Chapter 138

After Commander Yu's arrival, the conversation continued for a little while longer, but without anything too important being discussed.

Once the King dismissed them, the officials took turns in bowing to the monarch before quitting the audience hall. The last ones to remain were Commander Yu and Kim Chil.

Yu Eung-Bu had just bent his body to bow to the King, when he heard his friend addressing the King.

"Your Majesty, could I make a suggestion regarding the protection of the envoy's perona?"

Both the King and Yu Eung-Bu were quite surprised by these sudden words.

"I already thought of having Commander Yu personally guard the Ming envoy." King Sejo replied in a calm manner. His eyes, however, had imperceptibly narrowed in suspicion.
