Chapter 23 - Siege of Caldawn

An army of massive porportions camped outside the capital of Londawn. The city was rank with fear. The orcs and trolls could smell it.

A poultry 6000 soldiers defended the city from an overwhelming force of over 20,000.

With an awful orc horn, the siege began. The orcs and trolls brought battering rams to the gates of the city. Arrows flew and stones were catapulted from the sides of the city. Yet relentless was the charge of the enemies. The guardians of Caldawn were soon spent of arrows and stone and they drew their swords as the orcs scaled the walls with their ladders.

Blade collide with blade and with each orc that fell, two more took over the fallen’s position. The guardians of Caldawn were hemmed in and their desperate struggle in this attrition was apparent and enminent.

The numbers in Caldawn could not stop the assault of the mass army. The 6000 soldier guards quickly fell in battle.
