Hello everyone. Here's a collection of my unfinished drafts, chapters I for some reason, fail to come up with a good follow-up. Why publish them? Because I figured that the time I took to write them would at least serve a purpose other than to help me with my written English. Why read a bunch of chapters without follow-up? Well, that's a good question. I can understand that reading something without a story behind it is frustrating but I do it first and foremost to try to figure out why exactly I cannot be satisfied with my work. Who knows? Perhaps if you guys give me enough advice and particularly like one of the ideas I exposed, I could try writing it for real. Anyway, I'm exposed to criticism and would like to hear your guys' opinions on those chapters. By the way, if one of y'all wants to write his own story inspired by one of the chapters they are free to do so. However, the last thing I want to see is copy/paste of those chapters. After all, it is still stealing intellectual property. If you guys see my chapters on another website, it isn't me, and would like to hear about it. I have hundreds of drafts to publish, but won't do it all in the same day. Put the book in your collection to stay tuned in.
"Funny." Baast began, adjusting her legs' position. "Your proposition almost makes us seems equal." She said, her tone not leaving any room for further negotiation toward this path.
Fortunately for Ken Yaoyorozu, it was something he expected. The middle-aged man was smart enough to not lie to himself regarding the difference between their two families.
The Adio Family did not need any help from the Yaoyorozu since with time they could build a branch strong enough to contend with the other families and corporations in the commodity market.
As he observed the gaze of the beautiful woman sharpen on him, he knew that he would not have the occasion to employ the same tricks he does usually when he negotiate. The sweat trickling down his back was proof enough.
"N-no. I thought of a more profitable deal for your family." Ken continued, taking a deep breath of air.
Supported by the delicate hand of his wife on his back, Ken was encouraged to continue under the judgemental gazes of the Adio pair.
Everything would be decided by his next words and how the Adio matriarch takes them.
"Our children will marry and the one that successfully inherits the [Destruction] quirk stays the heir as you usually do. However, there is a high chance that our probable grandchildren will also inherit a part of our daughter's quirk, [Creation] which would be a huge advantage for the branch that would essentially inherit our corporation." He explains, sliding on the table the paper where Momo's quirk is throughout fully explained.
Alfred step forward to take it and inspected the words for a few seconds before giving it to his mistress.
Lazily glancing at it, Baast's feline eyes went toward the young girl that felt shy under her possible future mother-in-law's gaze.
"I admit that it is a good quirk. One that is opposite of the nature of my family's quirk." She said, leaning forward after giving the paper to her son.
"Problem is, your family does not have much value beyond the meager branch possibility you already stated earlier. Why would we take the chance to dilute our blood with yours?" She asked, her predatory gaze switching between each member.
It was obvious to Baast that Ken's sole reason for the almost desperate proposition was due to his inability to take his company beyond the limits of Japan. His recent try resulted in a major failure which diminished the overall value of the Yaoyorozu corporation.
Finally using his last card, Ken was no more solely focused on the woman as his gaze went toward the future of the Adio family, the next heir and probably his future son-in-law.
"We are aware of Maat Adio-sama's difficulty with finding an opponent strong enough to... entertain him. That's why thanks to our relations we managed to make a summary of the most talented and powerful people in Japan." He proposed, taking from his briefcase another portfolio.
At the sight of the pile of papers, Maat's eyes visibly shone, a smile making its way onto his face.
Seeing his reaction, Baast couldn't help but sight, seeing that her son was visibly excited. It was quite tricky for her since she has great trouble refusing anything from him.
Taking the portfolio herself this time, she unhurriedly looked through the profiles indicated inside.
They were all powerful people, a few being heroes or villains, most being vigilantes or mercenaries. It would be simple to pay them to have some spars with her son.
Besides, they would be obligated to defend themselves if he suddenly attacks like he likes to do.
"Maat. Go play with Momo in your room. We will discuss some matters here before any decision is made."
