The truth

"Oliver, if you want to humiliate me some more then go ahead and let it all out. What bad words you haven't use for me anyway?" Ava suddenly laughed loudly and her laughter sounded strange in the darkroom.

"Since you know I am so mean, why did you dress up like this in front of me? Now take that dress off while I'm in a good mood." Oliver said in a frivolous tone and there was an evil smile on his cold face.

Ava's whole body stiffened, suddenly Ava remembered the ruthless Oliver she used to know when she moved into his villa, who would do whatever he wanted without considering other's feelings. She was at a loss, she couldn't do what he was asking, she needed to get out of here but she was unfamiliar with this place she can't get out on her own. Now, what to do?

Oliver was unknown to what was on Ava's mind since he could not see her face clearly in the darkness, he waited for a few minutes but when saw she didn't make any move he got impatient. He simply carried Ava and threw her to the bed and pressed himself on her.

Ava panicked and started to push him but Oliver held her hands and started to kiss her fiercely pouring all the anger he has been holding since he got here. His hand snaked under her dress and suddenly he felt something, Oliver paused and looked carefully. He was shocked to see that Ava was actually wearing T-shirts and shorts underneath her dress. A sense of loyalty hit Oliver and a different kind of emotion made his desire for her grow even more.

Ava couldn't see Oliver's face clearly to see the emotion in his eyes but she felt the hard bulge in her stomach, she knew she couldn't stop him now so she decided to tell him the truth. Maybe after knowing it he would be so disgusted by her that he wouldn't touch her.

Ava took a deep breath and said in a low but serious voice, "Oliver wait please, before you go any further you need to know something."

"What is it?" Oliver asked coldly.

"I...I slept with Sam. I'm dirty, please don't touch me." Ava choked out and closed her eyes. She was grateful that the room was dark and she wouldn't be able to see Oliver's expression. She wouldn't be able to take his pain striking eyes again, she will surely die.

Oliver was silent for a moment. The air around them became very tense. He was still on top of Ava and trying to see her face in the faint light that was coming from outside. He could see her eyes were closed and tears were running from the corner of her eyes. At first, Oliver thought she said that to stop him but when he saw the tears he realized she wasn't lying. Oliver froze. There was a flash of panic in his deep eyes.

"Say it again."

"It's true. It happened when you were in the US and that's why I broke up with you. Oliver, I am sorry I didn't mean to but I cannot change what happened so please let me go." Ava said between her sobs.

"Why? How could you do this to me?" Oliver was going crazy. His eyes turned red and his face looked like he could kill someone at that moment.

"I didn't mean to. I don't know." Ava shook her head, she didn't know how to answer him.

Oliver's mind was running fast but he couldn't accept it for a while then he recalled the mark on her neck when he saw Ava after coming back from the USA. She said it was because of heatstroke and he believed her.

"Ava, your lies are so perfect. Since you lied to me back then, why bother telling me the truth now? Do you think I won't touch you if you told me this? You are wrong Ava! Listen to me carefully, no matter what you did, you will never be able to escape from me again." Oliver calmed down and said word by word. His heart was too painful to breathe. He should have killed that bastard that day in the park rather than just beating him.

Before Ava could react the sound of her evening gown tearing apart came to her ear. Oliver was too upset and only when he could dive deep inside her he would be able to calm down.

Two hours later, Ava was lying in Oliver's embrace. He was holding her tightly as they both started to cry.

When Ava saw Oliver's tears, it pierced her heart and she decided to tell him everything about what happened that night. In fact, she didn't have much to tell. She was not sure what exactly happened that night, she only had fragments of memories of her kissing Sam and taking off her clothes except that she didn't remember anything.

Oliver listened to Ava carefully and he found the whole incident very strange as if it was planned carefully to trap her.

"Did you feel any pain or any uncomfortable feeling in the lower part of your body that night or the next morning?" Oliver held her tightly and asked.

"As I said I don't remember anything about that night. I went inside the room and smelled a strange fragrance. Then I fainted. I woke up the next day and found myself beside Sam and the mark on my neck, but I didn't have any pain anywhere in my body." Ava tried to give as much information as she could.

"Is there anything else?" The more Oliver heard what had happened the more he was sure that Ava was tricked. He knew her body better than herself, every time they made love she would definitely feel it, it's impossible to have sex and not feel anything at all. And about that mark, it doesn't have to be a bite it could be created by pinching her. Sam was surely involved in this scheme but he couldn't have pulled it out alone, someone must have helped him with this.

"I have a memory of kissing Sam," Ava said hesitating.

"Ava, based on what you have just said, I did hear about this special fragrance which is very rare. I never came across it but I know it exists, it creates hallucination. I think that's exactly what had happened to you. Don't worry I'll send someone to check it tomorrow."

"Are you telling me that there is a possibility that I might not have slept with Sam?" Ava asked hopefully.

"I think so, you see memories can be delusional but physical reactions are genuine. You are a fool, why didn't you tell me this earlier? If you did then we wouldn't have to suffer so much." Oliver looked at Ava with affectionate eyes and kissed her softly.

After the day Ava returned his shirt, Oliver tried to investigate the reason why Ava broke up with him. He found out that she drove out of the villa without her mobile phone that night, but without her phone, it was difficult to trace her location. Moreover, that day the typhoon hit the city, it was heavily raining and most of the traffic cameras were broken so he hit a dead end with the investigation.
