Krystal's POV

"I have a question," George said after we finished another discussion.

Since I could not speak because my mouth was filled with food, I looked at him with a look that told him to continue.

"what if," He hesitantly began.

"what if Fred and I try to help find out who your parents are?"

I choked on the piece of bread I was eating, swallowing it before it left my mouth with the constant coughing that had begun.

George began to pat my back, and after a few coughs, it eventually stopped.

"You wanna help find out who my parents are?" I asked astonished, "I haven't even started thinking about that."

" I mean yeah, I don't think it's fair that you don't know who your parents are because of that dumb orphanage you were staying at." George started, "Fred and I already have an idea."

"so we were thinking-" George's words were cut off as I jumped forward, forgetting any pain I might feel, and hugged him tightly. He became tense as his eyes widened but soon returned the hug.

"Thank you." I softly whispered, my voice muffled by his shirt.

We hugged for a few minutes, it wasn't awkward or anything.

"Ummmm-" George started, "you fall asleep?"

"No," I said, my voice twisted with effort. "I can't move." I finished barely able to breathe from the pressure on my wound.

"oh."

George chuckled as he helped me sit in the same position as before.

I smiled back at him, "you were saying." I told him to continue after my unexpected interruption.

George opened his mouth to speak when the door opened and in walked an exhausted-looking Fred covered in dirt, breathing heavily.

"Are you okay?" I asked holding back laughter that threatened to erupt like a volcano. George, however, had already started laughing.

"Fit as a fiddle." He tiredly held out his hand with an ok sign in reply to the question.

"Those bloody gnomes never stay still," Fred said, glaring at George, who was laughing at his plight.

"Anyway That's not important," Fred said sheepishly, smiling at me, "did you ask her yet?" Fred turned his attention back to George with excitement in his eyes.

"I was just getting to it."

"Go on," Fred replied, waiting for George to continue.

I sat there, curious as to what they came up with, while George began to explain.

"So you know how you said that your mom left you a note with a necklace."

"Yeah."

And that was all it took for me to see where they were going with it.

"I already tried."

"You did?" George asked.

"Yes, it's not a locket." I said hopelessly, "There is a line that goes through the side, but I can't open it."

"But this time, you've got an advantage." A mischievous smile spread across Fred's face, which caused me to look at him confused.

George excitedly exclaimed, "Magic!" drawing my attention like a moth to a glowing flame.

"you think I need magic to open it?" I wondered as I pulled the necklace from under my old shirt looking at it. When I did this I realized I had to change, that I stink, and that I'm probably not looking good right now.

George and Fred examined the necklace I held and watched as I removed it from around my neck.

"We think that if you have magic," Fred started, "maybe your parents did too." George finished.

"Assuming they did have magic," I began, "how would we know what magic they used to seal or lock it or whatever?"

"That is where the reading comes in," George said.

"Yeah, we'll go through some of the books we have here at home." Fred continued, "And if we don't find anything,"

"We can go through the school library when we get to Hogwarts." George finished Fred's sentence again, It seemed to come naturally to them, which makes sense. I thought it was really cool.

There were twins at the orphanage, but they weren't as close, they seemed to hate one another, but it was because Amelia bullied them for being identical, which made no sense, but now that I think about it, nothing that Amelia does makes sense.

"That sounds good," I said in response to their idea. I thought about how this would work, and the fact that I am completely clueless when it came to magic. I also forgot that I was supposed to go to Hogwarts, and where I was gonna go after I felt better.

"But for now," Fred got my attention.

"You should get some rest." They said at the same time as George got up from his chair.

"And if you need anything," George began, "ring the bell," they said at the same time, then, they both turned to leave the room.

I turned my attention to the side table and saw a small golden bell standing.

After about five minutes, I was already sick of lying down, and I was having a small...problem.

Do I ring the bell?

No.

I can get up myself.

I'll find the bathroom, it shouldn't be too hard.

Here goes nothing.

I slowly got up handling the throbbing, aching discomfort in my stomach as much as I could. I grunted in pain as I stood up feeling "pins and needles" in my feet and stabbing pain in my stomach. With each step I took, my breath became shorter and heavier.

I made my way to the door, I was basically dragging myself at this point, and slowly opened the door, and that's when cold water and some ice spilled over my head. I let out a small scream, surprised, as some ice began to slide down my back.

It wasn't long after, I hear footsteps rushing up the stairs. It was Fred, George and their mom and two other kids who looked younger.

First Fred turned his head and looked my way, his eyes widened and his face went pale as the rest of them followed.

"Fred! George!" Their mom yelled, anger evident in her voice, knowing this was their doing, "I'll deal with you two later!"

She quickly walked towards me, after she grabbed a blanket, and wrapped it around me, "what are you doing out of bed dear?"

My cheeks heated up in embarrassment even though my body was frozen, and my voice came out barely a whisper through my chattering teeth, "I needed the bathroom."
