chapter 30- Germa 66 part 1

'The hell are they doing here?' I thought while we got closer to their ships. I started to see the Germa fleet clearly and I was quite impressed. While they were no match to the Germa Kingdom, which was a country built on top of countless giant Den-Den Mushi snails that sailed at sea, it was still a sight to see with its unique gray Den-Den Mushi ships with buildings and castles on top of them. I should definitely get one.

"Straw Hat located!" some random soldier shouted from one of the ships, apparently they were looking for me. Why do I have a bad feeling? I tried to fly high to avoid being sighted by the other ships before it was too late, maybe they would think the scout was hallucinating. Alas, before I was able to reach the clouds the rest of the ships spotted me and someone pulled out a giant megaphone. Like house-sized giant, it was amazing and ridiculous at the same time.

"Straw Hat Luffy, the royal Vinsmoke family has invited you to dinner" "I will accept the invitation". 'I was planning on avoiding them but guess I can't avoid it this time' I thought. "Why are we going with them? Didn't you want to avoid them a second ago?" Katakuri asked me, "I was, but my chef is a prince of the Germa Kingdom meaning he's part of the Vinsmoke family, technically, at least, so I need to greet his family don't I?".

As I landed on the deck of the main ship, I could tell by the size of the castle, a girl dressed in pink with pink hair and curly eyebrows came out to greet me and Katakuri. "Welcome Straw Hat Luffy, my name is-" the girl was about to introduce herself but then she noticed Katakuri and immediately greeted him too. "Hello Charlotte Katakuri, we were not expecting you, what brings you here?" her tone and attitude changed so quickly. "Katakuri joined my crew for the next two years", I told the girl.

"Oh, pardon me. as I was saying my name is Vinsmoke Reiju and I am here to be your hostess until the dinner, which is about 6 hours from now so how about we start with a tour of our fleet?". "Sure, what about you Katakuri?" "I'll come too", 'damn he's cold, I would be hurt if I didn't know what guy he actually was'. "By the way, Reiju, just call me Luffy", "Okay, Luffy". After an hour or so we finished the tour of Germa's fleet, I still can't believe that they basically have a stone city on each snail. If this is just the fleet I'm dying to see the country. Also, during the tour, I saw Katakuri looking at the different environments. I guess even if he pretends to have a cold heart he can't ignore this new and weird environment.

"And that's the end, do you have any questions or do you have something else on your mind?", Reiju asked, "I do have a question, actually, can you tell us about Sanji's childhood?". Reiju's mood darkened immediately as her expression turned ugly, "You knew?". "It took some time but I managed to find out", I lied, "but back to the topic, please tell us about his childhood and don't exclude a thing. I already have an idea of what was done to him so don't lie". We walked to Reiju's room for privacy and when we got there Rejiu started to tell us about his childhood, she told us about the enhancement drug judge tried on his kids and how Sanji was the only one not affected thanks to his mother. She told us about the bullying he had to endure from his brothers and the physiological damage from his father, she told us about his imprisonment and escape. By the end of her story we were all fuming with anger, I knew Sanji's background, of course, but hearing it again made me full of anger, even Katakuri had a look of rage in his normally quiet eyes.

"Tell me, how is he now?" Reiju asked me once we calmed down. It was my turn to talk as I told Reiju and Katakuri about how Sanji turned out to be a kindhearted and generous chef, how he fed even dangerous pirates, and his "gentleman" nature when he is in front of women, of course. Reiju laughed when I told her about Sanji and time flew by as we talked about him. "It's dinner time Luffy, we shouldn't keep father waiting", "yea, are you ready Katakuri?" I asked as we were getting ready to leave. "Yes, I'm coming", Katakuri said as he walked out of the room. Since we were in Reiju's room the walk to the dining hall was very short. "Welcome", judge greeted us loudly, "please, have a seat"
