After hearing how Peter was able to obtain a new ability, Erin started to gain hope again, so in her haste, she had blurted out her question. If there was a way for her to get her powers back, a chance no matter how small to return to her former self, then she would take it.
Before she would have never considered it. There were too many downsides she saw both Peter and Quinn deal with. As long as she grew her ice abilities slowly with higher grade ability books, or if she were to find a good teacher. She would be able to progress up the ranks, and eventually become a force to be reckoned with.
