SECRETS

As I lay on the bed, reminiscing over what had happened during the day, Suddenly I heard a loud scream which frightened me.

It was a female's voice and I could hear the pain and agony in that voice. I became suspicious.

A brief flashback of Kelvin slapping Maria popped up and that's when I had the hunch that he was probably hurting one of his maids again.

I heard a loud scream again but this time it was two people screaming at the same time.

My hands had started to get cold and my heartbeat pounded really fast.

I got out of bed and made my way to the door.

I opened the door slightly and tip toed my way down the stairs. I tried to follow the screams to know where it came from and that's when I sighted a door with a pyramid boldly carved on it. It was the only door that stood out amongst the other doors I had seen so far. I became curious to know have was behind that door.

I walked towards the door but something strange was happening. I could hear some voices and a soft knock on the door. The closer I got, the louder and harder the knocks on the door became. I got to the door and grabbed the doorknob to open the door but it was locked and obviously, I was not in possession of the keys.

I continued to try my possible best to force the door open but my strength was not strong enough.

"What do you want?" I heard a voice.

I paused for a bit and turned to see who it was.

"Kelvin?" I exclaimed. I guess my fear took the best of me.

Kelvin was looking all sweaty and his breathing seemed unusual. His eyes were red and his white shirt looked bloody.

Wait! What?!

"Is that blood on your shirt?!" I exclaimed and was flustered.

"There---there's----blood!" I pointed at him and I got so scared more than ever before.

This cannot be happening!

"What did you do kelvin?" I started to move backwards in fear.

"C'mon! Don't make me go through this again" He said.

He started walking towards me and said,

"You know, you're really a nosy person. And I hate to break it to you but I really detest nosy people who can't just mind their goddamn business!"

It felt like my soul would leave my body at that moment because I was going through a roller coaster of emotions. I was going nuts!

I've seen things like this in movies but me experiencing something like this is what amazes me. In movies, the person who experiences this ends up being killed by the culprit.

And at that moment, I knew I was going to die. Kelvin looked really furious and trust me when I say this, that was not the kelvin I knew.

When we first met, he portrayed himself to be a really nice guy but everything changed when I saw how he maltreated his maids. And now, seeing him covered in someone else's blood is totally horrific and terrifying to see. It's a really bizarre sight.

"You monster! What did you do to them?!" I yelled.

"You really wanna know? C'mon! I'll show you!" He ran and grabbed my wrist.

"You wanna know everything? I'll tell you everything!" He roared like a lion that was ready to feast on its prey.

"Let go off me! Let go you monster!" I tried to free myself from him but his strength overpowered mine.

"I'm going to show you what you really want to know! And then, I'll decide on what to do with you next" He laughed hysterically and took me into a doorway which led to a secret room.

As he opened the door, I saw the most horrifying thing ever.

It was Maria and Jane. They were covered in a pool of blood. Maria laying flat on the floor with her face down. She looked lifeless.

I saw Jane, crawling with the last strength in her and stretching her hand towards me for help.

She whispered, "Help" before she gave up the ghost.

I was dumbfounded and was in a black out mode.

I couldn't believe what I saw.

"No! No! No! This can't be happening!" I cried and at that point, I knew I was the next victim.
