Ch. 97 - Loki

"So, what now?" Coulson asked Doflamingo, seeing that Thor has been sulking on the ground for almost an hour now.

Contrary to everyone's expectations, Thor didn't managed to lift the hammer similar to those who tried before.

"We should give him some time." Doflamingo was already expecting this, so he didn't react that much and just commented casually.

Coulson just nodded his head and ordered his subordinates to guide Thor to a random room.

As Thor was led to his room, he sat on the bed and almost cried to himself.

"Is this your punishment, father?" Thor whispered to himself. He felt very hurt and betrayed. But deep inside him, he remembers a certain movie where a boy was punished by his father and his gadgets was confiscated and was grounded in his room. His situation is really similar to that boy. His powers were confiscated and was grounded here in Midgard.

"If only I watched that movie before this all happens." Thor muttered to himself as he pulled up his head down and started contemplating about his life.

Suddenly, he heard a very familiar voice that he hasn't heard for a week.

"Brother."

"Loki! What are you doing here?" Thor confusedly asked him.

"I had to see you."

"Why? What happened? I'll explain to father." Thor was even more confused at this as Loki finally revealed and explained.

"Father is dead." Loki revealed with a sad expression.

"W-what?" Thor stuttered as he was both shock and sad.

"Your banishment, the threat of a new war, it was too much for father to bear." Loki was very good at acting that even Doflamingo, who has been watching them from behind the glass was almost tricked by it, if it wasn't for the fact that he knew the truth.

"You mustn't blame yourself. I know that you loved him but I-."

"Don't lie to me brother." Thor suddenly changed faces and growled at Loki, shocking him greatly.

"I'm not lying to you, brother!" Loki tried to refute what Thor exclaimed, thinking that Thor was just probably wild guessing.

"I know when a person lies, Loki. I watched it in a movie. And a friend taught me how to spot one." Thor said seriously, making Loki step back a little, his eyes showing a confused look, probably thinking that the man in front of him is not his brother anymore?

After all, no matter how bad the lie is, Thor always believes whatever comes out in his mouth, even if the signs were already so obvious that he's lying. This is due to the fact that Thor always had the tendency to always trust his friends and families.

And now, Thor was suddenly calling him a liar.

"This is a serious matter, Thor. You can't just assume that I'm lying just because you were taught how to spot one." Loki insisted that what he was saying is the truth and nothing but the truth.

"Despite being the god of trickery, you're quite a good liar, Loki. You almost fooled me." Suddenly, Doflamingo decided to show himself behind the glass.

"How can you see me?" Loki was confused. Before coming here, he casted an invisibility spell on himself, so only a supernatural being would notice his existence.

"Perhaps your magic is getting rusty." Doflamingo shrugged his shoulders and said as Thor happily called out to him.

"Doffy!" Thor's smiling face looked similar to a golden retriever, which Doflamingo recognizes.

"A mere mortal dares to call me rusty!?" Loki's prideful heart cannot take the insult as he has been honing and practicing his magic under the tutelage of his mother and other best magicians in Asgard, and only for him to be called rusty from a mere mortal?!

"I don't like a mortal meddling in my affairs, just go ahead and die." Loki then suddenly threw out a dagger towards Doflamingo's heart.

"Doffy!" Thor worriedly shouted at him as he didn't know yet how strong Doflamingo is. In his mind, he only thought of Doflamingo as a friendly and kind mortal that decided to help him out.

However, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as not only did Doflamingo swiftly catched the dagger without inflicting an injury on himself, but he also smoothly threw the dagger back to Loki, who had to bend his back just to avoid it.

"What?" Loki was shocked and confused by the skills that Doflamingo showed and thought that he must be some kind of a warrior in Midgard.

"Maybe he's just lucky." Loki's prideful mind didn't allow him to acknowledge Doflamingo's skill but instead, just blamed it on his 'luck'.

"Let's see if this is lucky then." Doflamingo heard Loki's whisper, so he grinned widely and 5 sharp razor strings suddenly came out of his fingertips and tied Loki up from his neck and down to his toes.

"Argghh!" Despite wearing a cloth that has many rune spells to protect him and a godlike physique, Doflamingo's strings still managed to inflict some small damage on his skin.

"Hehehehe." Doflamingo chuckled in a weird manner as his fingers moved, tightening the string on Loki's body.

"Enough!" Having his pride and ego hurt, Loki finally had enough and his body suddenly passed through the strings and moved away from his current position before throwing 3 set of daggers towards Doflamingo.

'Hm? A magic spell that allows him to bypass a physical object? Huehehehe.' Doflamingo quickly analyzed on how Loki managed to escape his strings and immediately came up to a conclusion, which made him even more excited on learning the magic in Asgard.

He tried asking Hela about some magics but all she has in her arsenal are some weird and dark magics that could definitely give even the most sadistic person in the entire universe a run for their money.

Doflamingo just casually dodges all the set of 3 daggers before suddenly making a weird move that confused Thor.

Doflamingo suddenly horseback kicked on his behind, which immediately revealed an invisible Loki, who was thrown back by the sheer strength of the kick.

"H-how?" Loki clutched his stomach in pain as he questioned him on how did he discover him.

"My senses are just that sharp. And probably because I am someone that shouldn't be your or any assassin's enemy." Doflamingo just shrugs his shoulders and replied, as if what he did is something so casual that even a fifth grader could do.

"Loki stop that." Doflamingo then made a deadpan expression as he tilted his head and dodged a poison coated dagger.

"It's worth a try." Loki smirked and said before performing another set of magic that allows his form to duplicate multiple times.

"Hahahaha! Guess where I am now?" The 'Lokis' laughed in unison and said, thinking that Doflamingo won't spot the real one.

"Playing with clones now, eh?" Doflamingo smirked, much to Loki's horror as multiple arms suddenly extended from his back before almost 15 to 20 Doflamingo clones spurted out of his back, and surrounded the 'Lokis' and filling up the entire room with Lokis and Doflamingos.

Meanwhile, Thor just confusedly sat on the bed as he tries to determine which one of them is real.

"Ahah!" Thor suddenly made a move and grabbed a clone 'Doflamingo' in front of him, and much to his and Loki's shock, Thor managed to grabbed him.

Doflamingo deadpanned stared at Thor and can't help but express his concerns on his lucky Thor is.

Yes, he grabbed the real one.

"Really now, Thor?" Doflamingo gave him a stare that says 'Are you serious right now?'.

"Thank you, brother." Loki mockingly thanked Thor as each of his clones grabbed a dagger and was preparing to dash towards Doflamingo when Thor replied.

"That's the first time you thanked me since 900 years ago!" Thor almost teared up and said with a happy expression.

"I was mocking you, Thor! How can you be so dumb and dumber at the same time!" Loki's face looks like he's almost gonna lose his shit and kill Thor right here and right now.

Even Doflamingo slapped his forehead and shook his head.

Sometimes, he's wondering on how Odin, who is associated with wisdom and knowledge, could give birth to such an idiot son.

Is he really Thor's father? Or perhaps Frigga has decided to place a huge green hat on his head.

Doflamingo, then decided to finally finish the fight as the spell that he placed on the room, which could muffle sounds so extreme that even Superman would be having a hard time hearing, would fade as time goes on.

Without saying anything, Doflamingo suddenly retrieved all the clones and used Conqueror's Haki to stun Loki.

*Zoom!*

Loki's eyes suddenly shrinked as all the muscles on is body suddenly tightened and Loki tried his best to stay standing, without falling on the ground.

"W-what is this?" Loki whispered to himself as his knees finally gave out and his entire head looked like a tomato that threatens to explode.

"I'm surprise that you could stay awake even when facing the half of the full force of my Haki." Doflamingo nodded his head in approvement.

Hearing his words, Loki was dumbfounded and this caused his body to give out and fall flat on the ground, while Thor's next words just humiliated him further.

"What are you doing on the ground, Loki? Are you finally asking for forgiveness! That's good! I should probably tell mother about this! She will be so happy!" Thor turned back to his usual golden retriever self and smiled.

"I-idiot." That was Loki's last words before he completely passed out on the ground.

However, just when Doflamingo was about to approach him, his eyes widened and he immediately stepped back as a colorful beam suddenly pierced through the roof and fell on Loki before disappearing along with Loki.

"Well, that was quite the show."

Just after that, Doflamingo soon heard a very familiar voice just outside the room.
