Time

Olvia had her picture taken for the Marine records. Her hair was much shorter and she wore colored contacts, instead of the recognizable Nico eyes, they were completely white as though she was blind.

After the photo, Olvia received a Marine ID and Galan took her home after doing some work. It was time for her to train.

She took off the contacts and complained "These fucking things hurt my eyes…" Galan ignored her and picked up a metal pipe, saying "Go to the training ground." Olvia let out a breath and frowned before walking outside.

Galan followed her and held out a black blindfold. Olvia looked at it for a moment before squinting "Is that…" Galan explained simply "I used this blindfold when I was learning Observation Haki." Olvia pointed at it, looking up and asking "No. What I meant was; Is this stained by blood?"

Galan nodded and replied "It was white originally. Put it on." Olvia was stunned and picked up the pitch black blindfold, looking at Galan silently. He looked at her blankly and she sighed, tying the blindfold around her eyes.

It was very tough. She could feel the rigidity of the blindfold with her skin.

How much blood needed to be spilled for it to be like this?

Needless to say, it was impossible to see. That was the tricky part, Kong gave Galan a white blindfold that he could barely see out of before beating him with a pipe. The more blood splashed, the more visibility would decrease. It was like you were being beaten blind and needed to see to survive.

Obviously, Galan wasn't taking this approach. It wasn't that desperate and Olvia wasn't like him. She claimed that she was broken but she didn't even know the beginning of what that meant.

She couldn't handle how he had to claw and scrape for every inch of strength he gained.

Galan said softly "Calm yourself and focus on everything around you. Observation Haki is learned easiest when you focus. As you get stronger we can simulate extreme stress and traumatic experiences forcing you to muster your Observation Haki during such times. However, to learn you must focus. I'm going to swing a pipe at your head and you're going to try and dodge."

Olvia said in shock, "A metal pipe?! Why don't you use a stick?!" Galan replied gently "Feel the threat of death, stimulate your talent potential. That feeling when you told Kong to fuck himself, put yourself in that state again." as he swung the pipe soundlessly.

Olvia was stunned and Galan hit her in the head with the pipe, knocking her to the ground as he said "Get up." she pressed on the ground and her head was dripping blood. Galan looked down at her and said callously "Nobody will feel sorry for you because you're a woman, Olvia. Think of Robin. She's wanted right now, her life will be plagued by tragedy until she dies or finds herself in front of me again."

Olvia grit her teeth and said "It's your fault!" Galan took out a cigarette and lit it, replying "Yes. It is. I forced her to live a life worse than me." Olvia got up and swung her fist at Galan, who stepped to the side, swinging the pipe and knocking her to the ground as he said again "Who knows what she'll have to do to survive on her own? Unspeakable things that children should never even know about."

Olvia got up again, her rage building as she was knocked down.

Over and over again, blood splattering on the training ground.

Every time another taunt.

"She might never make it out of the darkness."

"Maybe she'll succumb to evil and enjoy what she does to survive."

"Maybe she'll be scooped up and never seen again…"

Olvia was like a feral animal attacking Galan and getting knocked down again and again.

Even the final time before she was knocked out, "And even if she overcomes everything and comes at me for revenge, I'll mangle her. She'll never escape from me alive. She'll die a slow agonizing death, I promise."

The next morning

Olvia woke up on the ground, her head surprisingly not hurting at all. However, all she saw was darkness.

Galan was sitting next to her and opened his eyes, saying with a tone that would make even the most vile criminal shiver, "Get up." he glanced at the side and Olvia's wounds were cleaned up, clearly taken care of meticulously.

Olvia got up and reached for her head but her hands were smashed with the pipe as she heard "There won't be light in your life until you see through the darkness. I heard Robin was spotted by the Marines on a Pirate ship." Olvia froze and looked up, little tears escaping the blindfold as she muttered softly "Please help her, Galan. I'm begging you."

Galan looked at her and raised the pipe, saying coldly "No." before smashing it down, knocking her to the ground.

Olvia gripped the ground and clenched her fists, crying in despair. Galan leaned over and whispered "Cry, Olvia. She's crying too. She cries every night. It's only a matter of time before she breaks and becomes like me…" Olvia trembled and Galan continued "You remember what I told you? I'm not your friend. I'm enjoying watching you suffer."

Olvia swiped her hands but Galan smashed her head with the pipe, dropping her to the ground as he went on, "You feel this pain, Olvia? You get used to that… You'll adapt to it, as long as there's routine, right? Your mind, it craves routine. You can get used to everything as long as there's routine. But when you take that away… That's when you start breaking."

He squatted down and whispered gently in her ear, "Take away day and night, take away food and water, take away patterns… I'm telling you what's happening but you will still break, even though you know what's coming… When you slowly realize that your life's over, that's when you'll break, Olvia. Torture isn't pain, it's time. Robin will realize that soon enough, then all she'll have is the nightmare."

He tucked her hair behind her ear, saying "Every day and night will be a living nightmare. Sleep will be a struggle, the nightmares will come for her then too. What you're experiencing now is barely a fraction of what she'll adapt to. When she comes out she won't even be human anymore. A living shell of what she once was. Imagine the look on her face when I tell her that you were alive for years…"

Olvia slowly got up and Galan added "Just before I end her miserable life, I'll let her know everything that happened without her knowing. How you died right here, how I beat you daily, every agonizing moment until you were put down like a dog. The thing is… You can believe me or not, but that's the thing. You think you know me, but you don't know anything."

He grabbed her short hair and jerked her head to him, whispering in her ear "I will leave your corpse here and sleep just fine. I can feed you to dogs and go eat after. The things I'm capable of, you can't even begin fathom…" Olvia headbutted him and he didn't move as she said with gritted teeth "Fuck you… Asshole…"

Galan dropped her and stood back up, saying "Get up and fight. I destroyed your family, I threw your daughter to the wolves, I killed your pathetic husband, and I'll kill you too. It's only a matter of time before you realize that you would've lived if you followed Dragon."

Olvia slowly stood up and was smashed down to the ground again!

"Get up."
