"..."
"You really think that I'm going to leave you now, Ms. Grey?" Jenna patted on her shoulders.
"Alright... so what do you want to cook? Tell me and I'll help you. You can cook for your girlfriend by yourself. I'll just make sure that you don't burn the entire kitchen." Jenna exhaled.
Lillian's face lit up. She quickly ran to the living room, grabbed a few papers and returned. It was all recipes that Lillian wanted to cook for Lucy. Jenna studied them carefully and checked out the kitchen to make sure if all the ingredients were available or not. Later, she made a list and requested Lillian to buy them.
"Are these enough?" Lillian asked.
"Yes, this will do for the recipes you wanted to cook. Make sure to get a good quality steak, Ms. Grey. Also, remember to get the vegetables from the farmers market around the neighborhood. Don't get them from the supermarket."
"Deal" Lillian listened attentively.
Lillian got ready and was about to leave when Jenna stopped her.
"Ms. Grey?"
"Yeah?"
Looking at Lillian Grey's anxious face worried Jenna. she could feel that Lillian is trying her best to make her girlfriend happy. It changed Jenna's mind as she replied nothing. Lillian then went out to buy the ingredients.
...
Lillian never spent her time unnecessarily and purchased every single item on the list as per Jenna's instruction. Before buying the meat, Lillian purchased the vegetables from the farmers market and then went to the supermarket for other items. Finally, she got 'choice grade T-bone steak' which is high quality from the butcher shop and then returned home.
...
"I'm back, Jenna." Lillian handed out the carry bags to Jenna and then fell down on the couch. As instructed, Lillian got everything on the list. Plus, there was also another bag which had a great smell coming from it.
"Eat it. It's your favorite." Lillian moaned.
"DONUTS!!!" Jenna's voice went high after seeing the image of donuts inside the box. Both Lillian and Jenna ate donuts and then moved on to Kitchen for cooking.
Jenna did a lot of prep works and marinated the meat by herself. Such good quality meat and too much quantity. Lillian requested to make more. Jenna accepted. She guided Lillian throughout the cooking session and made sure to stay by her side all the time. After a few hours, every single recipe was completed successfully. Lillian Grey was able to cook well, she felt proud of herself. Of course, there was a major contribution from Jenna who took away the title of the best helper and an assistant. Even the presentation was on point to every single recipe.
The steak was inside the oven, getting cooked nice, juicy and tender. After seeing it herself, Lillian drooled a little bit. By the time waiting for the steak to get cooked, both the ladies went back to watching television and eating their remaining donuts. Lillian bought many initially.
...
"Look at this Ms. Grey..." Jenna showed the well-cooked juicy and tender steak to Lillian. It made her shred a few happy tears. Once all the cooking was done, Lillian wished the dishes while Jenna selected the alcohol to go with. As a classic, she picked out the white wine for their date.
"Everything is nice and set, Ms. Grey!!!" Jenna was proud of herself.
"Thanks to you, I was able to achieve this. Else, it would have become a disaster." Lillian thought about the nightmare that would have caused by her own independent cooking.
"Then, I should take leave. Ms. Lucy might arrive at any moment." Jenna said.
"Wait, Jenna. Hold on..." Lillian requested her to wait in the living room and went running back to the kitchen.
She then packed everything they have cooked for Jenna and her grandmother. Of course, the package had its main star 'the Steak'. When Lillian returned, Jenna's face widened.
"Ms. Grey, are you kidding me?" Jenna backed out.
"Shush... I bought it for you guys too. It's all well-prepared by both of us, make sure to give it to your grandmother." Lillian forcibly handed over the bag with all the food.
"Ms. Grey..."
"Stop it, Jenna."
"If you feel guilty... then don't..." Jenna tried to decline.
"It's not that. Now, don't drop it. Hold on tightly..." Lillian shouted.
"Ms. Grey!!!"
Once the bag was delivered to its owner, Lillian gave Jenna a quick hug and then walked away.
"It's time for me to go get changed. Now, get back home... soon... it's hot and fresh. Go..." Lillian pushed out Jenna voluntarily.
However, before leaving Jenna called Lillian...
"Ms. Grey? Wait up, I want to know something."
"What is it? Quick!!!"
"..."
"Are you... happy with..." Jenna stuttered.
"Lucy?" Lillian guessed it.
"Yes"
"Hmm... you know me too well. I did date a lot of girls and a few guys before. But, right now, you are watching me do all these kinds of stuff with Lucy. It did make me question myself."
"And?" Jenna looked more curious.
Lillian looked at Jenna with a face that said, 'I am trying to move on'. It shocked Jenna as she kind of understood what Lillian's trying to say.
"Alright then. Have a great date, Ms. Grey. Let me know how the steak tasted later. Bye" Jenna left without getting a reply to her question.
On her way back home, she thought to herself, "Ms. Grey is happy with Ms. Lucy now. I don't want to be the person who deprives of that. However, the fact that the person Ms. Grey desperately searched for so long, is close with us now, will soon turn into a situation. I hope nobody gets hurt.'
Jenna decided not to ask or reveal anything, at least for today where Lillian Grey and Lucy will have their date tonight.
