Clean Up!

The rest of their journey back was free from any troubles. Link and the rest could finally see the Kingdom with the Dome still covering it. The squad sighed in relief as they approached.

"Identify yourself!" A voice reached Link using some form of Telepathy Spell. Link had to accept the transmission, and so he answered back.

"I'm Link, the Captain of the Alpha team, we've completed our mission!" Link spoke.

The other side went silent for a bit before speaking again. "Welcome back, Sir!"

A small opening appeared on the Dome around the Kingdom's gate. The squad quickly made their way through with Link before it closed behind them.

The team stood obediently, awaiting their Captain's dismissal, which they received quickly. "You all can go rest, and don't forget to write your reports and send them to the headquarters!"

"Yes Sir!" They answered at the same time.

Link spent the next few days with his family. He occasionally went out, but it only took him a couple of hours before he returned everyday. Link had been scouting the Continent, looking for any more Fragments. He managed to find 3 more, adding to his Quest. Although he no longer had any need for the Attunement reward since he acquired it himself after reaching Level 8, he still wished to help Ora. Even without a reward, Link was still consistent, looking through the lands and seas.

Since Ora joined him, she has been very helpful. Link wouldn't ignore her after everything she did for him.

WOSH!

Supersonic booms filled the sky, but some form of Mana managed to cover it before any sound left. Link was 100 times more efficient than before as he relied on Ora to detect the last Fragment. The sea water split open as if Noah was passing through, only this time it was Link passing above it.

His search took a week, but he still couldn't find anything. He passed through all the sea, even reaching the Second Continent and returning over and over again, he swept his Continent and passed through all Kingdoms, but Ora still found nothing.. He swept through all Kingdoms except one. The Inolid Kingdom, which was the name of the Demon infested zone under a certain Evil God's control.

Link couldn't and didn't want to look through it, and he had one reason for it. The Evil God overseeing the area. He was powerful, but he didn't dare challenge a God, especially in its territory.

Although he could not achieve what he set out to do, Link would kill any Demon or Bandit on his way, cleansing the Continent from all hidden cockroaches.

"I guess now all I have left is winning this damn war" Link muttered as he sat on his bed. It was in the middle of the night, but he couldn't sleep. Since reaching his current Level, sleep was no longer a necessity, as his body automatically circled and regenerated Mana by itself, keeping his energy peaked at all times.

"They're still at it!" Link looked at the wall, as if he could see through it, in the direction he was looking at was a man and a woman in dark red robes and animal masks. They seemed to be watching him. "Those robes.. They belong to the Red Rose Guild.. From what I remember they are not particularly a bad Guild. They provided the Kingdom some assistance after the bombing, and they have a decent reputation. I guess i'll leave them be then"

Link kept looking around as he analysed all the Guilds that kept an eye on him. What surprised him was that the Shadow Guild was nowhere to be seen.

"They're at least smart" Link said to himself before continuing his actions. After a couple of minutes, Link found 14 Guilds Agents around. "I'm quite the popular one" He said before vanishing.

That night many Guilds with bad reputations disappeared, including the Shadow Guild. What could they have done? The moment Link appeared inside their base, people would turn into mushes, without the ability to put up any resistance. The Guild Leader and every member were killed with their treasuries emptied before the whole area somehow melted into a lake of magma.

The next day, after the discovery of the annihilations of multiple Guilds sent shivers down the rest's spines, retracting their Agents to prepared for whatever was coming their way, but after a week passing without any incident, and the common point between all the destroyed Guilds, they started to calm down a little, but they stayed on edge.

The war somehow lost its effects, as no scouting squads or groups encountered Demons ever again. This started a small rumor of an Angel finally helping them cleanse the sinners. Why wouldn't they have such thoughts? Especially after the unlawful Guilds being wiped out.

From all the treasures Link got, he provided everything his family needed for their Cultivation, making his sisters and mom's progress skyrocket.

He donated the rest to the Kingdom, which got him an upgrade in his Noble title, in which he did not care about.

With everything taken care of, Link now moved on to the next task on his list. Finding a body that will be able to contain Samuel's soul.

Link would look at his childhood friend's soul whenever he had time. He would talk to him occasionally, as if he could hear him.

Finding a body wasn't difficult, but finding the right one was. Samuel needed a body suitable for him, one that can hold his soul and Mage Level. Link couldn't go around killing innocent people to do so, and the not so innocent ones were either trash or tainted by mutated or corroded Mana.

'What should i do?' Link thought to himself. He couldn't ask for Zero and Ora's help since he wished to keep what happened that day a secret from them. They didn't know what happened for a reason, and Link didn't want to change that until he knew what it was.

'Screw it, i'm sure i"ll find a solution along the way"
