''Finally. It's happening. My first level up.'' Varun was excited to experience the feeling of getting stronger. But it seemed fate was not willing to let him go without fucking up.

[Error! Error! Error! Attribute points are not gained by the player.]

[Player's Gift is blocking the path of meridians.]

[Player's growth is hindered by his Gift.]

Varun started despairing hearing the Tower's voice. He had worked tirelessly to get stronger. Isn't he going to get his reward now?

''What the hell do you mean, my Gift is blocking the path? Are you saying my Gift is blocking my growth? How is this possible?'' Varun was muttering.

He was in frustration. He always had doubts regarding his Gift. It was very mysterious and had no information about it. If that was not enough now that his Gift is hindering his growth? It is so abnormal that instead of making him stronger it is making him weak?

When Varun was just in despair, he suddenly felt some warm feeling flowing in his body and felt himself becoming more stronger. He heard a message through his supporter.

{Ding}

{Energy is forcibly moving towards your Gift.}

{Your Gift has levelled up.}

{Please check your Gift.}

'What? What is this craziness? Since when Gifts started levelling up?' Varun thought.

He just got a shock that his Gift is blocking his strength and now suddenly his Gift levelled up. Is this some kind of joke?

Varun opened his supporter/status screen of his Thunder God Set.

{Thunder God Set(Lv. 2): Thunder God Thor was an almighty God. He saved the universe from the wrath of the world serpent, Jormungandr in the War Of Gods Era, but it cost him with severe injuries in his fight.

Due to seeing his imminent fall, the Thunder God decided to choose a successor for him who could be worthy of his legacy and had the potential to wield his powers. With these two conditions in his mind he started to find a successor but even after hundreds of years, he could not find a worthy successor who could satisfy both of his conditions.

In the end, he preserved the legacy for the one who would have the potential to wield his powers whether they are worthy or not.}

''Am I awake or sleeping? What is with this broken stats? Was not I supposed to get only 30 stats after clearing Hard Mode? But there are a total of 210 stats increase.''

''And why is that only my Gift has levelled up but not me? I always lose all my stats and skills after unequipping my Set and now you say that I also can't level up?'' Varun said.

'If I can't level up then what is the use of me levelling up.' Varun was worrying about his Gift. He can't just always remain equipping his Set. right?

'Even if I can always remain equipping the Set forever, so what? I don't want to go everywhere wearing this flashy armour and this hammer always in my hands. I will totally look like a weirdo. This armour is very eye-catching.' Varun thought.

Varun looked at his status screen again and sighed in defeat.

''Can somebody tell me why have I gotten so many stats. I know it is a good thing for me but I don't want to overlook it and then forget about it later. I really hate to be kept in dark.''

''I want some information to know something about my Gift, damn it.'' Varun was on his edge due to his own Gift and he did not even know anything about it.

He started shouting in the room in frustration. He knew he could not get any information from anyone in this world. For that, he would have to reveal his Gift to everyone which is not possible for Varun.

But again his worries were for naught because he got his answers not much later.

[Seeing player's predicament, the Tower has has decided to clear his confusion. The player seemed to not recognize his Gift but the Tower has concluded that the player has a Growth type Gift.]

Varun looked up at the some height. There was a virtual face of AI which was exactly the the same as in the registration room.

''Growth type Gift? Now what the hell is that? Why have I never heard about it?'' Varun asked.

[Growth type Gifts are the most unique types of Gifts. They are very rarely shown in the world. It allows the host to grow stronger than the other Normal types Gifts.]

[These types of Gifts have both their demerits and merits.]

[The demerit is while having a Growth type Gift, one cannot have any job class and host must always remain equipping his/her Gift. If host decided to unequip the Gift, they would lose all of their attributes. All the Growth type Gifts come with their full equipment, skill Set from the being it was inherited.]

[The merit is that Growth type Gifts are not bounded with the rules of the world and it makes the host stronger according to its own volition. The other merit is that host can always remain equipped in his Set unless he/she decides otherwise.]

''Yeah. I can see that. If it was someone else in my place, they would have gotten only 30 stats but here I am with all stats increase. This is awesome. But I don't want to remain equipped forever.'' Varun said.

Suddenly Varun had a doubt and he asked the AI of the tower.

''If I had played in Medium or Easy Mode then my stats...'' Varun had this doubt in his mind which he wanted to clear. It was for his future purpose.

[Yes. If player had completed his first streak with Easy or Medium Mode, then player's stats would have been increased by 10 and 20 points respectively.] The AI answered.

''So, I have to stick with Hard Mode if I want to continuously become more stronger than anyone else.''

[Player is really lucky to get a Growth type Gift because whoever had gotten this type of Gift in the past had only risen to the top of the world. Other players would envy you if they come to know about your Gift.]

''Other players would envy me? Wait, you said this type of Gift is rare and no one has it then how would others know about it?'' Varun asked.

[Growth type Gifts are rare indeed but this information is known by many. The legends of Growth type Gifts are spread across whole world.]

''Really? Uh, why does nothing go in my way? Now I have to hide about this too. Such headache.''

Hearing the AI, Varun was both happy and sad. He was sad because he could not level up himself but only his Gift and happy because he can achieve his goal of becoming powerful with this Gift.

''Okay Tower, tell me. Am I the first person who completed his first streak fastest till now?''

'I just took more than a few hours to complete the first streak and it was less than a day. I am confident that with my Gift I have broken all the records of the Tower till now.'

''Hey Tower, I at least deserve a reward for it, right? There must be a reward for placing first in the ranking, right?''

[The player is indeed correct. There is certainly a reward for placing first in the Tower ranking but the player is not eligible for that.]

''What do you mean? Am I not the first? What? Did I get second or third?''

''Show me the ranking.''

A virtual screen appeared in front of him showing his ranking on the chart.

Varun coughed blood after seeing his ranking. He anticipated that his rank would be mostly at second place or third. Seeing his actual rank made him rub his eyes. He had rubber his eyes four times already.

''Holy mother of Devil. Even with my Gift I am.....''

''Oi, Tower. Are you kidding me? Is this ranking correct? Which person was it that cleared his first streak in just six hours. Are they human or some celestial?''

''Come on. Don't be like this. At least just tell me the name of this expert.'' Varun tried to persuade the AI many times to give him some information but there was no response. In the end he sighed in defeat and left the Tower.
