He curiously touched the manifested barrier, finding it hard like a smooth brick wall.

He moved his right holding the amulet upward, the solid semi-see-through golden barrier moving up with it, maintaining the 5 cm space between it and the amulet.

"You don't need to move the amulet itself, use your mana as a guide to where you want it to be and test its range." holding her head on her palm, she watched him play around with the average-sized energy shield.

He wanted to ask her how to do that, but he decided against it. Focusing on the connection he had with the amulet, he felt the button he pushed before and pushed it again, the circular wall-like barrier disappearing in a buff smoke, but there was no smoke following it.

"Idiot, why did you disperse it, you have lost the energy used to generate that shield now." Sighing to his left she looked disappointingly at him.

"I thought I would have to turn it off to -" Kaine shut up mid-sentence when she looked at him sharply.

"Don't make excuses, I said use your mana to guide the barrier to where you want it to be. I didn't say disable it." Straightening her back, she intensely stared at him.

Kaine didn't refute her and focused back on the amulet. pulling the robe up, he tied it around his right wrist, making the main body dangle when he raised his hand in the air.

Activating the first barrier form, a meter-wide circular thin shield manifested 5cm away from the amulet, right next to his straightened palm.

As the amulet dangled from the movement of his wrist, the golden barrier moved along with it, making him fascinated that it was Energy he was seeing, not glass.

'Guide it with mana, should be simple enough,' thinking sarcastically, he focused on his flowing mana, guiding it to the amulet.

When his mana touched the amulet he felt like he could command it to do what he wanted, so he focused on the moving barrier, stopping it mid-track as it was swaying.

"Good, now test the limit of the barrier." She watched intently.

'Test it? how?' he fell into deep thought for a while, and focused on the amulet interacting with his mana, but not absorbing it.

He moved his raised right hand to the left slowly, the barrier still stood where he froze it, and focusing on the amulet he guided it to follow his hand, the energy barrier quickly snapping right in front of his palm.

He ordered the shield to freeze in that position again, moving his hand away to the right, and with a thought, the barrier snapped to his new location.

'I can really order it around with just my mind!' He kept repeating different directions, then an up-and-down, a smile creeping on his face at the marvelous energy shield.

"Quit playing around, now guide it without you moving your hand." with an annoyed look, she scolded him as he kept playing with it for a couple of minutes non-stop.

Kaine nodded sincerely at her words, focusing back on the testing of the energy barrier. freezing it mid-air, he lowered his hand, but instead of unfreezing it, his mana interacted with the amulet deeper, and with a thought, the barrier began to move around and float midair.

He with his mind alone, moved around the barrier in a circle around him, above him, and at every angle. He then moved it as far away from him as possible, the energy shield becoming unstable when it moved 15 meters away, which he reeled back instantly in front of his palm before it disappeared.

"Good range for an average shield, make sure you don't deplete its mana by playing around with it." She said from the side, yet Kaine had already gotten used to how she talked.

'Now the final test,' guiding the shield toward the seat he sat on, he pushed it with the energy shield, a wide smile on his face as the chair began to move and skid along the floor.

"Sigh~ idiot, that just depletes it more, interacting with physical objects makes the amulet release more energy to compensate for the lack of force and density needed to move the physical object." he stopped the shield, looking carefully at it, he saw it was more golden and less see through.

"I just wanted to see if it can truly interact with objects." Kaine focused on the amulet and instead of making the shield disperse, he guided the shield back into the amulet just to see what would happen.

When the shield touched the amulet, the energy began to seep back into the crystal quickly, yet he could see some of it dispersing like smoke into the air.

"Mana is inherently a part of the world, so its inherent nature makes it want to go back to the world." Kaine dragged the chair back into its place, and sat on it, absorbing the lessons of lady-

"Right, we haven't actually introduced ourselves, my name is Kaine, what's yours?" Kaine just remembered he didn't even know her name.

"You don't need to know, I'm a passerby, and I won't be here long." The lady picked her book up and stood up slowly.

"What? how long till you leave?" he blurted as he stood up after her, walking after her to the door.

"I will leave tomorrow, so stop bothering me already." She didn't turn around and kept walking forward.

"Um... I would really like to know your name and thank you properly, I don't know how long it would have taken to figure this stuff out without your help!" He stood to her side as she held the door handles.

She looked at him deeply, her height was smaller than he expected, reaching his chest, and he was shorter than even his average height was supposed to be at his age.

"...Nassmyl, it was pleasant meeting you boy, make sure you live a good life." She looked away and opened the door, and to his surprise, as she exited the door, her body began to release bright blue before going up in smoke.

"... Don't practice with the bracer indoors." Her last words floated to his ears, watching the blue smoke disperse into the air.

'Teleportation? or some other form of it?' He looked around for a couple of seconds, finding the hallway empty.

'Sigh~I really have a long way to go." He looked back at the library, sighing and leaving it, closing the door after himself.

As he walked through the hallway, his legs shook a little, and a bang of hunger hit him hard in the stomach all of a sudden.

'This hunger will be the death of me before I get killed by monsters.' Holding his stomach, he hurriedly took out his map, looking for a dining place, if there was one at least.

'Yep, they have it, this place is self-sufficient as hell.' He followed the map, going through identical hallways one after the other, making his sense of direction confused about how identical they were.

'How big is this building anyway!' He entered the last hallway he suspected would lead to the dining hall, and sure enough people were intersecting into his hallway from others and going in the same direction.

The women he could see all wore casual dresses as they talked to each other with little smiles on their faces, while the men were stoic and were quickly focused on reaching the end of the hallway and into the dining hall.

'Wow, they're beautiful...' Kaine looked at two prime milf women wearing identical purple silk robes that stuck to their shape, their asses jiggling at every step they took as they walked in front of him.

"hmm?" One of the women turned toward him, catching him looking at her ass.

'Oh shit!' He instantly looked back at the map, pretending he was busy. After a few seconds passed, he looked back up, startled when the blonde-haired milf was still looking at him, her green eyes told him he was caught red-handed.

She along with the other less thick dark-haired milf stopped walking and waited for him to pass on, while he busied himself with the map acting like he wasn't ogling them just now.

"Hey little guy, you are a new recruit?" He looked back startled when the stacked prime milf put her right arm on his shoulder.

"Y-yes, I registered this morning!" His heart began to beat a little, feeling a little shy, he looked away from her chest where her robes accentuated her deep cleavage that was on his eye level.

"Oh look how cute he is! Should we keep him with us for tonight!?" he looked at her in shock when he heard her, a smile on her face as she looked at the other woman that looked at him curiously, her blue eyes reminding him of someone he just met.

"Hmm... I don't know, isn't he too young for us?" The black-haired milf touched his hair, rubbing his forehead strangely.

"Hm... that's true, well we can just make him accompany us, you don't see such innocent normal skinny kids in here these days." Dragging him in front of us, she held onto his shoulders as she ferried him along with them.

Kaine was speechless and tried with little force to escape from her grasp, but she held on to him.

"Hey, you're making him uncomfortable, don't scare him with your forcefulness." looking back at the black-haired milf, Kaine was speechless while she still rubbed his hair awkwardly, her rubbing was more uncomfortable than the boobs resting on his neck.

"Don't worry about him, you don't mind eating dinner with us right?" She lowered her head, whispering next to his ear in a low voice.

'It's dinner? I thought it was afternoon or something. Why is this place without windows anyway?' He thought about his room and all the hallways he passed by, there was not a single window to be found on them.

"See, he doesn't mind, come before those hungry muscle-filled animals eat everything!" They doubled their walking speed, the walk was uncomfortable from both the women clutching onto him as if he would escape.

As he entered the dining hall, he was stunned when he saw the strange scene he was looking at.
