People are so Weird! {3}

Len sat in his tent plotting, he knew he had needed to get into that city, how could someone sneak a whole horse in? he couldnt leave coconut behind!

Coconut snorted as she sniffed around only eating the finest grass as she watched her rider stare at the big white piles of sugar in the sky, she almost jumped when he got up only to approach her. "Hey Coconut I need something out of the saddle bag" He walked around to her hip and opened a bag pulling out a white square of sugar. She could only neigh in delight at the site of the beautiful sweet block and promptly face planted into his hand in order to eat it faster. She would serve this human forever! He gave her a huge sugar block! She would be the best steed ever!

Len was terrified, he thought Coconut might actually eat his hand with how much she wanted the sugar! After cleaning the slobber off his hand he sat down to plot again looking around for anything that should help, finally he realized they might have something special for orphans like himself!

Silently a guard watched as the child from before walked up to him and spoke "Sir.. I dont have parents, but I'm nineteen rounds of the sun already. Can't I come in on my own?" the guard stared down at the kid "Your sixteen rounds of the sun maximum, however if you can bring a guardian you'll be allowed in."

Len was watching people pass by as he sat on a hill about a mile (1.609 km) from the gate, finally he saw a lone traveler he could ask to help him, he slowly approached the black haired man. Len gently tapped the man's forearm to get his attention noting that this guy's arm was the size of his waist! The man turned around and sneered before gruffly saying "What do you want kid? I'm busy." Len took a deep breath and put on his saddest face as he grabbed onto the mans arm clinging tightly to him and sniffling. "I'm an orphan and-" the man interrupted him "I'm not giving you change screw off kid" Len quickly shook his head still clinging tightly to the mans arm as the man tried to brush him off "no no! I dont want your money, I need a guardian to get inside the gate! I promise I'll repay you back somehow!" the man shook his head sighing in disdain before angrily turning his head to Len "what's your name kid?"

He watched as the kid clinging to his arm wiped its tears away "My name is Len, what's yours?" Len beamed up at him and a hint of a warm smile cracked through the man's cold face "My name is Damian." Damian's answer was short and firm as he thought of how having a kid with him would be less suspicious. "Len, how old are you?" Len was still giving him a beaming smile as he answered "I'm 19!" Damian nodded thoughtfully "How did you get here, you're so small I dont believe you've walked" Len frowned feeling anger, he wasn't small! Everyone here was a giant! "Coconut helped me." he tugged on Damian's hand leading him over to Coconut.

Damian couldnt help but admire the beautiful horse as he watched it prance around, it appeared it wasn't even on a leash!How incredibly well behaved! One question came to mind, how did this brat get such a nice horse?He watched as coconut happily trotted over to Len and sniffed his hand looking for food and glaring at him when he didn't have any.

Damian pulled an old rug out of his backpack and laid it on the grass proceeding to sit on it and gesture to an open spot for Len. "I believe we need to come up with a plan."
