The town was shrouded in gunsmoke, engulfed in flames. Amidst the chaos emerged a towering figure clad entirely in metal, adorned with divine runes crafted by the Allfather himself. It was Odin's armor, the Destroyer.
"Ahh!" Vostagg leaped from a nearby building, wielding a battle axe, striking at the Destroyer's head to no avail. The metal behemoth remained unscathed.
Vandal and the others emerged from the shadows, joining Vostagg in a coordinated assault. Together, they tried to overwhelm the Destroyer, but their weapons barely scratched its divine-forged armor.
Seeing his axe ineffective, Vostagg abandoned it, instead attempting to choke the Destroyer. "Quickly!" he shouted with strained effort.
Sif and the rest attacked with their weapons, but none could breach the Destroyer's formidable defenses. Even Sif, wielding a sword blessed by Odin himself, managed only a minor dent.
Finally, the Destroyer unleashed its power—a blinding orange light emanated from its body, its mask opening as it aimed a devastating laser at everyone nearby.
Vandal and the others dodged desperately, but Sif, caught off guard, was thrown hundreds of meters by the impact.
In a nearby building, Thor watched with guilt as his comrades fought valiantly. He attempted to rush out, but Eric restrained him firmly.
"You'll only face certain death without your powers," Eric warned, acknowledging Thor's mortal state despite his divine heritage.
"But they're risking their lives for me!" Thor protested.
"Thor's right. We must act," Victor declared firmly.
"Victor, I'm glad you understand," Vostagg said emotionally, relieved to see Victor taking charge.
"I have a plan. Are you willing to try it?" Victor asked, his eyes gleaming with a peculiar determination.
Thor nodded resolutely. "Yes."
Victor's plan involved a high-risk maneuver—a choice between using Thor's flying technique or a feigned suicide attempt. Both had equal chances of triggering Thor's worthiness to wield Mjolnir, but the flying technique posed less risk of exposing Victor's identity.
"Good," Thor affirmed.
Victor grinned strangely, causing Thor to feel uneasy without knowing why.
...
Together, they strode into the battlefield where the Destroyer continued its assault on the Immortal Palace warriors before turning its attention to Victor and Thor.
"Loki, I know you're watching," Victor shouted defiantly. "You're just a coward hiding behind the scenes!"
Before Victor could finish, the Destroyer unleashed its destructive ray, catching him off guard.
"Victor!" Vostagg exclaimed. "Loki's ruthless!"
"We need to execute the Flying Thunder God Technique now!" Eric urged urgently.
Meanwhile, Odin, observing from his slumber, was showing signs of awakening. He watched the battle with a heavy heart, torn between his warring children.
"What is this Flying Thunder God Technique?" Odin wondered, surprised that Victor possessed such a skill. Had he secretly learned it?
The concept of the technique intrigued Odin, seeing it as a noble and powerful ability. He felt a surge of pride if Victor, despite appearances, possessed hidden talents.
Back in the Nether, Victor and Thor narrowly avoided the Destroyer's onslaught.
"What now?" Thor gasped, feeling the burn from the destructive ray on his mortal form.
"It seems we have no choice but to use the technique," Victor stated resolutely, making a decisive choice.
"What?!" Thor eyed him suspiciously. Could his brother-in-arms truly be a master hiding his true abilities until now?
"It's straightforward, but are you ready, Thor?" Victor asked with a confident smile.
Thor hesitated for a moment, then nodded firmly. "I... I'm ready."
Victor took a deep breath, seized Thor's arm, and with a mighty throw, he roared, "Flying Thunder God Technique!"
Thor: "Where... where am I?"
Odin: "What's happening here?"
Loki: "Travelers?!"
