Theoretically, [Ip Man], as a D-level card, couldn't beat [The Beast], a C-level card's opponent.
Ip Man wasn't a powerful character among D-level cards, but the Beast was obviously at the top tier among C-level cards.
If the normal storyline had played out, the Beast would have taken out Ip Man with one strike.
However, in this world, there was something called a trick move.
Ip Man and the Beast were essentially Ryan himself, except that one was his original body in a different form, and the other was a clone made of chakra combined with a card.
There was no such thing as worrying about who was stronger or weaker when he was fighting himself.
So, right now, Ryan's Ip Man just needed to punch all the time, bringing out the majesty of that time when Ip Man had beaten ten people. The Beast, on the other hand, should be able to match the speed of his move with an appropriate counter palm strike, giving the illusion that they were evenly matched.
...
On this side, Ryan and the clone were majestically faking their punches.
On the other end, the Hand's ninjas weren't idle. With all their swords, guns and clubs, they attacked Matt and his group.
Because of their injuries, the Defenders were no longer the dominant party. Luke's body was still invulnerable, but the force of his strikes was significantly weaker in return.
Every time Matt lifted his guide stick, he subconsciously frowned. His otherwise agile movements had become much slower.
Jessica had recovered well, but with the constant influx of the Hand's ninjas and the limitations of space, she couldn't do anything but fight with all her super strength.
Wesley's curving bullets were still amazing, but apparently, there was no way a bullet could be magical enough to blow the heads off so many people all at once.
In the field, the only one who was unaffected was Iron Fist.
Although his fighting skills weren't worth mentioning in the eyes of the Beast and even Ryan, with Ip Man's [Wing Chun], they were unexpectedly useful when facing the ninjas. Occasionally, when encountering a crisis situation, he could gather the strength in his body to launch a Chi punch, which could also be used to clear the field smoothly.
In this way, the Defenders, a group of beaten and injured warriors relying on Iron Fist's powers, managed to fight to a draw against the ninjas.
Madame Gao limped up to the second floor of the Chinese restaurant on her cane.
As the power of the dragon bones that sustained immortality in her body continued to fade, she had become increasingly weak and feeble like a real old lady.
Seeing the Iron Fist power from Danny's punches, Madame Gao's breathing became a little sharper. She forced herself to ignore Danny's fight and focus her gaze on the Beast on the other side.
During the battle, Ryan noticed the situation around him and felt that it was almost time.
As a thought flashed through his mind, the Beast instantly raised his palm, which was accompanied by a heavy blow.
In conjunction with the blow, Ryan took several steps backwards. It looked like he was at a disadvantage.
Looking at Ryan, the beast smiled, "Your Wing Chun is good, both offensive and defensive, dexterous and changeable. It's barely a good martial art, but it's just good enough to relieve the boredom."
Raising his hand, Ryan looked at The Beast in front of him with a serious expression and pretended to ask, "Just now, you didn't use your full strength, did you?"
To this, the Beast nodded without hesitation, "Of course, if we take it too seriously, then wouldn't I lose something I'm interested in? "
"What?!"
Hearing Ryan's words, Matt, who wasn't too far away, lost his balance and was almost beheaded by a ninja. Fortunately, Luke reached out and blocked the blade, but the shocked look on Matt's hadn't decreased.
It looked like they were on equal footing before, but the Beast had deliberately spared them.

"Not only that." Ignoring the provocation from the Beast, Ryan still acted out Ip Man's calm demeanour, "Even if you hid it, I noticed that you would always block my attacks towards your left rib cage. Even if I don't know why I know you have an injury."
For the nonsense Ryan made up, the Beast acted accordingly. His expression subtly changed, and he said, "So what? Even if I'm injured, I can still kill you all."
As he said that, the beast swept his gaze over the Defenders, who were fighting not far away, then refocused on Ryan. As a doppelganger, he was naturally aware of Ryan's intentions and then responded in cooperation, "Since you came all the way from Peng Lai to find me, I don't have anything to gift you with. How about a taste of my Buddha's Palm? "
Saying that the evil god raised both palms. Accompanied by a burst of Buddhist chanting, a faint golden [*] symbol abruptly appeared behind him. It blossomed with a golden light, "Buddha's Palm. First Form -- Buddha's Primordial Light!"
"This... this is?!"
The cane in Madame Gao's hand fell to the ground, but she didn't care about it at all. She looked at the beast in shock.

...
It had to be said, from the looks of it alone, that this display of the 'Buddha's Palm' in the Beast's hands, with its Buddhist chants and golden light, was a real eye-catcher.
Even Matt, who couldn't see it, with his super senses at work, sensed the difference in The Beast's palm moves.
With a loud bang, a huge handprint appeared on the wall where Ryan had been standing.
Turning his head, he glanced at the palm print the Beast had made. Even though he had expected it, Ryan was still a little shaken.
Luckily, the Beast was his own clone. When he made his move, he timed his escape to avoid it. Otherwise, if this palm had struck his body, even if it was fine, it would have turned into something bad. There was no need to continue with the next scene.
The palm on the wall was not as dramatic as the Buddha's Palm from Kung Fu Hustle, which smashed through an entire building with a single palm strike. But it was enough of a shock to the Defenders.
Danny looked up at the handprint on the wall and then down at his own fist. Even with the blessing of the Iron Fist, the protector of K'un-Lun, he still wasn't sure he could pull off an attack like the Beast's.
