The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.
POV: Herc Hansen pilot of Striker Eureka
When Torterra went north, my son and I stood still, not moving. This Titan was very strong. He only had to reach for the Jaeger and he destroyed him immediately. These Jaegers were the latest generation Mark-6 or even Mark-7. They had many weapons and jet engines for acceleration. They were very fast. We had only one such in the USA.
Our Striker Eureka was just a Mark-5 with no extra engines. We saw the whole fight from the start when we flew here from Sydney and we didn't stand a chance against these unregistered Jaegers. From the very beginning, we would simply be destroyed with the first shot from a sniper rifle.
BRBRBR
I heard the sounds of helicopters from everywhere. These soldiers swooped down on their prey like flies, trying to take the technology.
"Chuck! Concentrate. We have a job!" I told my son. He, like me, was mesmerized by the figure of the Titan, who was already far away.
"Yes, old man!"
We approached the lying Jaeger.
"The pilot of an unregistered Jaeger! Get out!" This Jaeger's head was relatively undamaged. After a few minutes, two girls who looked alike came out. Apparently, they were sisters, it was a common practice to choose pilots between relatives.
"Stay here. If you try to escape, I have the right to use the maximum punishment!"
Having said that, we ran to another Jaeger who was far from here. This Jaeger also had a intact head, and we needed to capture both the pilots and the Jaeger debris.
"How are we going to transport these pilots? We're not going to carry them in our arms to the base?" Chuck told me.
"You're right. Mr. Choi! We need transport and armed men for the criminals convoy. We have 4 pilots to transport."
"It will be done, Mr. Hansen." Mr. Choi's voice came over the intercom.
We continued our run and came upon a Jaeger who was cut in half by Torterra with an axe.
"Look! There are traces of people." Chuck zoomed in on the optics and pointed to the ground near Jaeger's head. There were human footprints in the sand. We followed the direction the pilots were running, and a few kilometers away we spotted two men running away.
"What are they thinking of running away in the middle of the desert?" Chuck laughed at them.
"Perhaps they have someone who can pick them up?"
We took the Jaeger wreckage with us and followed the pilots. It took us half a minute to catch up with them.
"Pilots of an unregistered Jaeger! Stop! For disobeying the order, I have the right to use the maximum measure of punishment!" The Jaegers did not have the opportunity to somehow detain the criminals. All they could do was kill the criminal who would not obey them. For this reason, no one joked with the Jaegers!
But these pilots did not want to give up. They separated, running in different directions, hoping that no one would dare to kill them. They were ordered to run until a military helicopter picked them up.
BOOM
A Striker Eureka leg fell on one of the pilots from above. Only one pilot remained, who was frightened by Jaeger's decisive actions. He immediately stopped and lay down on the ground, folding his hands over his head.
"What are you doing! I didn't tell you to lie down. Go back to your Jaeger and shut yourself up there!" We had no way to move this pilot except into the middle of his Jaeger. We put the Jaeger part on the ground and the pilot climbed inside.
"We have to go back soon! They want to take our girls away!" Chuck joked as he saw the military putting two girl pilots into a helicopter on the monitor.
"We need to go back. We need to contact these soldiers!" These people took our loot. I don't think they dont know what they are doing.
"Striker Eureka appeals to the military. Leave the unregistered Jaeger pilots to us. I have an order to take them for questioning!" I said on the radio on all open frequencies.
"Rejected! We deal with cases related to illegal Jaegers! You have no authority to do this!" A stern man's voice came over the radio.
"They want to compete?" Chuck looked at me with a smile. These soldiers are making the same mistake those pilots made a minute ago.
"Let's hurry up! We can't let that helicopter take off!"
We ran, dragging the pieces of the robot along the ground. On the way, we also picked up a sniper rifle. She was very efficient. Our hands were busy and it was difficult for us to run with all the weight we were carrying.
When we were not far from the helicopter with our captive girls, the helicopter quickly took off.
BOOM
We threw away the robot wreckage and the sniper rifle and they fell to the ground with a loud thud. I could only hope that the pilot inside had buckled up.
The helicopter was already at an altitude of 100 meters when we were near it. He tried to escape, gaining height. We reached out and jump up to catch the helicopter.
DRDRDRDR
CREEK
Helicopter's blades smashed against our fingers as we caught it with one hand. We heard screams on the radio. We crumpled the helicopter a bit, not calculating the power, but overall it was fine. When their engine shut down, we put the helicopter on the ground.
People came out with our prisoners.
"What you do?! Your actions are illegal!" A military man shouted on the radio.
"Talk to the hand!" My son Chuck pointed Jaeger's open palm at them and laughed. The voices of the military on the radio fell silent. Next, we had to guard this place until our transport arrived.
We collected the remains of only 2 Jaegers. The third Jaeger was so broken that it was impossible to pick it up. We saw military helicopters landing on the ground wherever there was debris and collecting it. But they did not dare to approach us.
POV: General
Torterra's victory over the unknown Jaegers raised a storm around the world. People were screaming for answers! Torterra's victory was not the cause of their discontent. They were unhappy that there were three super-powered Jaegers in the world with extremely effective weapons against the Kaiju, but they were used against the peaceful Torterra.
Everyone forgot that Torterra had sunk a warship with people on board. They were only interested in their own lives and safety. And the existence of Jaegers who could easily kill Kaiju, who were illegal, outraged people.
Everyone knew that such technologies could only be made with the support of the government. All the information that Marshal sent to television added fuel to the fire. The level of people's anger could not be measured. To say that riots started all over the world is an understatement.
All industry stopped. Roads were blocked. Trains and planes stopped. In short, people went on strike. Just one day of such a strike forced half of the world's governments to resign. No one wanted to face the economic problems caused by these human actions.
A government without the support of the people is just homeless beggars. Even in countries where dictatorship reigns, the police and army could not do anything against tens of millions of striking people.
"Why the stupid wall need when we have a Jaeger that can shoot a Kaiju from 10km away? Why should we work for nothing on building the wall for years, when we can earn money working as before? Why even have a wall that Kaiju can climb over? Why does the government reduce the funding of the Jaegers program and make its own Jaegers? Why did they attack Torterra with these Jaegers when they could have sent them to fight the Kaiju?"
They finally started asking the right questions on television. And as a result, people began to lose their positions. The culprits were quickly found! The interrogation of the pilots of the unregistered Jaegers, which was conducted openly, did not prove the involvement of the World Council, but they told about the factory where the Jaegers were made and there was evidence against some members of the World Council.
The Marshal immediately sent the two Jaegers to the factory along with many of the soldiers and guards that worked for him. He did this with the consent of many governments, though they were not pleased, but he rather confronted them with the fact than asked their permission.
The plant was located in Europe, in one of the northern countries, where there are many islands and it is very cold. Where you could hide any activity. Thus, Marshall had the production facilities and blueprints for the black Jaegers, which were called Obsidian Fury. It was a victory both politically and economically, as the government had no choice but to re-fund the Jaeger program and begin mass production of the Obsidian Fury to combat the Kaiju. This news alone calmed many people.
But the World Council did not give up. It lost only half of its members, who were replaced by others. The World Council's power was reduced and they needed to coordinate any decisions they made with the UN, which had returned to work after a break.
This did not suit Marshal. Although many people were released, none went to prison for the Clone incident. Although all this calmed the people and they stopped rioting, but it could lead to new disasters in the future. If only he could find the cloning labs…
