Laura and Blake discuss psychic gifts

"But then she's not always so sure about her own safety then," Blake responded as he turned to look at Laura.

"It would be uncanny if she could foretell everything. I don't think that fortune-tellers can foresee their own future anyway. That would sort of make them gods, wouldn't it?" Laura commented with her eyebrows raised.

"So, that means that they're bond to serve only," Blake remarked in a pondering tone.

"It's sort of a blessing, isn't it? I mean, at the end of the day they're looking out for others and not themselves, sort of," Laura remarked as she studied her clothes in the long wardrobe.

"They can always consult someone else on their behalf, I suppose," Blake responded. "But now, what about mistaken dreams or visions? What if the psychic comes to the wrong conclusion?"

"That's why we should just pray for our own safety and trust our instincts as well," Laura responded.

"I wonder whom she's gonna consult about us," Blake remarked as he went to sit at the edge of the bed.

"So far, we only know Carminda herself as a psychic," Laura replied.

"What about those rumours about Jacqueline who went to Brazil to find out what her gifts were? Didn't Carminda say that she was also gifted to see mystical things?" Blake asked.

"Maybe she's gifted, yes, but I don't think that she's experienced enough though. Carminda won't ask her.

We shouldn't be paying attention to these kind of things anyway. We now go to Church, remember?" Blake remarked.

"Yes, I don't think it's safe to deal with these things. Especially not with Monique around. She's a baby, so she's more vulnerable spiritually."

"I suppose Jacqueline is gonna change somehow from now on. Maybe she's gonna change her friends too," Blake pointed out.

"I suppose she has to. We also changed when we became successful career-wise. We don't have all our friends anymore."

"Yes and we now have more weird friends and connections than ever before," Blake responded.

"People should not affect us so much anymore. We've been through some heavy stuff recently.

By the way, when are we going to look up Jared? It will be interesting to see how he's changed," Laura remarked with an excited grin on her face.

"He now has cousins who are fortune-tellers. I think he's changed a lot," Blake responded.

Laura's phone made a beep sound then.

"Oh, it's a message from Carminda. She says that everything is sorted out. We're safe to go," Laura announced after reading the message.

"Okay, that's great. Did she say anything about the Guru?"

The psychic? No, I don't know if it's safe to mention those kind of things over the phone," Laura responded.

"Well, let's get packing. I will give my parents the news," Blake responded in a light tone.

Jacqueline decided to give Carminda a call to talk about the dream as soon as possible.

"I think that your dream can have something to do with Laura after all," Carminda remarked after Jacqueline told her about it.

"But how?" Jacqueline asked in confusion.

"It could involve the sick man or the perfumes. Remember that Laura is a model, so she might get a deal to model for a perfume company in France. Maybe that man owns the perfume company."

"Do you think so? But I didn't see Laura anywhere in the dream."

"You might have the second part of the dream and then you could see if Laura is connected to the first dream," Carminda explained.

"Oh, can I actually have a dream that's in two parts? Days apart?" Jacqueline asked in surprise.

"Yes, that's what's so interesting about this. You can have a dream in many parts."

"That's so weird. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to Laura because I didn't sense what was coming to her," Jacqueline responded in a concerned tone.

"No, don't ever hold yourself responsible for what happens in your work as a psychic," Carminda responded in a firm tone of voice.

"Why can't I just go along with them? It won't be for long, will it?" Jacqueline asked.

"It all depends on how long the movie is. It could take up to six months."

Adam reached Jacqueline's side and frowned at her. He was clearly curious about why she was on the phone for such a long time.

"The businessman in your dream could be suffering from a serious disease like cancer," Carminda was saying while Jacqueline looked observed Adam's questioning gestures.

"What, cancer? That's awful. This means that I'm somehow responsible for helping him. It's clearly him who needs my help and not Laura," Jacqueline responded in shock.

Adam's eyes stretched very wide at this.

"No, not necessarily. Maybe you should inform someone else that he is ill, but at the right time," Carminda replied.

"But there can't be a lot of time if he's so sick. He really seemed to be in a lot of pain," Jacqueline remarked with her eyes stretched wide.

At this point Adam plopped down onto a chair.

"Don't stress about this. It's actually very exciting to be able to cure someone," Carminda remarked on her end.

"Cure? But I don't know anything about curing anyone," Jacqueline protested, shaking her head.

"You will find out how to do it in time. Just be patient. It's all part of being able to see beyond the natural."

"I wonder if I'm the right person for this. It doesn't sound like me," Jacqueline responded as she also fell into a garden chair. She and Adam were currently in the garden where some people were posing for wedding photos.

"It's normal to doubt yourself in the beginning, but you're completely meant for this, I assure you."

"But, cancer? Who can cure cancer simply with visions?" Jacqueline asked.

"Maybe that's why you had the dream. Your powers are enough to heal a man like that. Just keep focused and don't let fear creep into you."
