Chapter 268. Weaknesses (Part2)

"Stark!"

Noticing Tony's crisis, Steve quickly threw his shield.

The shield drew an elegant arc on deck, hitting Davy Jones's tentacle that was gripping Tony with pinpoint accuracy. In the next instant, the octopus tentacle recoiled as if it was electrocuted.

Tony fell to the deck with a dull thud, as if he had lost his footing.

"Stark, are you okay?"

Steve caught the shield that flew back to him and looked warily at Davy Jones. He asked Tony, who had fallen on the deck, in a low voice.

"I'm fine."

Controlling the armor to stand up again, Tony glanced at the damage to the armor Jarvis had displayed inside his helmet and replied.

...

Commanding the undead crew to stand up and surround the Avengers, Davy Jones swung the giant claw that he transformed on left hand, and burst out in a mad laugh, "It's useless. As Captain of the Flying Dutchman, I'm unbeatable. Your fate will be the same as these guys. Becoming the crew of the Flying Dutchman, forever!"

"He must have a weakness that we don't know about."

Looking over at Davy Jones and the crew that had turned into monsters, Steve remembered his experience fighting with Dio, and couldn't help but say so.

"Davy Jones's power may be related to this ship...?"

Noticing the content of Davy Jones's words, Natasha speculated with a flickering gaze, "The power of the Flying Dutchman has always been related to the dead, maybe this is the key to Davy Jones's immortality."

"That means there is a good chance of defeating Davy Jones if we destroy the ship." Hearing Natasha's speculation, Hawkeye quickly added.

"But we already know the ship also has the ability to self-repair." Tony frowned and reminded everyone.

"Maybe it's time for someone to make an appearance."

Hearing Natasha's words, Steve turned his head and looked in the direction they had previously boarded. Without hesitation, he shouted, "Doctor, it's time for the Hulk to make an appearance!"

Previously, they arranged for Banner to stay on the small boat, not only as insurance, but also to prevent Hulk's angry attacks from affecting the battle. But apparently, they now needed the Hulk's power.

Roar—

With Steve's command, a loud roar erupted from beneath the ship. In the next second, the Hulk, fully green, leaped into the air and landed heavily on the deck of the Flying Dutchman. The Hulk's massive frame on the deck caused it to tilt to one side.

Several unsuspecting crew members fell to the deck and rolled to the side.

Steadying himself, Steve looked at the raging Hulk before him and quickly said, "Hulk, smash the ship!"

The Hulk's green eyes scanned Steve's face, and he turned his gaze to the Flying Dutchman, bellowing out a roar, "Hulk, smash!"

In fact, Steve didn't need to give the order. As soon as Banner transformed into the Hulk, his mind was filled with anger and destruction, and it was almost instinctual for him to begin smashing things. So when Steve made his request, the Hulk almost immediately began executing it. He raised his bulging arms and smashed down on the deck in front of him.

Cracks and wood splitting could be heard under the tremendous force, and the [Flying Dutchman]'s sturdy deck barely held up for a few seconds before it shattered.

As Tony looked down at the cracked and broken deck beneath his feet, he turned to Steve beside him and asked, "Cap, did you ever think about the fact that we're also on this ship before you asked him to do that?"

"..."

Judging from Steve's silent expression, it was clear that the Captain hadn't thought of that.

Rumble, rumble--

Before Tony could make any snide comments, the deck under their feet shattered into pieces, and everyone fell through the hole created by Hulk's strength.

....

"The hull of this ship is much larger than I imagined."

Controlling the Mark 8, hovering in mid-air, Tony didn't fall like the other Avengers. He landed safely and then turned to examine the interior of the [Flying Dutchman]. Unlike his expectations, the Flying Dutchman's interior was very spacious and had a dark and damp atmosphere.

A huge organ spewed steam and, under the light of the candles, revealed a strange and eerily romantic atmosphere.

"The hobby of the Devil of the Seas is playing the organ?"

Looking at the giant organ in front of him and thinking of Davy Jones's face, Tony had a feeling irony.

"You all will pay!"

Pushing away the deck fragments that were crushing him, Davy Jones looked up at the deck that had been smashed into a huge pit by the Hulk, and the octopus tentacles on his face started to wriggle like crazy, "I've changed my mind. I'm going to hang each and every one of you on my ship's bow!"

"Guys, looks like we pissed him off." Natasha, looking at the furious Davy Jones in front of them.

"That means our guess was correct -- the Flying Dutchman is very important to him."

The Avengers were not ordinary people after all. While falling from the deck may have made them look a little disheveled, it was just that. Taking off the deck fragments from their heads, Natasha spoke even more confidently.

Roar!

Their key to confidence, of course, was not just finding Davy Jones's weakness, but also having the Hulk.

Just now, it was clear that the Hulk was able to destroy the Flying Dutchman.

Leaping out of the debris on the deck, Hulk continued to roar.

As they saw that, the Avengers and Davy Jones were about to engage in battle once again.

Just then, a glimmer of golden light suddenly fell in the middle of the compartment, coalescing into a tall, thin figure with black curly hair, wearing a yellow and white striped suit, sporting a goatee, a pair of sunglasses, and a white SCP cape draped behind them.

Appearing before everyone, the man in the striped suit didn't seem to be aware of the ongoing battle at all. Instead, he lifted his hand to the device on his wrist that looked like a watch, and lazily spoke in a casual tone.

"Hello, hello, this is Borsalino, I've arrived. Bucciarati, please reply ~"
