as the leading lady, even if it was brief," Charlize mused while gazing at her reflection.

Today, she slept in for a while.

She had just woken up and was reading a message from Alexis in the mirror:

"Trust me, you'll land your next role soon"

The blonde girl in the mirror suddenly said to her.

"Alexis, you scared me"

Charlize patted his chest as if comforting his beating heart, "You scared me! Remember our agreement? Don't pop up like that."

"I'm sorry, I forgot," Alexis said, sticking out her tongue.

"Speaking of which, didn't you have a good chat with that Jodie Foster? Do you think she'll open doors for you?""

"This is hard to say." Charlize pondered,

"I'm just a minor character; she might not even remember our chat."

"Don't be so pessimistic"

Alexis was preparing to comfort Charlize, but suddenly heard a knock on the door outside, so the girl in the mirror fell silent and once again returned to an image that was the same as Charlize.

"If someone else sees this look, they will think I'm crazy."

Charlize wiped her face again and put on an extra-long T-shirt that could touch her knees before she came to the door to open the door.

"FBI!?"

Through the peephole on the door, Charlize saw an unexpected badge.

'Do you want me to take out my gun?'

Charlize was hesitating, but the person outside talked:

"Is Miss Charlize Theron here? I'm FBI agent Kate Todd. I have some questions about Alan McElroy."

It doesn't seem to be dangerous.

Charlize finally opened the door.

"So, because the body of former director Alan was found yesterday, you want to ask what the people in our crew were doing at the time, right?"

Charlize understood the agent's intent, realizing she sought an alibi.

Charlize, who has watched many detective episodes, immediately understood the other party's intentions, but she had nothing to hide, so she answered truthfully:

"In the morning, our crew was filming, and in the afternoon, we held a simple wrap party," Charlize began. "As for the evening, I was with Director Christian—"

Seeing the other person's "I understand" look, Charlize smiled mischievously before continuing.

"Also with the assistant director Richard Arsenal, that is, Richard Arsenal, and the photographer Addison Young"

Seeing Kate's widened eyes, Charlize hurriedly continued

"And Judy Foster and her assistant. We are watching a sample of "Wrong Turn" that had just been filmed."

"..."

'Return my admiration, shock, and sympathy' Kate felt a little depressed.

What made her even more depressed was that if Charlize's words were true, it meant that everyone in charge of the crew had a sufficient alibi.

'Does this clue have to be broken too?'

Thinking back to the scene when she visited the producer Westwood before, Kate felt that she couldn't just give up like that.

"Speaking of which, do you know former director Alan?"

Charlize was taken aback by this question.

"I have never had any contact with him. For this kind of thing, it would be more appropriate for you to ask Director Christian, Assistant Director Richard, or Mr. Producer."

"Yes?" Kate is noncommittal,

"Speaking of which, can you introduce me to the director Christian? I don't have his contact information."

"This..."

Charlize rolled his eyes and finally refused.

"Sorry, my relationship with the director is not as close as you think. You should ask the producer Mr. Westwood"

Unbeknownst to Kate, Charlize withheld crucial information regarding the mysterious events involving Christian.

With Charlize's assistance, Kate's suspicions surrounding Christian grew, as her hesitation didn't go unnoticed.

Simultaneously, news regarding Alan's case continued to circulate, prompting Producer Westwood to consider establishing a schedule.
