The Jones's

After work, Oliver as usual picked Ava up from the hospital and head towards home. Ava was in a relaxed mood, suddenly she realized tomorrow is the day she needed to pay a house visit to Michael Jones. Remembering that Ava wanted to ask Oliver again about him but she was also afraid that she will ruin his mood like the last two times.

After hesitating for a while Ava took a deep breath and finally asked, "Oliver, can I ask why you hate your uncle so much?"

Oliver was driving the car attentively, hearing Ava's question his handsome face become gloomy, he pursed his lips and stayed silent for a while.

When Ava thought Oliver would not answer her, he suddenly asked in a low voice, "Ava you have been with me for a while, can you tell me what I hate the most?"

Ava thought for a while then said, "Lies, hypocrisy, deception."

Oliver was satisfied with Ava's answer. He smiled silently thinking she indeed understood him well.

"Five years ago, there was a big storm in KNIGHT International, the situation was so messy that the company almost closed down. At that time, I haven't completely taken over the company yet. My father was preparing me for the takeover. The company chaos was unrecoverable and my father almost lost hope but I didn't. I investigated and found out, my dear uncle stole hundreds of millions from KNIGHT International. But he was too clever, so there was no trace of that money and no evidence to connect the fraud to him." Oliver shook his head helplessly. If after taking over he didn't fire Michael's people from the company then for sure the company would have been closed down by now.

"What? Didn't your father noticed?" Ava looked at Oliver in surprise.

"As I said my uncle is a cunning man, he chose a perfect time to mess with the company. At that time, my grandfather was seriously ill so my whole family's focus was on my Grandpa. As the business was going well, my father trusted him with some big projects, but he not only lost the projects but also manipulated the board of directors indirectly to take down my father from his position." Oliver said coldly.

"Oh my god, I never thought he was that kind of person, he looked so kind." Ava was actually shocked thinking how looks could be deceiving.

"Over the years, he has been living a luxurious life, he brought many properties and sports cars all over the country with the money he stole from Knight International, my father knew all of this but he didn't say anything. In fact, Michael's plan was to start his own business in the United States but as you know his heart condition is not good so he couldn't keep up with that alone and Liam was not helpful either. Liam was not a sharp businessman, therefore Michael gave up the idea and stayed at KNIGHT International."

"If Liam was not into business then what does he do?" Ava was surprised to hear that, she thought Liam was a very smart person with the potential to be a good businessman.

"Well, he wastes all his time in different women every day. He is not sincere about his work at all. He joined my company after a month he came back from the USA, he never comes to the office on time, never follow any office rules. He is so irresponsible that I cannot even rely on him for any simple job. He would either forget to do it or mess it up." Oliver said frustrated. He will have to talk to Liam tomorrow, if this keeps going on then he would have no other choice but to fire him.

"It's too much. After hearing all this I don't want to continue to be your uncle's personal doctor anymore." Ava felt disgusted with the father and son.

Oliver smiled faintly, "Why not? It's good money, isn't it?"

"Yes, he pays me fifteen thousand per visit, which is indeed good money but I am not sure if I want his dirty money." Ava was an ethical person so naturally knowing them she felt wrong to continue the job.

"Well, his money is dirty not yours, you are earning it by doing your job. Besides, it's better that he is paying you for the treatment rather than spending it on something immoral or growing his empire."

Ava thought about it and realized what Oliver said made sense. She was earning it by honestly doing her job so it was not dirty.

"However Ava, let me warn you Michael is a sneaky person and his mind works in a complicated way. I would suggest you check his condition and leave immediately after you are done, OK?"

Oliver was also a little worried because he could guess why Michael wanted Ava as his personal doctor. If Ava suddenly refuses to do that he will definitely cause trouble for her and he certainly didn't want Michael to target Ava because of the Knight.

Ava nodded seriously, "I understand."

In fact, Oliver knew the moment they will become public, Ava will be targeted by many people. After all, Oliver had too many enemies. That was the main reason why Oliver customize Ava's phone. Even if her phone was off he would still be able to locate her so in case of any danger Oliver will be able to find her.

At Home,

Oliver and Ava were sitting on the balcony enjoying the quiet evening, the warm wind was slow and Oliver's tablet was playing a song on the round table.

"Oliver, I heard the water park that claimed to be the biggest in the city finally finished and they are opening next week. Do you want to check that out sometimes when you have some free time?" Ava suddenly said to Oliver, she was lying comfortably on Oliver's chest.

"OK, we will go after we get back from Las Vegas." Oliver happily agreed. Whatever Ava wanted he will give it to her.

Oliver raised his head slightly and looked at the bright moon, there were not many stars in the sky tonight. The wind gently brushed his face making him feel warm. This summer night, quiet and peaceful, with a lovely woman around, Oliver felt very happy.

"What? Am I coming to Vegas?" Ava raised her head and looked at Oliver.

"Of course, I want you to accompany me to witness the game." Oliver had an irresistible smile on his calm face.

"But I don't have a visa."

"I've got someone to do it for you. After work tomorrow, we'll go by private plane."

"But you don't have my passport, how could you get a visa without a passport?" Ava asked confused.

"When you have the money you can do anything," Oliver said gently touching Ava's nose.

Ava chuckled and said: "Then it's nice to have money."

Oliver had the same thought too. As long as you have the money you can have anything and the whole world would be in your control. However, money was also like an addiction the more you have the more you want. Oliver remembered when he was the GM of Knight International, his Annual salary was 10 million. At first, it was ok for him and would suffice his needs well but when he got a raise the next year he felt the money he used to spend before was not enough.

"Wife!" Oliver said in a lazy tone.

"Hmm? What... Who are you talking to?" Ava blushed in the dim night realizing what he called her. Oliver always does it, whenever she was distracted he would call her wife and she subconsciously responded to him.

"Who else is here beside us?" Oliver got up and took Ava in his arm.

Ava also curled up in his strong arms like a little baby and put her ear to his chest listening to his strong heartbeat. She thought to herself, how wonderful it would be if time would stop at this moment forever!

Oliver said with a light smile: "Wife, do you want to have a Thai massage tonight?"

"What? Thai Massage? Who would give me Thai Massage?" Ava asked confuse. At this late hour, where would they go for a Thai massage?

"I'll do it for you," Oliver said with an evil smile and took Ava to bed.

"What? No..No... Oliver please, it tickles."

All night long, there was all kind of noises coming from the bedroom. The noises expressed well how the two people found happiness in each other.
