Collection of My Drafts

Hello everyone. Here's a collection of my unfinished drafts, chapters I for some reason, fail to come up with a good follow-up. Why publish them? Because I figured that the time I took to write them would at least serve a purpose other than to help me with my written English. Why read a bunch of chapters without follow-up? Well, that's a good question. I can understand that reading something without a story behind it is frustrating but I do it first and foremost to try to figure out why exactly I cannot be satisfied with my work. Who knows? Perhaps if you guys give me enough advice and particularly like one of the ideas I exposed, I could try writing it for real. Anyway, I'm exposed to criticism and would like to hear your guys' opinions on those chapters. By the way, if one of y'all wants to write his own story inspired by one of the chapters they are free to do so. However, the last thing I want to see is copy/paste of those chapters. After all, it is still stealing intellectual property. If you guys see my chapters on another website, it isn't me, and would like to hear about it. I have hundreds of drafts to publish, but won't do it all in the same day. Put the book in your collection to stay tuned in.

Chapter 1 - Marvel (3)

My gaze locked on the horizon, my gloved hands resting on the ledge as I let my thoughts wander elsewhere, quite unusual for someone as single-minded as me.

The mutants, the fantastic 4, the avengers... And even more painfully annoying groups of hypocrites.

The mutants talked about fighting for equality between themselves and humanity while abusing their powers to brainwash everyone around and claiming that it is for the good.

The fantastic 4... I am not extremely knowledgeable about them but there is something that displeases me greatly about them. Call it my sixth sense.

The Avengers are a bunch of dogs at the heels of the governments. A bunch of superpowered mercenaries that rarely care about the damage they cause when they fight their usual strangely created threats.

The others are even weirder. From a bunch of superpowered freaks going on some kind of war against another even stranger group of magicians and whatnot.

It has been a few days since I happened to arrive in the Marvel Universe.

I worked my ass off every day, from the moment my soul came into this body to now.

I would have been seriously anxious about living anywhere near Manhattan if I did not have this... perk.

A power that should not have been granted to anyone in this universe for, it is too powerful to be wielded.

The SpeedForce. Speed itself bending to my call.

So much power, I almost got drunk with it.

Thankfully, I calmed down. There were entities beyond my scope of understanding lurking in the universe that I am not aware of.

Besides, this universe is quite strange.

Some kind of mix between a lot of different universes, be it from the comics or the MCU.

There were, however, certain things that remained constant.

Like Stark being kidnapped then building his armor, announcing to be the famous Iron Man.

To be honest, I did not care about being a hero that much. Well, I do want to save people and whatever.

However, I find myself unwilling to follow the moral code of most heroes, the infamous "no killing".

If a man kills another man, the number of murderers does not diminish... BUT if a man kills a thousand murderers, the number does decrease. It makes sense, in my opinion, it is the right thing to do.

That and I am slightly psychologically fucked up.

Never could afford any mental help in my old life. In this one, I could but... where is the fun in that?

After all, Deadpool is even crazier but he is just as lovable.

God, I hope this is not the 'Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe' version.

Anyway.

I lightly pushed myself off the ledge, time around me slowing to a point where birds' wings stopped altogether.

My feet touched the Empire State's windows as the SpeedForce helped me ignore a fundamental law of the universe, allowing me to run down, the infinite energy of the golden bolts occasionally escaping from my body harmlessly touching the unbroken glass.

Most people could barely notice the gold and white colors running past them, my speed beyond their capabilities.

They call me Blur.

Why?

You are not very intelligent, are you?

A simple shiny blur going past them before they could notice, resolving any problems I encounter.

I am not Spiderman.

I won't stop to have a chat with my foes. I won't stop to talk to criminals and let them have the slightest chance to think, to even react to my presence. I come, I do, I leave.

My fame was high.

Ridiculously higher than most even though I have been doing this for only a few days.

Even J.J.J failed to find anything negative about me.

Circling the city, I often find some situations that require my help.

This time, the event I encounter is not that unusual for Midtown Manhattan at 9 A.M.

Four armed men were running from the bank whose windows were broken, glass still lingering in the street as the nearby citizens were unconcerned about the eventuality of a shoutout starting as they recorded it.

Bags full of money were being thrown into the back of their van, frozen midair as my speed was unfathomable for them.

They were either lucky or well organized. The police were... nowhere to be seen.

Well. They were not that lucky since I happen to be running in their direction, at full speed.

Poor slow people. They don't even know that I am going to shit in their perfectly well-done robbery.

Approaching the first man, I calmly dislocate both of his knees.

While I eventually will kill, I understand that not every criminal automatically deserves death.

For most, they can repent and change. For some... death IS too merciful. My speed powers give me so many options to make their lives hell that it won't even be funny.

At my speed, the pain in his legs did not reach his brain yet.

I grabbed his assault rifle and squeezed it.

Following my movement like clay, I made it completely unusable.

For good measure, I completely stripped him from anything clothes he had except for his underwear.

I am a professional, I have standards, you pervert.

Going through the same process with his three other mates, I finally stepped into the bank.

It was, as expected from a robbed bank full of robb- bankers. They were still shocked by what happened but none seemed harmed.

I went through EVERY room of the bank looking for anything suspicious that they could have hidden.

Why? I don't know... maybe explode the bank as a diversion?

You have to think a little better than that buddy, otherwise, you can't be my sidekick.

Making sure they were as harmless as one can be, I went toward their van.

Their driver had the same clown mask as his four other colleagues and wore matching black clothes.

Cute, they were prepared for their big plan.

I almost feel bad.

Almost.

Taking him out of the vehicle was as easy as stealing a baby's candy.

What? I was hungry.

I put him next to his friends and repeated my actions.

Still moving too fast for any of them to show the pain on their faces, I left the scene, the white and golden bolts claiming the scene as my work.

Running up a building and embracing my normal human speed, I looked at the spectacle below.

For anyone, it would seem that in a blink, a golden and white blur went by, crippling and stripping every robber on the scene.

The shouts and curses of the crawling men sent a shiver down the spine of everyone looking at the scene.

If he could do that to the without even being seen, what stop him from doing even worse things to anyone?

Answer?

Nothing.

Except that the last bit of sanity lurking in my mind still reminds me that I am not one of these scums living unsuspected on the planet.

I was a kind bastard, a lovable one.

Not one you want to kill... Right Adolf?

Anyway, the noise of the robbers was quickly muffled by the approaching police sirens.

My work here is over.

{Random Cop's POV}

"Another one?" The captain sighed as his eyes were focused on something on his left, I could not see it from the driving position as his overweight ass blocked my vision.

Stopping the car, I exited it like him and made my way over what lay behind the van.

Several other patrols rejoined us as we were made aware of a bank robbery.

The occurrence of such things was reduced by quite a lot since Blur made his appearance.

He was the most mysterious hero around Manhattan. He comes, does whatever he has to do, and leaves all before anyone can even glance at his appearance.

Rumors say that he is too fast for the criminals to react to him. Which I believe is true.

Otherwise very few powers can explain what he did to these guys wiggling on the ground like worms as their legs were bent at unnatural positions, shouts, and curses at my colleagues that put them in handcuffs.

"The clown gang, they are more and more annoying these days." The captain remarked, looking at a clown mask on the ground, next to the neatly folded clothes of these robbers.

The scariest thing is that he stripped them and crippled them before anyone could see anything.

If he was fast it is at a far higher speed than anyone ever thought.

"Maybe we could ask Blur to help us find them?" I asked aloud, earning a laugh from one of my colleagues.

"Yeah, go ahead and try to catch him. I swear that this guy is closer to a robot than a human."

"It is true that there is something scary about someone like him. Unlike someone like Spiderman, he does not try to be popular or even dialogue with the criminals. He handicaps them and leaves after being sure that they are not a threat anymore." The captain added, looking at the five men being put in the ambulance.

"It is good that he is a good guy though. I don't even want to imagine what he could do if he one day decided to go on a slaughter." I commented.

The fact that he was virtually unstoppable was the scariest part.

I doubt that even the Avengers could do anything against him.

"That it is." The fat man agreed with my words, our eyes observing the lightly burned ground representing a bolt.

'Who and what are you... Blur?'
