The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.
After taking spear, Torterra immediately sailed to the Marshall Islands to go to sleep. He took the remains of the octopus in tow and slowly swam across the ocean. He was in no hurry, so the journey took a whole week.
He wanted to fly on a jetpack, but it didn't work. It would be amazing if a jetpack survived after sonic speed drop without damage. Torterra left the jet pack on the beach near the town.
While slowly swimming to the island, he began to feel ill. The wound on his stomach was not healing, and when he looked closely, he noticed a blue blood infection there.
The infection of the wound scared him a little. He had always thought that his titan immunity could handle all diseases, but now that illusion was gone. His health was deteriorating day by day, and the pain in the wound was also bothering him. Every wave of his hands was accompanied by a sharp pain, so sailing for a whole week to the Marshall Islands seemed to him an eternity.
His body was not passive when infected and began to fight the disease. His body was getting hotter and hotter. It was something similar to the temperature of people during illness, but when Torterra came ashore on the right island, he was literally on fire.
'Looks like I'll be on sick leave for the next few months!' Torterra joked as he lay down on the island a bit further away from radioactive waste than usual. He didn't want to melt the containers and cause radioactive waste to leak into the ocean.
He was holding the wound in his hands as he lay on his side, breathing heavily. He was getting worse and felt dizzy. His skin was red with distinct orange lines that looked like veins.
Perhaps if there was no body reaction to the infection, he would have suffered more, but the rise in temperature gave him hope for recovery.
'However, I will no longer be bothered by the birds on this island.' Due to Torterra's high body temperature, all the vegetation on the island dried up, leaving only the trunks. The animals that could have left the island have already done so, but the rest of the animals unfortunately died.
He found the strength to eat the Octopus because if his body started to struggle, it meant he would need nutrients to heal.
Torterra spent several days eating Kaiju. At the end, the Kaiju's body was like charred crackers, but he ate them anyway.
This island used to be like an Amazon jungle with lots of animals, but now it was like a desert with sand covered in black ash from burnt tree leaves. There was nothing on the island except black tree trunks.
'Haaa - Haaa' Torterra's heavy breathing could be heard all over the island. Fire came out of his mouth every time he breathed. His stomach started to hurt badly, and he curled up, clutching his stomach with his hands. After several hours of suffering, he lost consciousness.
Before, the aliens fought only with robots, so they probably did not think about the development of bio-technologies based on poison. Although their blood was already toxic to humans, they may have developed something stronger in order to kill the Titan.
POV: Marshal
It's been 3 months since the Mythos attack. Fortunately, there were not as many casualties in the city of Victoria as in other Kaiju attacks. All this because this city was equipped with good underground bunkers. Unfortunately, there was not enough space in the bunkers for all the people, and many were hiding in the middle of the buildings.
Most of the city was not damaged. Coastal area only. The big wave caused the most damage, but it also could not go deep into the city.
Overall it was a success. Everyone congratulated Marshal on another victory and said that for a level 7 threat, these were acceptable losses.
The new technology for the Jaegers also showed itself very well. The idea of making many small engines all over the body instead of jetpacks for the Jaegers was very good. Having implemented this idea, the new Jaegers became very fast.
The new missiles and grenades powered by Kaiju blood were also fantastic.
The bad news was the numerous complaints from the Intercept Enforcer pilots. They complained that they were not given a plasma knife. Their Jaeger was torn in half, but it was repairable. In a few months, the Intercept Enforcer will be operational.
The pilots were severely punished for their inefficient work, but the man who designed their Jaeger was also punished. Considering the idea of creating a giant layer with spikes instead of knives was weird and less effective. After a long discussion, it was decided not to use this technology in Jaegers. But! The marshal decided to keep the sphere and rework it into a hammer and keep it in storage. Maybe someday it will come in handy.
The new black Jaeger was also good, but the Marshal was under a lot of pressure as to which pilots to give this Jaeger to. He wanted to give it to Raleigh and his new drifting partner, but his partner wouldn't be graduating from the academy until a month later, so he had to consider the other pilots the world board suggested.
These new pilots were US military, but they were too close to the world council. Marshal did not have time, so he had to agree to this. For Raleigh, they reworked his old Jaeger Gipsy Danger. It was nuclear, so it was difficult to work with, but with the addition of new technologies, it would be a powerful combat unit.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
An alarm sounded at the base. The marshal immediately left his office and headed for the command post. But before he got there, the siren stopped. It was strange. Although there had been enough strange things in recent days, and Marshal was no longer as surprised as before.
Torterra, after the last battle, sailed to the Marshall Islands and turned them into hell. He has been lying there for three months, and his body temperature does not decrease. That whole area has turned into a parched desert that is difficult to reach because the whole island is in the center of a hurricane that doesn't stop due to the constant flow of steam into the atmosphere. This situation worried Marshal.
The only way to know what's going on there is to look at Torterra from a satellite.
"Mr Choi! Why did the siren stop?" Marshal entered the command center.
"Sir, I don't know. Indicators showed strange activity near the portal. It looked like another attack was about to happen, but judging by the indicators, the portal never opened."
"So we don't have a new Kaiju?" Marshal clarified.
"Yes Sir! I check everything I can and even monitor the portal from the satellite but there is no activity."
Marshal sensed that something was wrong, but he didn't know what. This was the first time this had happened, so he had to improvise to figure out what was going on.
"Send a Jaeger there to scout."
"Sir! According to the indicators, there is nothing there. Maybe just send a drone to save resources?" Mr. Choi suggested a better idea. He trusted his data very much and believed that it was just some abnormal activity in the portal.
"Okay. Keep me posted."
"Yes sir!"
The marshal had a headache again. He took the medicine and returned to his office. This situation was strange, but he couldn't afford to waste time on guesswork. He had other things to do. If the drone detects something, then it can make the right decision.
POV: 15 min before
Deep under the water, the portal to another dimension calmly glowed with an orange light. He was like an ornament in the midst of darkness.
Bubbles of steam slowly rose to the surface of the ocean, and that was the only activity in the place. There were no fish here, just a space filled with water under high pressure.
KKRRRREEEEKK
The portal, which was glowing so calmly, began to worry. It looked like it was about to open, but nothing happened. The portal stilled so quickly it seemed like nothing more than a flicker.
However, what appeared to be just portal instability turned out to be something more that no one noticed.
A hole appeared at the very edge of the spatial rift, and a small creature quickly flew out of the hole and immediately hid between the stones and buried itself in the sand.
The opening in the portal disappeared as soon as the creature passed through, so no one noticed anything.
A strange creature with white skin and blue neon eyes lurked at the bottom of the ocean near the portal. She had a spiked tail and large claws on her hands and feet. The mouth was full of teeth and if a person saw her, she would be paralyzed with fear. This creature was a terrifying monster, but the most frightening thing was the creature's belly. The transparent skin on the abdomen hid a blue substance with many blue spheres.
The creature slowly surveyed the environment and moved, hiding in the cracks between the stones. She moved very stealthily, blending in with the environment, heading south.
