Guardian of the Pacific: The Incredible Adventures of the Giant Turtle

The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.

You Shouldn't Have Done That!

POV: Marshal

In the office, you could see how Marshal was sitting at the table and working with some documents. Recently, the funding of the "Jaeger" project has been constantly decreasing. Marshall needed to figure out how to make money to continue developing the Jaeger technology. The ban on the sale of blue blood fuel did not help him at all. On the contrary, it was necessary to spend resources on its production, and since this fuel could only be used within the framework of the Yeger project, it was necessary to spend money on the project for its production.

The marshal suspected that the authorities at the top were up to something. They diverted money from the project somewhere and did not say where exactly it was going.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

A siren sounded at the base in Alaska, and Marshall immediately headed to the command post.

"Mr. Choi! Report!" Marshal gave the order. Just a couple of days ago there was a Kaiju attack, so Marshal understood that the situation was not standard.

"Sir, something strange is happening in China. Take a look at it." Choi showed the locations of the events on the video monitors. The video showed a monster emitting a stream of fire at the city. "Sir, this is another giant turtle, just like Torterra. It looks a lot like him before he evolved."

Marshal watched this scene in silence, showing no expression on his face. "Send two Jaegers from the nearest base there." After saying these words, he turned and walked away.

"Sir? Where are you going?" Choi was surprised by the boss's behavior. Normally, Marshall stays by his side until the end of the Kaiju attack, but now the situation was very dire, but Marshall just left the room without saying another word.

Entering his office, he pressed a button on his desk and one of the walls opened to reveal many monitors. After a second, the monitors began to turn on, and images of various people appeared on them - they were representatives of the governments of many countries.

"What the hell is going on here!?" Not engaging in empty greetings, the Marshal immediately got down to business.

"Know your place, no one gave you the right to talk to us like that! Have you forgotten who gave you this position!?" One of these representatives immediately began to shout back, but most of them just watched in silence, not saying a word.

"We already have problems with monsters from another dimension, but you make your own monsters?!" It was obvious to the marshal what was happening here. All this money that was taken from him was sent to the Torterra cloning project.

"He shouldn't have been like that..." Said one of these people.

"So you knew about it?!" The man's answer confirmed Marshall's guess.

"Jaegers often break, and it's very expensive to build a new one. It's much more practical to have a creature under your control that can regenerate itself after a fight." Another member of this conference answered.

"But we already have our own monster! Torterra does a great job with the Kaiju she meets." Marshal answered.

"He's only one, he can't keep up everywhere! The cloning project will continue and it's none of your business! Mind your own business."

"But it's up to me to clean up this mess after you! This is my boys I'm sending to fight this monster!"

"It's your job to clean up. The Jaeger project is too expensive and we can't keep it going forever."

"The Jaeger project will be shut down in the future. We have another idea, a more practical one. We will build a wall around the Pacific Ocean and send monsters there to fight each other!" Said another man from the monitor.

The marshal did not answer this. His eyes were round with shock. The level of absurdity and insanity of these people was hard to imagine, and Marshall simply could not be prepared for such a thing. The monitors began to shut off until there was only one monitor left with the woman on it.

"I'm sorry, but your budget will continue to shrink. I suggest you start looking for another source of funding if you want the Jaeger project to not be completely shut down." This woman said before turning off the monitor.

The marshal returned to the command center in silence. He took medicine for his headache and stood next to Mr. Choi.

The next day was a disaster. The two Jaegers tried to fight the clone in a hit-and-run guerilla fight. All this struggle lasted for a very long time with the support of the military.

The plasma weapon was quite effective, but the clone had good armor, preventing it from taking a direct hit by hiding behind buildings. A day later, the clone destroyed several coastal cities. During this time, another new generation Jaeger was prepared and sent there, but both Jaegers who fought the clone were already dead. The clone caught them one by one and crushed them.

Torterra finally arrived at the scene. "I really need to get this guy a jet pack!" Marshall said wearily. With Torterra's presence, he knew the crisis would end soon, this guy never let him down.

POV: Torterra

My head was buzzing, as if after a week of drinking. Although this is just a clichéd comparison. I have never been friends with alcohol. Lying on my back, I opened my eyes and looked at the sky, but I could see nothing but a cloud of dust. It took a long time before the dust cleared and I was able to see my surroundings. Instead of a city, there was a huge crater. A few more buildings remained on the edge of the crater, but there was nothing in the crater itself. Just gray earth covered with ash.

I looked down at the hand I was holding the Jaeger in, and there were some shards clenched in my fist. I immediately released these pieces of metal and they fell to the ground, sending dust into the air. The rest of Jaeger was nowhere to be found. "It must have been a quick death." I thought, examining my own body.

My whole body was covered in blood. Blood flowed from the cracks in the armor and from the throat. I coughed and spat out some more blood. The wound on the neck did not heal and caused the most pain. I wasn't worried about losing too much blood because I didn't think that all the blood could come out of such a large body. It somehow did not enter the mind that a Titan could die from blood loss.

"I'm tired." I thought as I continued to lay on the ground. I put my head on the ground and kept looking at the sky. My whole body ached. Especially the throat, the hand that the Jaeger stabbed, and the hand that the clone bitten. Looking at the hand that had been bitten, I noticed that a piece of skin was missing. "Plasma Bite! I have to take this trick for myself."

SSCRREEEEEEEEEE

A scream was heard from the center of the crater. I understood what he was saying and it was, "I am strong!"

"What a fool!" I thought in response. It was hard for me to move and I just wanted to lie down a little longer. The clone started moving towards me. He moved slowly, showing his strength. When he came to me, he put his foot on my stomach. And I just continued to lie and look at the sky and did not pay attention to it.

SCCRREEEEEE

The clone yelled at me once more. It was difficult to understand him this time, but the closest thing his words resembled was the word "Slave". I continued to ignore him and it pissed him off. He drew air into his lungs and released his fire at me.

BBRUUUSHSH

The orange fire covered me completely, and my blood that had flowed out of me began to evaporate and hiss. I tiredly closed my eyes and continued to lie down.

SCCRREEEEEE

After he stopped emitting fire, he shouted the word "die!" His mouth began to glow with an orange light and he lunged for my throat.

BOOM

At the last moment I grabbed him by the throat. I was starting to get mad at this clone. He already got me. How much nonsense could be said?! Why couldn't he just be a friendly clone? Why did he decide to destroy everything around him? Why did he talk about some kind of dominance? Why didn't he just run into the ocean when he left the lab?

AAARRRRHHHH

I screamed with rage. I pushed him away and released his throat. The clone took a few steps back and was surprised that I could still move. With a sharp movement, I stood up and grabbed him with both hands by the armor from below and from above near the head.

AAAAAAAR

I screamed again and lifted him above my head. He was waving his arms and legs, not understanding what was happening. I threw him to the ground with all my might.

BOOOOM

When the giant monster hit the ground with its back, an earthquake occurred around it, and the ground simply absorbed it, and he entered the ground tens of meters deep. A cloud of dust rose again and blocked the view of these two monsters.

When the dust cleared, Torterra could be seen standing with one foot on the turtle's stomach, pinning it to the ground. A light was shining in Torterra's mouth, and new energy was constantly flowing into the mouth, accumulating from all over his body.

The clone tried to throw Torterra off, but all he could do was scrape his leg. He was lying on his back and had nothing to hold onto to turn over. His armor was too heavy and shackled.

SCCRREEEEEE

The clone yelled as he noticed that Torterra's mouth had already gathered a lot of energy and was ready to fire at him. After a moment, Torterra lowered his head and opened his mouth.

PPPPRRRRRRR

A thin stream of golden light traveled towards the clone and struck him squarely in the chest. The clone screamed in pain and hid in its armor.

KRRECCKK

A moment later, a hole appeared in the armor, and a stream of fire entered the middle. After another moment, everything fell silent. The clone died. He was lying on his armor with a hole in his chest, Torterra standing over him looking tired.
