Freeman (BL)

Luke Freeman, the genius of the century, just got out of prison, after being falsely imprisoned there for two years for the murder of his guardian. When he got out, he was assigned a therapist by his best friend. He doesn't like his therapist, Tim. He always tries to get involved in his personal life, and there is no escaping their weekly session together. Unfortunately, for him though, a laboratory accident lands him and his therapist a thousand and five hundred years in the past, but the worst part is that they aren't in their sixteenth century, the sixteenth century of a different dimension. Fortunately, Luke's guardian who is supposed to be dead is here as well... But he is here ruling as an evil king, who is slowly turning this dimension into what is his definition of the perfect world. That's not good. Now, Luke, Tim, and a group of people from this world are on a mission to stop the evil ruler from his mission. However, this might be a fun adventure for Luke and Tim. "Ugh, I wish I had a full glass of ninety-eight percent alcohol in my system," Luke commented boredly. "But that would kill you," Time replies. Luke rolls his eyes. "That is the f**king point, roach." Or maybe not...

Chapter 23

They returned to the city and almost immediately they were met with several posters. Tim took one and read the content of the poster. "Oh no," he said.

"Come and witness the execution of the Angel of Darkness at the town square," Myrin said.

"Oh my gods," Tim said.

Iya was wearing a cloak over her head. She notices soldiers roaming around and she covers her with her cloak and moves closer to Tim. "I heard the Angel of Darkness is getting his mind checked through for information," one of them said.

"That can't be good," Myrin said in amusement.

"What can't be good?" Tim asked in horror.

"Forceful telepathy," he said chuckling. "This can go wrong in so many different ways," he said.

"What does that mean?" Tim asked now getting a bit more worried.

Myrin laughed then ran away with Tim and Iya running behind him. 'What does that mean?'

Luke's head ached so much. They finally managed to get into his head after trying for thirty minutes and he's remembering memories he didn't even know he had.

Although the process is mesmerizing in his eyes, magic circles above him, around his head, and underneath him, he sees chains snapping before remembering memories he locked away from when he was younger.

"You are searching my locked memories, you won't find anything there," he said. He was breathing heavily and was already sweating. "This is so embarrassing."

'His locked-away memories are of him missing a day of the week?' Zoey thought in confusion. She was the one in charge of checking the memories of the Angel of Darkness, the spell was quite complicated so she had to concentrate or she'd be stuck inside his mind.

'Hey, hey,' she hears his voice in his head. 'I'm getting bored entertain me.'

She nearly yelped in surprise but held it in. Her frown intensifies as she tries to unlock another locked memory. It seems Luke knew the memory she was trying to unlock and when she unlocked it, the memories flooded his head.

'These are painful memories,' she thought as she watched several dreadful memories.

Luke wasn't happy remembering all of these memories. 'Stop it,' he thought knowing that she would hear him.

"I-I-I think we should stop with the locked memories," she stammered.

"Have you found the information we need?" David asked.

"No, but--"

"I order you to read everything at once," David said surprising everyone in the room.

"But your majesty--" Zoey said.

"Do you dare disobey?"

This process could kill her. But what kind of soldier would she be if she wasn't willing to sacrifice herself for the betterment of the kingdom? "Yes, Your Majesty," she said.

Myrin led Iya and Tim to where he believed Luke was being imprisoned. His heart thumped in excitement as he thought of what was going to happen next.

Iya stopped all of a sudden and stepped back in fear. "Don't move any further," she said, her voice was shaky and her legs were trembling.

Boom!

The walls broke down and they saw a person fly over their heads, and crash into the walls nearby.

Tim turned around and saw a soldier's disfigured body. The neck was twisted the wrong way, as well as his arms and legs. His face paled and turned ghost white, he covered his mouth in horror and tried to stop himself from throwing up on the scene.

Luke comes out of the hole, his eyes are no longer the original color and are red. Tim was relieved to see him, despite Luke looking quite dangerous. He was about to call him, but Iya covered his mouth. "Do you want to get us killed?" she said.

"That's Luke," Tim said, confused as to why he could not call Luke.

Luke turned to them when he heard his name and he became normal almost immediately. "Tim?" he said squinting his eyes at them. "Damn it, I can't see, sand got in my eye," he said rubbing his eyes. "If you're Tim say something only Tim would say."

"Luke!" Tim called his name again.

Iya was surprised that whatever dangerous aura Luke was emitting had disappeared.

"Ah, I scratched my eyes too much, I've wounded myself," Luke said.

Tim doesn't know why he felt relieved. He was genuinely scared for a moment when Iya said he shouldn't speak if he didn't want to get killed.

Luke removed his hands and his eyes were swollen from rubbing them too hard. He blinks several times trying to clear the dirt in his eyes.

Myrin frowns, seemingly disappointed at the outcome. Fortunately, none of them noticed his mood.

"Why is there a dead person over there?" Luke asked pointing to the dead man he had just thrown out of the building.

Tim didn't get the chance to answer when Luke bent down and began screaming in pain. "How are you still in my head, get out!" he said, his voice was shaky and he sounded like he was about to cry. Dark red wisps began emitting from him.

Tim ran to him but was stopped by Myrin who jumped in front of him with a widened smile. "Don't ruin the process," he said touching Tim's forehead and making him unconscious.

He looks at Iya who had already summoned her whip and attacked him.

He caught it. "Don't ruin the process," he repeats. Iya was surprised he wasn't getting hurt by her ability. He pulls her in with her whip and kicks her head so hard she crashed into the nearest building.

Zoey came out of the building, bleeding from her head, and breathing heavily. Her breastplate was severely damaged, she removed the breastplate and summoned a sword made of light in her hands.

Luke seemed to have just noticed her presence, his eyes were red again. Zoey moved and the ground cracked, she appeared next to him, swinging her sword as if aiming for his head.

He disappears before the sword can reach him. He appears on top of a building and creates a dark red magic circle. The magic circle was pulled from the center back causing it to elongate and a small dark red sphere began to form.

"Get out of my head," he said releasing and the sphere shot at the speed of sound at her.

She sunk into the ground and the shot missed her, however, the damage was not small, it destroyed everything in its way sucking it in like some sort of vacuum.

He hears a sound and disappears from where he stood. A spear pierced the ground next to where Myrin was watching with Tim and Iya lying unconscious next to him.

"If only we didn't have that contract, Erebus, I would have kept him as a little pet."
