After the exhilarating shower, Orion strolled into Chemistry class, the scent of damp hair still clinging to him. The room smelled of freshly cleaned glass and chemicals, a refreshing contrast to the steam and musk of the locker rooms. Large black tables adorned the class, each equipped with glass beakers, stands, and Bunsen burners.

Lost in his thoughts, he was brought back by the entrance of their teacher, Momo Yaoyorozu. Momo was every bit the image of refined grace and intelligence. Her raven hair pulled into a tight ponytail, emphasizing her mature face. She walked with a certain elegance that demanded attention.

"Good afternoon, class!" Momo greeted, her voice clear and commanding, echoing in the spacious room.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Yaoyorozu," the class chorused back.

"Last week, we worked with litmus paper, understanding the basics of acids and bases." Momo began, her eyes scanning the room, assessing each student. "Today, we'll move a step further."

Orion leaned back in his chair, enjoying the way Momo made each lesson sound so enthralling. She had a knack for drawing you into her world.

"Today, we'll delve into the world of polymers," Momo Yaoyorozu announced, her tone full of anticipation. Her fingers glided smoothly across the chalkboard as she wrote the day's lesson title. "Polymer Synthesis."

"Poly...what?" Mizore murmured to herself, squinting at the board, clearly lost. Mikasa sighed beside her, leaning in to whisper a brief explanation.

Orion, always one to embrace knowledge head-on, stared intently at Momo. He was familiar with the term but was curious about how the class would approach it.

"Polymer synthesis is the process of creating macromolecules," Momo began, tapping the board with her chalk. "It's akin to stringing beads together to form a necklace. Each bead represents a monomer, and the necklace represents the polymer."

There were some nods of understanding throughout the room. Luna and Aurora exchanged an excited glance, their previous worries about Orion long forgotten in the face of new knowledge.

"Now," Momo continued, her eyes twinkling with excitement, "I believe practicals are always the best way to grasp the essence of a subject. So today, you'll be working in pairs to synthesize a polymer!"

A small buzz of excitement filled the room. Pairing up meant potential chemistry—both in the experiment and between partners. Orion watched the reactions of his classmates, his sharp gaze picking up the slight anxiety in Hinata's eyes and the barely concealed excitement on Yachiru's face.

"Alright, let me announce the pairs," Momo declared, pulling out a sheet of paper. "Hinata with Yuuki, Winry with Orihime, Levy with Vivi, Yachiru with Alice..."

As she went on, Orion idly wondered who he'd be paired with. Would it be someone he was familiar with, or someone new?

"...Morgiana with Saeko, and Orion," Momo paused for effect, her eyes meeting Orion's, "with Lucy."

Getting to their table, Lucy and Orion started to plan their steps. The black tabletop was scattered with glassware, pipettes, and a set of written instructions. Orion took a quick glance over the procedure, his eyebrows slightly furrowing in concentration.

Lucy took the opportunity to ask him a question that had been on her mind. "Orion," she began, her tone hesitating a bit, "how do you manage it?"

He looked up, slightly surprised by the sudden query. "Manage what?"

"You know," Lucy mumbled, fidgeting with a pipette in her hand, "dating multiple girls and yet... everyone seems... okay with it?"

Orion smirked, his signature confidence evident. He was not one to shy away from such questions. "Ah, that," he replied, chuckling softly. "It's all about understanding and mutual respect."

Lucy raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious. "What do you mean?"

He took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. "Look, every relationship, be it romantic or otherwise, is built on trust. My relationship with each of them is unique and cherished." He paused, looking at the table. "Like, you and I are about to synthesize a polymer, right? If either of us falters or doesn't understand their role, the chain breaks. Similarly, every girl I'm with knows what she means to me. We have clear communication, and there's no room for jealousy or misinterpretations."

Lucy considered this, then smirked slightly. "So, it's like... every monomer in your polymer chain knows its value?"

Orion laughed heartily. "Precisely! Perfect analogy." He added, more seriously, "And if someone ever feels uncomfortable or neglected, it's my responsibility to reassure and address that. I live by doubling back. If someone puts trust in me, I give back twice as much. It's the way I've always lived."

There was a moment of silence as Lucy processed this. She then sighed, murmuring, "Wish more people thought like that."

"Me too," Orion admitted.

They shared a small smile before diving into their task. The two measured and mixed, Orion explaining some of the intricacies of the process to Lucy as they worked. She found herself amazed not just by his knowledge but by his genuine interest in ensuring she understood.

Hinata mumbled something to Yuuki, her voice barely audible. Yuuki nodded, leaning in to offer a suggestion. On the other side, Winry and Orihime exchanged giggles over something. The entire room was a buzz of activity, each pair engrossed in their own world.

Momo, in the meantime, was walking around the room, supervising and assisting where needed. She approached Orion and Lucy's table. "How's it going here?"

Orion held up their nearly finished product with pride. "I think we've got it, Ms. Yaoyorozu."

Momo nodded, her gaze analyzing the substance. "Looks promising. Remember to take notes and record your observations."

Lucy nodded, scribbling down some quick points. "Got it, thanks!"

Momo moved on, leaving the two to finish their experiment. The room filled with chatter, laughter, and the subtle sounds of liquid pouring and beakers clinking. There was an air of enthusiasm, as students felt the excitement of their discoveries.

As they continued their experiment, Lucy found herself drawn into the intricacies of polymer synthesis. She scribbled notes, detailing how the synthesis involved creating long chains of molecules through a series of chemical reactions. "The resulting polymers," she muttered to herself, "can range from soft and flexible to hard and rigid, depending on the conditions used."

As Lucy continued her notes, her mind drifted to the analogy of the polymer's structure. The chains, the interconnectedness, the way one thing led to another... Her thoughts wandered, drawing a parallel with a certain human organ. Her face blushed crimson as her thoughts lingered on the topic.
