Freeman (BL)

Luke Freeman, the genius of the century, just got out of prison, after being falsely imprisoned there for two years for the murder of his guardian. When he got out, he was assigned a therapist by his best friend. He doesn't like his therapist, Tim. He always tries to get involved in his personal life, and there is no escaping their weekly session together. Unfortunately, for him though, a laboratory accident lands him and his therapist a thousand and five hundred years in the past, but the worst part is that they aren't in their sixteenth century, the sixteenth century of a different dimension. Fortunately, Luke's guardian who is supposed to be dead is here as well... But he is here ruling as an evil king, who is slowly turning this dimension into what is his definition of the perfect world. That's not good. Now, Luke, Tim, and a group of people from this world are on a mission to stop the evil ruler from his mission. However, this might be a fun adventure for Luke and Tim. "Ugh, I wish I had a full glass of ninety-eight percent alcohol in my system," Luke commented boredly. "But that would kill you," Time replies. Luke rolls his eyes. "That is the f**king point, roach." Or maybe not...

Chapter 24

Zoey mind is connected to Luke's and it is driving him insane. It's like a thousand needles poking him at the same time.

He had lost his mind when he broke out of his chains, but he went unconscious from there. Now, he's not entirely conscious here either. He's like an angry drunk here.

An angry drunk who somehow knows how to use magic and fights like a clear-headed person.

Zoey was transported to a different location with her shadow.

There she saw River, Pat, Quincy, Henry, and their final member, Riser. There was also Xaryn who had a serious look on his face.

Zoey was stunned. "Wh-what are you doing here?" she asked.

Nobody said anything as Xaryn studied her. He touched her forehead and said, "Your minds are connected just as I feared."

Zoey knew this. She knows this because she can hear Luke's thoughts as well as see his memories.

However, one's backstory can not stop her from fulfilling her duty. She swore her loyalty to the king when she became a soldier, and she is going to keep that promise.

"You can not win this fight, you'll be killed if he senses your presence," Xaryn said out of concern.

"Then so be it," she said standing up, only to be knocked unconscious by Quincy.

"Stupid soldier girl," he said in annoyance. "She's unconscious, that should calm him down, right?"

They heard the sound of an explosion and out of subconsciousness, Riser used his shadow ability to move them from the location they were hiding to another place.

"He's looking for her?" Quincy shouted in disbelief.

"So should we run away and leave the town or what?" Quincy said.

"Never thought you were that much of a coward, Quincy," Henry said to him.

"Ouch," Quincy said sarcastically.

"There's no need for fighting him this time," Xaryn said. They saw Luke standing before them and all of a sudden the dangerous aura left him.

"Luke, are you okay?" River shouted.

"No!" Luke shouted back covering his face. He sounded like he was in pain as well.

"We can help you, but you have to promise not to try and kill the girl," Xaryn calmly said to him

"Okay," Luke said then sat down relaxing a bit. He touched his head and began rubbing his head.

"Remove your spell from him Myrin!" Xaryn commands. Marin who was watching them from the rooftop with Tim and Iya unconsciously in his arms.

He drops them off his shoulders and smiles. "Oh well," he said snapping his finger.

A little magic circle appears behind Luke's neck and then shatters.

"Myrin, a famous mage who specializes in a special kind of dark magic which is similar to necromancer but not quite," Quincy said with a little smirk.

Luke had gone unconscious when that spell was broken. "I wasn't planning on keeping him as a pet, just wanted to know how much damage he could cause," Myrin said shrugging. "He's never used magic, and yet, he's able to cause such damage," he said.

"But he manages to get out of your spell temporarily whenever he sees someone he recognizes," Xaryn said with a frown on his face.

"Yeah, yeah," Myrin said nonchalantly. "I never planned to keep him as a pet," he said. "I have a deal with Erebus, I don't think I would like to be on his bad side," he said. "He's a god after all," he said jokingly scratching the back of his neck.

He snaps his finger again and he becomes young. His hair became luscious black and long, and his skin became beautifully pale while his eyes were entirely purple.

"You didn't die today either big brother," Myrin said. "What a pity, I wished to keep your soul, it's quite beautiful and special, you know"

"You don't plan on keeping him as a pet, so what are you planning?" Xaryn asked cautiously.

"The demon king contacted me a month ago, he wants me to keep him alive and not foolishly die just because," Myrin said. "My role is to simply become his babysitter."

Xayrn was not in total disbelief. Myrin was being weird with himself touching his skin and brushing his hair with his fingers. "It is so good to be young again," he said obsessively. "You know you would look a lot better with a bit of reverse aging spell because I don't know how you could live five hundred years looking like that," he said sassily pointing to Xaryn.

"No thanks," Xaryn replies. "Unlike you, I like looking like my age."

Myrin looked at him blankly and no one said anything. It seems out of place to speak. "I can never imagine myself in your situation ever again," he said in disgust. "But if you do die can I have your soul?" he begged.

"My answer is still no," Xaryn said.

Tom wakes up and finds himself lying on a warm thick blanket. He remembers what happened and sits up immediately calling Luke's name.

"Oh the companion of the Angel of Darkness is finally awake," Quincy said. Tim turns around to see them starting a fire.

"What are you guys doing here?" Tim asked.

"Well we were in town a few days before you guys came," River said in a friendly tone. In her arms was a beautiful white rabbit.

"It was entertaining to see you guys running away from soldiers," Quincy said making fun of him. "Do you miss us?" he said.

"No," Tim replies in a blank voice. "We barely know each other and I have a horrible impression of you guys," he said honestly. "Especially you the weird orange-haired guy that just talked."

Henry laughed wholeheartedly while Quincy's mouth opened and closed.

He saw Zoey sitting at the end of the fire quietly and not speaking.

He is confused as to why she was there but doesn't question it.

He then saw Myrin who had a mirror and was looking at his face dreamingly. "Who is that?" he asked.

"A powerful dark mage who enjoys collecting the souls of people to enrich his power, he's also known for keeping powerful people who made deals with him as pets, he's been alive for hundreds of years," Quincy said. "Unfortunately, you have him traveling with you," he said mockingly

"Myrin?" Tim said.

"You're awake," Myrin said turning to him in surprise.

'No way,' Tim thought looking at him in disbelief. "How'd you go from a creepy old guy to a model?" he asked in disbelief.

"A simple potion, I'm sure you would look better without the wrinkles forming on your face," Myrin replied.

"There's wrinkly on my face?" Tim said touching his face. "When I get back home I'm returning to a nightly skincare routine," he said.

"You do skincare?" Myrin asked in excitement. "Care to share some tips?"

"Sure," Tim replies mindlessly before remembering that the man he's about to share a skincare routine with knocked him out. "Wait, wait, hold on just a minute. You knocked me out!" he said.

"Ah yes," Myrin replies nonchalantly. "I couldn't allow you get in the way of my experiment, " he said.

"What kind of experiment involves having to deal with Luke?"

"I was curious to know why my business partner asked me to babysit him, I didn't want a boring job after all."

'The Demon King sent this maniac?' Tim thought.

"Anyway care to share some of your skincare tips, I learned you're not from this world so I'm quite curious."
