Zhang Liao began to grow irritated with the Goguryeo man who was shouting toward them and in the surprised eyes of Gongsun Gong and the rest of the Goguryeos fright, Zhang Liao used his glaive to strike the man down cutting his head off which stopped him from talking immediately, and when the other Goguryeos woke up from their fright they shouted down words to Zhang Liao and hastily retreat back to their army.

Gongsun Gong was taken aback in surprise by Zhang Liao's sudden action but didn't blame Zhang Liao because he already tried to calm the messenger from Goguryeo down but was ignored, either it's because of ignorance or arrogance he didn't know.

When the group of Gogyryeos returned to their army, they informed their commanding general of what happened, and soon the sound of war drums could be heard from the Goguryeos army.

Zhang Liao and Gongsun Gong have returned back to their Army, and Gao Shun has overseen the Qilin Army and Gongsun Clan Army to enter defensive formation, and begun to wait for the Goguryeos to make any movement.

On Goguryeo's side, even though the war drum was sounded under the main general order, he doesn't dare to order his army to advance knowing the large disparity between their army.

He just wanted to intimidate the opposing army, as he had received an order from his King to not antagonize the Han Army any further, due to the large contrast in the size of their domain and population compared to them.

Now his messenger not only has offended the opposing head general of the Han Army, causing him to be beheaded on the spot. He only hoped that the other army group would arrive as soon as possible after receiving his letter.

Back to Zhang Liao's side, after waiting for around 15 minutes Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, and Gongsun Gong were confused as to why the Goguryeos weren't attacking, even though they had sounded their drum.

Gongsun Gong: "Why haven't they sent their army to attack us yet? General Zhang Liao has slain their messenger and their response is this slow?"

Gao Shun: "I think they are trying to buy more time and this war drum sound just trying to intimidate us to believe they will attack."

Gongsun Gong: "Buy more time? Ah so there's more of them near I see, then should we attack them first or?"

Zhang Liao: "No, we better stand our ground and wait for all of them to gather here. I don't think they would have a much larger army than us in terms of numbers, and Gao Shun I think we should continue building more traps and defensive structure."

Gao Shun nodded his head in agreement with what Zhang Liao had just said, it's much better for them to be on the defensive since they have the numbers and experience against the Goguryeos.

No matter how many will come, the number will not surpass the combined Qilin and Gongsun Clan Army. Even though Gao Shun agrees, he tells Zhang Liao they can't just stay put and suggests doing a hit and run tactic using the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry.

Zhang Liao agrees with Gao Shun's suggestion and says that he will lead the attack personally, and so after doing some preparation Zhang Liao leads the 10,000 Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry under him to attack the Goguryeos.

The Goguryeo Main General saw the movement made by Zhang Liao and ordered his infantry to create a shield formation, while the archers stood behind the infantries and prepared to shoot at his order.

Zhang Liao saw the movement made by the Goguryeo, maybe in the past he would have been more cautious but considering that his cavalry had been upgraded with the inventions Lie Fan had for his cavalry, he was more courageous of course still cautious.

He leads the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry to ride through the front of the Goguryeo's formation and before the Goguryeo can adjust their formation, Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry attack the side of the formation.

The Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry finally showed its presence once again after several battles under Lu Bu in the past during his battle against Cao Cao and Liu Bei couldn't show its true capability due to the type of battle that was done.

With their motto being said all of the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry soldiers 'Hungry, Hungry, Hungry ' under Zhang Liao's lead, punch through the side of the formation with aggressiveness and heavy impact.

The Goguryeos Infantry that was on the receiving end of the first impact didn't end well, some were stamped to their death, some were impaled on the head or torso with a spear, and some were killed due to being struck by a medium armored horses.

Seeing the big hit on the left flank of his formation, the Goguryeo main general ordered his archers to shoot at Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry and ordered his cavalry to follow them while the enemy tried to pass through their formation.

This was somewhat effective for a while, as the speed of Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry slowed down, allowing the Goguryeo Infantries to injure some of the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry riders.

Since they lost some of their momentum, Zhang Liao inserted all of his might where he brutally killed all of the infantries of the Goguryeo that stood against his path, allowing the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry to pry through some of the openings that Zhang Liao created.

Seeing that the enemy was gaining momentum slowly, the Goguryeo main general ordered the entire army to form a shield wall formation, and when the order was being excited suddenly he saw Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry change their direction.

Zhang Liao led the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry to make a U-turn, as he knew that they would be tired of being trapped inside the formation by the Goguryeo, and since they hadn't crossed through half of the formation, it was better to come out from the way they come in.

This caused the Goguryeo main general to frantically order his infantries to try their best to stop the enemy, as he ordered the right flank first to change their formation as the enemy was heading that way, and now suddenly they changed direction causing him to be taken off guard.

Zhang Liao flanked by 4 of his guards at the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry, slashed his Glaive left and right trying to cause as much damage as possible to the Goguryeo and it wasn't long before Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry left the Goguryeo formation.

Catching sight of the enemy cavalry managed to leave first before his trap was completed, the Goguryeo main general heaved a sigh of regret at the slipping opportunity to cripple the enemy cavalry.

While the battle at the border started to heat up, in Taiwan a festive atmosphere shrouded a small town that wasn't there before when Lie Fan's expedition army arrived in Taiwan.

This small town was Taipei, and the people of Taipei were celebrating the naming ceremony of their town. Yang Hong and Yan Jun who have stayed for several years, finally received one of Lie Fan's objectives which was to create a town in Taiwan.

They managed to do so because when Jiang Qin and his fleet returned to Taipei, bringing settlers and more specialists such as crafters, alchemists, and blacksmiths with building materials, both Yang Hong and Yan Jun decided to start the next step of their plan.

Thanks to the arrival of the settlers, common jobs such as farmers, hunters, and laborers were assigned to them, relieving some of the crafters and blacksmiths who were assigned jobs when they first arrived in Taiwan.

Now they can fully focus on their work, increasing efficiency and the security of the town also increases due to the soldiers that were assigned as farmers being called back and assigned patrol duties as their farmer job was assigned to the settlers.

Ling Cao and Li Feng as the commanding generals of the army that was stationed in Taiwan, had also expanded the domain in Taiwan under Lie Fan's control, where they also gathered more of the Tono Tribe under them with Yang Hong and Yan Jun's help.

The Tono tribe has become an essential part of Yang Hong and Yan Jun's plan for Taipei and Taiwan because as natives they have much knowledge about Taiwan's nature and geography, which will be a big help for their settlement progress.

Taipei was the first town and wouldn't be the last, so the integration of the natives has become a priority, especially since Lie Fan ordered it to be done as he didn't want them to face the same situation as in Liang Province.

As the festivities can be seen from all corners of Taipei, Yang Hong, Jiang Qin, Yan Jun, Ling Cao, and Li Feng were hosting Yuan Shu's Family, as they can be said to be the first noble clan of Taipei and even Taiwan right now.

Yang Hong: "Lady Yuan please receive this toast, the Yuan Clan ow can be said to be the first Noble Clan that stepped foot in Taiwan and witnessed the birth of Taipei!"

Lady Yuan: "Thank you Master Yang Hong and the others, even though My husband in the past was the enemy of your lord and all of you, you rescued us and welcomed us."

Yan Jun: " *ahem* Lady Yuan it's all due to General Ji Ling's effort in persuading My Lord to save Lord Yuan Shu's family, and we just acted according to normal courtesy."

Lady Yuan: "What Master Yan Jun said is correct but nevertheless society has condemned us due to the actions of my husband, and now the Yuan Clan branch of my husband there are only 3 young males aged 5 to 9 to continue the clan and all of them weren't from the main line."

Yang Hong: "We are very sad to hear that Lady Yuan, we wouldn't say that what My Lord and Lord Cao Cao have done wasn't a bad thing but it was necessary during the times of war, and now to keep your identity hidden forever, we would like to propose for the Yuan Clan to change their name."

Lady Yuan: "I see, it was a sad thing to do but for the safety of myself and my family then I agree for us to change our daily name, is there any name that both masters would like to propose?"

Yang Hong and Yan Jun both turned their head to look at each other, it was fortunate that they had prepared a name beforehand in case there was a question such as this. Yang Hong told Lady Yuan that the name they proposed was Xie, meaning to thank or apologize to someone, and in this case, the Yuan Clan would like to apologize to the whole land for the suffering they have caused.
