STUCK

I was served Mac and cheese which I found amusing because it tasted really good. I was done with my meal and was about to pick up my plates and drop them in the kitchen for washing, Kelvin interrupted me.

"I don't think you should do that. The maids will take care of it" He looked up and stared at the maid who stood at the far end of the table close to an entrance. The dinning room looked really big and spacious. It literally looked like I was in a castle. Everywhere was lit with luminous lights which beautified the house which obviously includes the dinning room itself. A huge chandelier was hung at the center of the table. The dining table was really long and wide which could actually occupy nothing less than 10 people.

"Uhmm..... Kelvin, thanks for the meal and the bed and everything. I'm sorry about your lamp though. I'll be on my way now. Thanks for everything once again" I said as I stood up to take my leave.

He dropped the cutlery in his hands and looked up at me.

"You're leaving?" He questioned.

"Ye----Yes----I mean yeah, I'm leaving" I stuttered.

"Why?" He raised his brows.

I was taken aback by his question. What in the world does he mean by "Why".

He abuses his maids and this isn't obviously my house and I just happened to be here due to circumstances he had met me in earlier.

And now he's asking me "Why".

Oh Lord! Save me!

He smiled and shook his head.

"Cassandra" He called my name which sounded really creepy and was frightening. It was not the fact that he had called my name was what frightening, but the tone in his voice was what made it frightening.

"Yeah?" I shivered and moved backwards as he came approaching me.

I did not dare to make eye contact.

This is just so wonderful. I just left prison just to be stuck with a rich dude who turned out to be a psychopath.

That is just so amazing!

He stood up from his seat and walked towards my direction. I was scared and had beads sweats form on my face even with the air conditioner being on.

He grabbed me by my waist and placed his finger on my lips.

He said "I don't think leaving is really such a good idea and it is clearly not a decision you get to make all by yourself. I am the master of this house and I get to decide on who stays and leaves. Is that understood?"

I was shaking in fear and had wished that the world would just end at that moment.

He whispered in my ear. I could feel his warm breath and the bass of his voice.

"Is my little baby scared? Do not worry honey, I will certainly not hurt you. That is only if you promise to behave" He said.

I stared at him with disgust and irritation. What a very despicable asshole!

"I really like you Cassandra" He said as he caressed my hair.

He tried to lean in for a kiss but I was lucky enough to tilt my head the other way drifting from his lips.

"Hmm? Oh I get it. You play hard to get. I like fierce" He said.

"Baby steps. Not to worry, I am confident that you will kiss me soon enough" He smirked and loosened his grip on me.

I looked around and stared at the maid who had been standing right there the whole time. She had this look on her face which I could tell that she felt pity for me. She shook her head and immediately, that was when I got the cue that I was done for and I should not resist.

Ding!

His phone went on and it was a message from God-knows-who.

He checked his phone and snorted.

He winked at me and went upstairs to his room.

After he left, I let out a deep sigh and I could feel my legs wobble in fear.

At that moment, I had just one goal. It was to get the fuck out of that house. But it turned out to be much harder than I had thought because there were hidden security cameras and security guards were literally everywhere.

"Ma'am, are you alright?" I heard a voice.

I looked up to see who it was, it was the maid who was present during the ruckus between Kelvin and I.

I whimpered and almost fell. She held me and took me to my supposed bedroom.

She tucked me in bed and while she was at it, I decided to break the silence between us.

"Is this how he treats everyone?" I asked.

Seeing how I got no response from her, I went on and asked, "He did that to you?"

She had a scar on her face and wrists just like the Maria, the maid that got slapped by kelvin earlier.

She started sobbing and begged me to leave as soon as I could if I did not want to end up like them.

"You have to leave ma'am! I would not want you to end up like us. Like them!" She begged.

"Them? What do you mean by them?" I became more curious to know more.

"Please, tell me. I think I can help you " I said.

She wiped her face with her gown and said, "Are you sure you wanna know?"

"Yes! please!" I answered.

Then she began, "It all started when the master----"

"What is this I'm seeing?" Kelvin walked in and things got a little bit awkward.

I could swear he had been eavesdropping on our conversation.

"What's your name?" He asked the maid who was already shivering and shedding tears.

"I'm----uhm---Jane" She stuttered.

"Tsk-tsk-tsk. Jane, Jane, Jane. When you talk too much, I hope you know there are consequences for that" He said as he moved closer towards the maid and kissed her deeply.

"Hmm...your lips taste good" He said and he rubs his fingers on her lips.

I was staring in bewilderment and confused about what was going on.

"Go on, I'll deal with you later" He said to Jane.

She made her way out and he smiled at me. He shook his head and also left.

This is driving me nuts! What in the actual world is going on?!

I screamed.
