35. Attack on the USJ!

Wednesday came and it was time for the monumental class that would push the students further beyond.

"For today's hero basic training, it's turned into a class with three instructors, All Might and me, and one other person." Aizawa-sensei said.

"Excuse me, but what'll we be doing today?" Sero asked, raising his hand.

Aizawa-sensei pulled out a card that read "RESCUE!" in big blue letters.

"Disasters, shipwrecks and everything in between. It's rescue training."

"Rescue.." Kaminari muttered with an awkward smile, thinking that his quirk had no real use in a rescue situation.

"Looks like it'll be a lot of work this time too." He added.

"Right?" Mina said.

"Idiot, this is the duty of a hero." Kirishima remarked.

"My arms are ready to rumble!"

"No one can beat me in water, ribbit." Tsuyu said.

"Hey, I'm not done." Aizawa-sensei interrupted.

"You can decide whether or not to wear your costume or not this time. Because there are costumes that probably limit your abilities too.

The training will take place off campus, so we're taking a bus. That is all. Get ready."

As we got ready, I put on my costume and checked the equipment.

The big charred patch of coat on my back was still there from the fight with Bakugo.

I sighed.

A new costume ruined on day one.

Soon, we got ready and everyone exited the changing room towards the bus.

Iida guided everyone with a whistle, waving his hands about overenthusiastically.

"Clas 1-A gather round. Form two lines by your student numbers to make boarding the bus go smoothly."

But boarding the bus, a whole different reality hit him. It was a bus with open seating and his efforts were unnecessary.

"Shoot. I didn't think it'd be this kind of a bus. There was no point huh?" Iida said, downcast.

"Don't worry. You did good." I assured, trying to build up a friendship with him.

It would help me if I was present during the Hosu incident, capturing the Hero Killer, given what I plan to do with my quirk.

"That reminds me." I added, "Iida, I had some questions about Hero Culture Art History classes. Can we talk about it later?"

"Yes. Certainly." He replied.

"Ok. Give me your phone. I'll put in my number." I suggested, extending a hand towards him.

"Uh..alright." Iida said, handing me his phone.

Quickly, and quietly, I installed a tracking application in his phone, entered my number and disabled notifications before handing it back to him.

Now, I'll know where he is during the Hosu incident.

With that done, I spent the rest of the trip napping, with purpose of course.

Because when we reached the USJ dome, and I didn't alight from the vehicle, Aizawa came to wake me up.

"Oi! Wake up." He shouted and chopped my head, allowing me to copy his power.

It would be of great use to me today.

Why did I copy it this way, instead of just touching him?

Simple. If I touched him before suddenly disabling the quirks of my opponents, it'd put me instantly in the suspect list of power copiers. And I can't have anyone knowing about my abilities yet.

With that in mind my act began.

"Awawawa!" I cried, jumping up, acting confused.

"Huh?!"

"We're here. Follow me." Aizawa replied, as I nodded.

"Oh okay. Sorry about that. I slept late yesterday." I clarified, laughing awkwardly.

"I don't care. Get off. Now." Aizawa replied coldly.

"Yes. Yes." I answered, stepping off the bus, to see something surprising.

There was anotger bus parked some ways from ours.

From within it, came other students. Ones I knew.

Class 1B.

"Sensei, is this a joint exercise?" I asked.

"Yes. After the incident with Bakugo, we lost one day of classwork, and because of stupid legalese nonsense, now we are going to share our slot with class 1B.

Don't worry. I'm sure it'll be just as productive.

I'll make sure of it." Aizawa assured with a devious smile, creeping the students out.

They still hadn't gotten used to his surprise tests and unreasonable expectations.

This was the first week of classes after all!

"Yo! Class 1A losers! Get ready to be demolished in today's training!" Monoma mocked, "Oh wait, you already got demolished didn't you? By your own classmate! Hyahahahaha- kwakh!"

He was suddenly gut punched by a girl dressed in a Qipao with humungous hands, before being carried away by his classmates.

The girl came up to us, bowing deeply.

"I'm truly sorry about his conduct. He can be rather....volatile." She said, smiling awkwardly, "I hope we can all work together to make the most of this training!"

"How polite." Shoto scoffed, eyes transfixed on the boy, an uncertain expression resting on his face.

Iida rushed to push him aside, and return the courtesy.

"Certainly. We look forward to learning with you." He said, smoothing things over, as the teachers began the roll call.

I looked at All Might, who gave me a smile and a thumbs up, before walking into the dome before us.

"Everyone, I have been waiting for you."

Thirteen said, as we walked to the USJ arena.

"It's the space hero, Thirteen!" Deku said excitedly, "The gentlemanly hero who has rescued tons of people from disasters."

"I love Thirteen!" Uraraka said.

"Thanks. Let's go inside immediately. I look forward to working with you!" She said.

As we entered the dome, I was once again reminded why UA is the best hero school in the country. This huge fucking dome, complete with all sorts of rescue scenarios. Just how much moola do these bastards make to be able to afford this shit? Hell, that one ship in the artifical lake itself costs over a hundred million dollars. It's a fucking cruise ship, after all.

I was not the only one amazed. Everyone was looking around bug-eyed.

"It looks like Universal Studios Japan!"

"A shipwreck, a fire, a landslide, a windstorm. It is a training ground that I made with different sorts of accidents and disasters. It's called the 'Unforeseen Simulation Joint'."

Thirteen explained proudly.

"It really is USJ.." Uraraka said.

"Fine. Shall we begin?" Aizawa-sensei said.

"Let's see. Before we begin, let me say one thing...or two...or three..or four...."

"It's increasing!"

Damn. Make up your mind man.

That aside, I scanned the surroundings, secretly, in preparation for the attack as Thirteen explained.

"Everyone, as I am sure you're aware of my quirk, Black Hole. I can suck up anything and turn it to dust."

"You've been able to use that quirk to save people from all kinds of disasters, right?" Deku asked as Uraraka nodded enthusiastically.

"Yes, but it is a power that can kill easily. Some of you also have quirks like that, right?" Thirteen said, "In a superhuman society, personal quirks have been certified and stringently regulated so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance. However, please do not forget that there are many quirks that can easily kill with one wrong step. With Aizawa's physical fitness test, you found out about the possibility of your own hidden powers, and with All Might's person-to-person combat training, I think you experienced the danger of using your quirks against others. This class is a fresh start. You'll learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You do not have powers so that you can harm others. I hope you can leave here with the understanding that you have powers in order to help others. That is all. Thank you for listening."

All Might clapped as we followed with thunderous applause.

Once it was over, Aizawa-sensei took over from here.

"Alright then. Let's start with.."

Suddenly, the lights started flickering, lightning arced across the high beams supporting the dome and the fountain at the center of the building began to go on and off as a black mist flowed out.

Here we go. The attack's coming. And I am ready.

As soon as Aizawa-sensei noticed it, he ordered.

"Everyone, gather together. Thirteen, guard the students."

He turned around to face the fountain and the villains coming from it.

"What's that?" Kirishima asked, concerned.

"Is this like the entrance exam where the lesson's already started?"

Deku moved forward to get a better look only to be chastised.

"Don't move." Aizawa-sensei said, "Those are villains."

"The trespassing the other day was the work of these scumbags sfter all huh?"

"What? Villains? There's no way villains could get into a hero school." Kirishima said, shaking.

"Teacher, what about the trespasser sensors?" Momo asked.

"We have them but they clearly didn't work." Thirteen said.

"The question is whether they only appeared here or everywhere in the school?" Shoto asked.

Color drained from the student's faces at thought of villains being everywhere, barring all avenues of escape or rescue.

"No. We don't need to worry. We have All Might. No villain can beat him!" Kirishima pointed out.

"No. But he can't be everywhere at once." I soured, pouring oil on their grease fores of fear.

Mwahahahah! Be afraid, and let me exploit yo- I thought as I was interrupted by the appearances of seventy nine books popping into my library, or rather by the one book among them that I did not expect to see.

Nana Shimura!

Holy fucking shit!

That's it! I screamed internally, mad with joy.

The hands!

The dozen or so hands comforting Shigaraki were the source of it. One of those hands had to have belonged to Nana Shimura!

And most importantly, that meant that I may yet get my hands on the fabled quirk, Float!

Immediately, I pulled put her book and checked the last page.

Yup. It was her hand.

The one at the crown of his head, front and center.

Perfect!

Except there was one problem.

One big, muscly, purple problem with a literal and very visible, big brain, standing between me and the dream of any self respecting hot blooded man.

Free flight! Soaring through the skies like a bird, untethered, unbound, free!

And I'll be damned if I let this chance skip me by while I sit around twiddling my thumbs.

Change of plans, I thought.

Can't just run and hide the attack out now. Nope. I have just got to go and get that fucking hand!

I looked around, checking the compositions of the two forces, formulating a new plan of action, assessing their quirks, even as we huddled together, waiting to be picked off in one fell swoop.

Yes! Got it!

This might just work, if I time it right!

I pushed my way through the bundle, towards a darkskinned boy, grabbing him by the shoulders, copying his quirk.

"Kuroiro, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, why?" He answered.

"You can hide in dark places, can't you?

Then can you take other people with you?

Help hide the weaker students in your subspace?" I requested, acting concerned.

"Sorry." Kuroiro replied, downcast, "I can only carry objects and non living things with me. Even then, they can't be too big or heavy."

I patted him on the back, comfortingly and assured.

"Don't worry. It's not your fault." I said, walking back to my class as All Might leaped off the stairs, into the midst of the villains.

"Nomu!" Shigaraki called out, "Take him!"

The purple monster, as if awakening from a deep slumber, shuddered into movement, muscles wriggling and cracking.

He jumped, leaving an indent in the floor, and met All Might in mid air, crashing into the hero, dragging him away.

"Hahahahah! Die hero!" Shigaraki laughed, before turning to the misty man.

"Kurogiri." He ordered, "Split them!"

"As you wish." The lean giant replied disappearing in a cloud of his mist.

"Here we go!" I said, turning around, and copied Rikido's quirk as my third and final copy, as I walked past him, book in hand, this time Kurogiri's.

Figuring out the location of his reappearance, I stuffed a candy into my mouth, stealthily and waited, as a pinhole appeared above us, widening into a portal.

From within, extended two pant legs streaming with black mist, as Kurogiri plopped out, grabbing the nearest students, Momo and Honezuki in this case, as they struggled for dear life.

"Not so fast, bud!" I shouted, as my muscles buffed and One For All coursed through my veins, boosting my power.

Before he or anyone else could react, I was upon him, grabbing his throat in a crushing grip, nailing him to the ground.

"Good job. Hold him right there." Aizawa ordered, rushing down the stairs to confront the rest of the villains.

Thirteen on the other hand, raised a finger, sucking up the mist with her quirk.

"Let's see who you really are!" She said, as Kurogiri began to struggle furiously.

Finding no leeway from me, he glared at Thirteen instead, when all of a sudden, a portal opened before her finger and another one behind her, turning her own quirk against her.

"Kyaaah!" She cried out in pain, shutting off her quirk, only a bit too late as blood seeped from her suit, as she lay on the floor unconscious from pain and likely hypovolemic shock, due to severe loss of blood.

Now, with nothing to stop him but my hands he opened up a portal below us, dragging me with him, back to the fountain.

Just as planned!

The easy way to bypass the purple nurple that was Shigaraki's bodyguard was to portal to him!

Easy peasy lemon squeazy!

Still, I wasn't out of the dead pool yet.

The main act remained to be concluded.

Not for long though. Not with me on the job.

"Wha-" I cried out, acting stunned, as Kurogiri kicked me off him, before he disappeared once more, to target the students, this time without my interference.

Hah! Fuck em!

Not like any of them were gonna die here. Not with All Might being here. Not to mention their inch thick plot armor.

Now, for the prize!

I stood up, shakily, acting disoriented, as a lure.

And it worked like magic!

Shigaraki, seeing me weak and vulnerable, made his way to me, strutting confidently, or as confidently as one can when they walk hunched over with a dozen hands grabbing every inch of their torso.

"Come here, you.

You'll make a great hostage for All Might!" He muttered, leaning down, and grabbed me by the neck.

Instantly, I activated Erasure, that I had copied earlier, stopping Shigaraki's quirk from activating.

"Yeah?" I said, dismissing the act, "I dont think so!"

With a lightning fast punch, I nailed him square in the junk, as he doubled over, shrieking in pain.

"Hah!" I cried, "And that's why you should always wear a groin cup, dickwad!"

Standing up, I swiped the hand off his face, as he began to quiver with rage.

"You! Give it back! It's mine! MINE!" He screamed, only to have his teeth kicked in.

"Finder's keepers!" I teased, hiding the hand in the darkness of my coat using Kuroiro's quirk, Black.

Can't have the police confiscate it as evidence, now can we?

But just for good measure, I tore another three hands off of him before Kurogiri noticed his master's plight and returned, just in time to see the Nomu get knocked straight into the sky, like team rocket.

"Master Shigaraki!" He fumed, looking at me, seething with hatred.

"You want to fight, or do you want to save your master?!" I mocked, forcing him into the bull's horn of a choice.

He thought for a moment, his eyebrows furrowed, before making the logical choice, seeing as how the Nomu was out if the picture.

Opening a portal, he grabbed Shigaraki and disappeared into the mist, even as Shigaraki screamed curses at me.

".....I'll be back! And you'll live to regret this day!" Were his last words as the portal closed, marking an end to the USJ incident.

your powerstones, hand them over!
