Isn't that a little too much?

"Did you find her?" asked Hina, looking at Veru with worry.

"Yes. She will help us, " Veru replied.

"We need to go back to the dock, " said Veru as he climbed up the wall next to the tree, which lightened in the cold moonlight.

Climbing up, he asked, "Hina, grab my hand."

Hina grabbed his hand, as Veru pulled her, crossing the wall.

"Hose, grab it." He extended his hand towards Hose, who when tried to grab it flinched.

"Who's there?" A beam of light fell on the tree, as Veru climbed higher, "Hose, go to your left, and come out soon. I will be waiting for you at the dock."

Without saying anything, Veru jumped down from the tree, crossing the wall, grabbing the attention of the guards. "Someone just jumped through the wall. Catch it." Shouted one of the guards.

They left Hose and reached the wall, but found no one. "Maybe it was just a cat?"

Hose, did exactly what Veru asked him to do. He marched towards his left and stopped after seeing no guards nearby.

"Where is the exit?" He looked everywhere, but couldn't find the wall, Veru spoke of.

"Who are you?" A noble voice rang through his ears; Hose turned towards it, a girl of the somewhat same age as him, and had ruby life eyes.

He was momentarily frozen at her sudden appearance. Her hair sparkled in the moonlight, as her eyes that devoured them, were deep as the abyss.

"Who are you? If you aren't going to tell me, I am going to shout."

Hose regained his senses, "wait! I just came here with my friend. He wanted to ask some girl for help, and when the guards, we got separated."

"Oh! So you know the girl?" She asked.

Hose shook his head saying, "I don't even know what she looks like? They are keeping it hidden from me."

"I see. Shall I help you out."

Hose flinched but accepted her help. 'I have no other way, and she doesn't seem dangerous.'

"Hina, isn't he talking too long?" Veru, who was hiding behind a watchtower, asked Hina.

"You shouldn't have left him there. I think he is lost."

"How can he get lost? I clearly instructed him the way, " Veru held his head in frustration. "That damned bastard, we need to go back."

Hina nodded in agreement.

"Hey! Who do you think I am? Do you think I will get lost in that place?" The black-haired boy called from behind.

"So, what were you doing?"

"I-I was chased by the guards, which you didn't distract," Hose replied in an annoyed voice.

"Anyway, where is that girl? When will she distract them?" asked Hose.

"She will definitely come to help Veru. Believe me, she will. Right, Veru?" Hina asked, looking at the green-haired boy.

Very sighed, recalling about the promise he made, did make him feel guilty again, which turned off him a bit. "She will definitely be here soon, "

The moment he said those words, a loud sound came from the large warehouse, located near the ship.

Boom….

The flames engulfed the entire building, as he rapidly spread to the buildings nearby.

The yellow-red flames lightened the entire beach with orangish radiance, making the moonlight void.

The cold air, heated as it scorched the entire area. Even the trio, who were near the sea; farthest from the fire, perspired as if they stood near a bonfire.

Veru turned towards the giant structure of the metal, floating on the sea, yet staying still in the same place. The two men ran towards the fire, helping the others who were trying to extinguish it.

Smiling bitterly, Veru commented. "She is too violent, but she did manage to distract them."

Hose looked at the flames, terrified. He froze seeing the flames. "She did this?"

Hose didn't believe Veru's word. The warehouse was one of the most secure places in the entire area.

Hina looked at Veru, "Why don't you accept her? She clearly loves you, although it's not normal. She's pretty too."

Veru's eyes widened in disbelief, "what?"

"You want me to stay with her? Didn't you just see what she did?"

"I did see, but she did it for you. And she wasn't like this before. She turned this because of you, " Hina accused Veru, who flinched and called them both. "We shouldn't be chatting here, but rather sneaking into the ship."

Both Hina and Hose agreed to his words. It was true that the fire was surely unnecessary, but it still helped them in their plan.

The three ran on the wooden plan, as they sneaked into the ship.

The ship, which should've been looking dark, looked as clear as it would look in the day.

Veru turned around, looking at the wooden floor. "There it is, " pointing his finger towards a trapdoor, installed near the mast, by the oars.

"Come, let's hide as soon as we can. They might return back soon."

"Yes, " Hina and Hose looked at Veru and nodded as they all ran towards the trapdoor.

"Hey! Hose, help me out." Veru tried opening the door, but it was too heavy for him to lift it alone.

"Tch, you can't even do anything alone." He scoffed, grabbing the handle, pulling it with all his might.

Creak…..

The door opened a wooden ladder that went all the way down, was hung inside, next towards the opening.

"Hina, Hose, get in."

"You don't need to guide me for everything. I am smart enough to understand, I need to climb it down." Hina commented as she descended to the floor.

Hose too followed her, and then followed by Veru, who closed the trapdoor from the inside before he climbed it down.

It was dark, now that the door was shut, there was hardly any sign of light. The entire area looked pitch black.

"Hina, where are you? Can you hear me? Grab my hand." Veru waved his hand blindly, holding onto something to latch on.

Boing…..

'What's this?'

So, sorry for the delay....

I decided to extend the chapter and thereby running out ideas and taking a quick no that turned out to be more than what I expected.

I will be now updating daily at 8:30 pm in IST.
