Master Saya!

With no more dungeons available, Link started to buy Beast Cores as a way to improve without the dungeons. "I'll focus on my leveling some other time. I have to make some sort of progress at least until I return to the Academy" Link muttered to himself before consuming the fourth Level 4 core he had.

<Even if you do return to that academy, you won't be able to progress fast enough>

"What should i do then?" Link asked, sitting on his bed.

<Maybe we can put Recollection to some good use>

"What do you mean?"

<Let's try traveling around using it, since we've been to a lot of places, it won't be a problem>

"What about the Mana required?"

<It won't be a problem. Since you maxed out its level, it does not require much. Plus with your recent progress and your massive Mana pool we won't be effected as much… We might have some issues but with Mana potions and enough supplies, we'll manage>

"It's a good idea, let's try it" Link continued "But if anything happens, i'll just stick to the academy"

The first place Link thought about was back in his old village, and it did not take long for a message to appear, asking for confirmation.

<Mana Required: 1 300 489>

<Teleport? Yes / No>

Without hesitation, Link confirmed and the same nauseating feeling washed over him. Although by this point he was used to it and quickly recovered. "We're here!" Link muttered, looking around with a number of emotions.

Wosh!

It did not take long for Link to appear and get himself together for a sword to come swinging his way. It was a sudden attack but Link saw it coming a while ago, as with his Psight he saw a figure rush at him the moment he appeared.

With a swift but powerful swing. Link blocked and shattered the sword using his dagger, then without hesitating, Link Blinked and threw a kick towards his aggressor, sending the figure flying towards an already broken building, destroying what was left standing.

Wosh! Wosh! Wosh!

Suddenly, figures appeared out of nowhere, surrounding Link in a circle as they released aggressive Mana and killing intent. In retaliation, Link used all the skills he needed. From stealth, speed, area and attack spells to summoning his armor. The place turned into a battleground in a second as all the AOE skills roared and attacked everybody, injuring some as they retreated.

<Should we escape?>

"No!" Link responded instantly "They might have some connection to the incident that happened here. Even if they don't, they're gonna have to explain what they're doing"

Link moved his foot back to stabilize himself as he charged and activated Heavy Strike. "Use 1 000 000 MP!!"

The air changed, becoming heavy as the ground shook. Mana screeched as Link's dagger took a deathly red color.

"Retreat!" A voice spoke from somewhere, ordering the figures. Without hesitating they listened and started running.

"None of you will be going anywhere!" Link muttered as the ground underneath his foot cracked, forming a 50 meter wide spiderweb of cracks.

Link swung his dagger widely, trying to affect as much of the figures as he could. Suddenly, a man appeared wearing golden armor with golden wings on his back. A giant shield with the head of a lion bearing its teeth at the front as its eyes shone. "KING'S MIGHT" The man yelled.

BOOM!

Rocks, trees, rubble and anything that previously existed in the area was all turned into nothing. A wave of death washed over the place, marking it.

The man stood his ground, as the shield kept shining and taking the full force of the attack.

ARGH!

The man roared to the sky as everything finally settled. Smoke rose from the giant shield with intensity. The man stepped out from behind it and looked at Link with a blank expression.

"Identify yourself! Why are you attacking us?!" The man asked.

"Attacking you?" Link frowned "Are you blind old man?"

The man heard what Link said and took a deep breath. "You appeared in a chaos site out of nowhere, my man's reaction is justified"

"So were my actions" Link responded "I came to visit my village and some unidentified figure attacked me, where many of my friends and neighbors met their end. I think you should be the ones identifying yourselves"

"Who do you think you're talking to!" Another man appeared from the side, looking at Link with anger. "We are th.."

"Shut the fuck up!!" Link yelled, cutting the man off "I don't care who you people are, i will not repeat my question, identify yourselves or none of you will be leaving this place alive" Mana started forming on Link's dagger, signaling that he was about to attack again. "You seemed to have some difficulty blocking my strike, how about I double it? Or triple it?" Link looked at the man with the lion shield.

"Lets all calm down!" A woman appeared from thin air, standing between Link and the lion shield welding man.

Upon laying his eyes on who the woman was, Link instantly canceled his skill and unsummoned his armor and weapon.

"Professor?!"

The woman that stood before him was Saya, the woman that gave Samuel and himself the chance to join the Military Academy.

"Hey there Link" She said with a gentle smile, waving towards him.

"You know the kid?" The man with the shield spoke. Befitting his equipment, the man's name was Leo. He looked around 6 foot 5 with long black hair and muscles for days.

"Yes" Saya spoke, looking towards him "He's a student in the academy, scouted by none other than myself"

Hearing what she said, the atmosphere went silent as Leo and the other man looked in shock. The one that nearly killed all their men and destroyed the area was nothing but a kid?

High Level mages can look younger than their real age, considering the countless spells and potions to make that happen, both Leo and Neal just thought that Link was a high Level mage that used something to make himself look like that.

"Professor, what're you doing here?" Link asked, breaking the silence.

"Investigating of course" Saya answered, the smile never left her face as she looked at Link with fascination. "You grew a lot stronger, I'm surprised" She said.

"I've been working hard" Link responded. He respected and was very grateful towards Saya for what she has done for him and the village back then.

"You grew up too, your looks have greatly improved as well" She said, looking at Link's purple eyes. "Was it due to a martial art or some kind of potion?" She thought to herself, referring to the odd eye color.

Link looked at Leo and Neal and bowed a little, apologizing. He thought that if they were Saya's friends, he owed them at least that much, considering the way he just spoke to them.

"No worries kid" Leo spoke, approaching Link for a handshake. "No one got hurt, so it is fine"

"I got hurt!!" From a distance, a man stood up from some rubble. His head was bleeding and his black armor was covered in dust.

"When we detected the Mana density, my order was to wait a little before attacking, you can only blame yourself, Nick" Said Leo.

"Argh" Nick grunted "Don't think you beat me!" He said, pointing towards Link before walking away.
