The last few days we spent shopping and visiting amusement parks nearby. Little Moon had a dream that she will go on a ride decorative carousel. When I told Kevin about this he made arrangements for us to visit the park. Since it's a weekday there was less crowd and we could get into rides without lining up a long time.
I took closed her eyes and took her near the carousel to surprise her.
"WOW!!!!!"
"Do you like what you see?"
"Hmm... yes...It looks exactly like I imagined."
I can see the excitement in her eyes. I let her ride the carousel while I spent time doing what I love best, photographing her. After the ride we went around the park and I suggested we try a thriller ride as a joke. But she flatly refused to ride one saying,
"You can go if you really like, but I won't."
"Why are you scared" I teased her.
"I am scared that's one thing, and the other thing is I am not a person who likes thrills"
She used to stop by and sketch some things if she felt if they were interesting. A habit of a designer I guess. At home, she has a big container filled with such books she calls them the reference corner. Now she adds the photos I take as color references for future projects. We played a few games and won a few prizes along the way. Some of the prizes were soft toys that she gave out to little kids who came to admire them.
"Why did you give them away?" I asked her as I won the gifts.
"Because gifting what I got is a good habit and do you think I have room to put all these soft toys at home," she said looking at me with a face.
"Hmm.. point taken"
No, I didn't trouble her again to go on thriller rides again. But I insisted on trying out various food that is sold, from corn dog to triple flavor ice cream. When I looked around I saw a poster mentioning the firework display tonight. Without telling her I book a Ferris wheel ride around the same time as the firework.
The night was becoming colder so I asked Kevin to bring LIttle Moon a coat to make her warm.
"My Moon"
"Hmm..."
"Will you do the honors and ride the ferris wheel with me?"
"Why?"
"Because I want to show you the beautiful firework show tonight."
She thought for a while and said yes.
I held Little Moon close to me as she had a bit of fear for heights. We were amazed by the views we can see from up above. The street lights and colorful display of other lights around the city made it look like we were watching a musical show. Suddenly from nowhere, the firework show started. this was a sight to see and I captured a few shots at the same time.
I remembered that if you kiss the one you love on the top of the Ferris wheel, that love is bound to be for a lifetime. Is it true or is it just romantic nonsense created to get more people to come into the Ferris wheel. But I thought for a while. As we were nearing the top of the Ferris wheel, I kissed her long and deep, till we both ran out of breath.
"Do you know the story about the Ferris wheel and the kiss?" I asked her.
"Yes I know," she said while looking ahead of her.
I pulled her closer to me and hugged her tight till we stepped out of there.
The next day we went out on a shopping spree. One thing I wanted to check was if my new suit was done. As I am hoping to wear this for my wedding reception. A classic black tuxedo suit, something she has always admired on men to look charming. After that, we went in search of a gift for my mother. Little Moon wanted to get my mom something practical, something she will use. After going to several shops, she bought a set of hand-painted dinner plates with gold accents.
Ted was next. Getting something for him proved to be the hardest thing to do. I wanted to get him a tech gift, but Little Moon wanted to buy something he will use more. So in the end I bought him the newest Bluetooth headset while she bought a leather backpack that can be used as a briefcase. We bought some stuff for Kevin and Adam as well as Mark and Jane at home.
Two days later we were on our way back home. As soon as we got home what we did was have a good sleep. Furball also came to us and slept in between. While Little Moon made some light food, I cleaned up the suitcase.
Ted was sitting on the window sill when I handed over the gifts and some chocolate to share with his friend. He really loved the new headset, and the bag she has bought for him. He was so happy about the wireless headset.
Little Moon was busy finishing off the last few designs for the poetry adaptation. While I, checked and arranged things with the upcoming photo exhibition and the promotion of the drama to be released soon. As Little Moon suggested they started posting mini blooper videos not revealing the story plot in one glance in YouTube and Instagram. We asked our team members to share the videos with others, Even the entertainment news jgot caught up with these mini videos and giving us free promotion for the drama.
Two weeks passed in the blink of an eye. The next thing we both knew was, we are in the flight. On the way to meet my mother.
