"Run faster!" I screamed as Diarmuid continued to run with me on his shoulders.
*Boom* *Boom*
The sound of explosions around us kept ringing as countless weapons were thrown at us from golden portals. Medea had dematerialised at my command and Diarmuid, who was probably the fastest servant in this war, was carrying me on his shoulders as we escaped the attacks of an angry king of heroes.
"I can't go any faster master!" said Diarmuid as he dodged another sword. "Why don't you call Caster back and let us fight him?" he asked.
I thought about it for a moment. Truthfully, as soon as the golden portals appeared my first thought was to flee, I may be prideful and all but I am not an idiot, if the king of heroes truly recognised us as a threat or even worthy opponents he would just call his absolutely broken sword that can rupture even space and I don't quite want to deal with that so early on.
"He is the last boss! You don't just attack the last boss in a game, you need to first go through all the other bosses and their armies!" I screamed while looking back.
We were gaining distance on the angry Archer, however it was not enough to actually escape the range of his attacks. Taking a deep breath, my eyes began to glow red as I focused on the streets. The roads began breaking and trees were uprooted, forming a strange wall between us and Archer. This wall resisted for barely a single attack before it went down, making me realise that using my eyes now was extremely inefficient.
"It's good that you understand that you are no match for this king!" screamed Archer from behind us. "But the treasures you made belong to me!"
"I already told you that if you want them you need to make an appointment first!" I yell back with an amused smile as a drop of sweat made its way through my neck. "And you need to pay as well!"
Diarmuid look back at me. "If you don't want him to attack us why do you keep taunting him?" he asked while his eyebrow twitched.
"I can't help myself okey?" I reply. "I can't remember the last time I felt my life in so much danger and the adrenaline must be messing with my head or something!"
Swords continued to rain down on us while we kept dodging.
"Arghhh! F*ck this, lets do it!" I say loudly. "Lancer, stop. Caster, appear."
At my words Diarmuid stopped and a smiled formed on his face. Medea materialised next to us as we turned around and focused on the weapons flying in our direction.
"Block the attacks coming in our direction, Lancer." I say, making Diarmuid stand in front of us with his weapons held tightly.
"Caster, you and I will be covering Lancer from the distance, he will try to get closer and finish Archer so it is our job to keep Archer as busy as possible." I said.
It's true that this isn't my smartest decision, but for someone to call my life's work their personal property while throwing swords and spears at me... its getting on my nerves a little.
"You finally understand that your treasures belong to me?" asked Archer amused.
"Not quite." I reply with a small smile. "I was just thinking about how Tokiomi isn't here, which also means that it is our best chance of fighting you."
The blonde king shook his head. "It doesn't matter." he said while sighing. "In this era of mongrels only you have created something worthy of my treasury, so it is only natural for you to give it to the rightful owner." he continued explaining in a calm manner.
"Go now!" I explain, ordering Diarmuid to attack.
As Medea and I took a step back, Diarmuid launched himself forward in Archer's direction, pointing his lances at the king.
Countless golden portals appeared behind Archer and weapons were thrown out in Lancer's direction.
*Snap* *Snap* *Snap* *Snap*
Trails of fire left my fingers and hit the weapons that were about to hit Diarmuid, causing explosions to occur around my Servant and the area to be filed by smoke. From the dark cloud, Diarmuid appeared, moving forward in the same direction as his eyes remained looking at Archer.
Archer simply remained unmoving as more weapons were fired from his golden portals, this ones however were intercepted by purple 'bullets' made of mana that came out from the portals around Medea.
"You two mongrels..." muttered Archer. "You dare stand in the way of my reunion with my treasures!" he screamed as more golden portals appeared, making more weapons appear as well.
Diarmuid was now close to Archer, however countless swords and spears were fired at him, forcing him to dodge and gain some distance to avoid them properly. While he as doing this, Medea and I kept attacking from the distance, forcing the king of heroes to pay attention to three different directions at the same time.
Archer's expression suddenly turned into an amused one despite the situation. "Oh I see..." he muttered. "You simply are embarrassed to give them to me huh?"
A deadpanned expression appeared on our faces as the three of us were trying to understand how that made any sense whatsoever. "What?" I asked, still confused. How anyone would think that us attacking meant that we were embarrassed to obey him was honestly beyond me.
*Gunshot sound*
In that moment of confusion, the sound of a firearm being shot was heard throughout the streets and I felt pain. Looking down, I saw the hand were my ring was gone and blood came out of it.
*Gunshot sound* *Gunshot sound* *Gunshot sound*
Holes began appearing in my body as bullets continued to go through me.
Staring at the pool of blood forming below me, I turned my attention to Diarmuid and Medea. "Forget Archer! We are getting out of here right now!" I say loudly while coughing blood. I am prideful and all, and I do believe that we might be able to defeat the king of heroes if he underestimates us, but add a magus killer and the king of knights as well as another homunculi and it's a bit too much.
Suddenly, I hear a different sound coming in my direction. Looking at the incoming object, I couldn't help but curse Kiritsugu. "Bastard... are you really launching a missile at me..."
*Boom*
