Okay so it's a little harder than I thought… Oi Mimir, how do I get a sunstone?
[There are 2 ways, either get your land blessed by the sun deity and harvest them from the area, or directly ask for a blessing upon an item (in this case a stone) from the sun deity.]
While thinking about if I should grab a pebble and ask this sun deity for a favor I was constantly waiting for an opportunity to use my grubby little fingers to grab the ring on my fathers hand… I probably wouldn't get another chance to grab a good gem after all.
And predictably my ability to be subtle as a baby was terrible… He'd noticed pretty quickly, I hope he just thinks I like shiny things and not that I wanna eat it…

I picked up Sam to start feeding her some formula, Lisa had run off for unknown reasons and I was finding it hard to cope. All she left was a short note with the words 'I'm sorry'... right, like saying sorry was enough to abandon your 2 daughters.
Sam still seemed cheerful at least… constantly making happy little giggles while grabbing my hands… or… ring? I looked down at her, did she think it was a shiny toy?
I have to say, she was rather expressive for a baby, noticing me looking at her she almost seemed embarrassed to be caught. A moment later however she looked determinedly up at me while having her hands over the ring. Hmm… what the hell, it's not like i'll be using it anymore but I'll have to make sure she can't accidentally swallow it…

I saw him taking the ring off! I can't really see any good parent willingly giving a day-old baby such a small item, choking hazards and all that… but right now I kind of hoped he was a bit reckless.
He set me down on the bed with one hand before grabbing a nearby pacifier and modifying it… His fingers really were bending the wrong ways! Mimir are you seeing this?

For now though I immediately took the pacifier and popped it into my mouth… Lacking teeth and having this to 'chew' on is actually rather enjoyable! A few more hours of playing, cheering father up and… getting my diaper changed (note to self - create something to wipe memories later) I was again left in my crib to sleep.

The gold of the ring inside the pacifier shone extremely brightly for a few seconds before fading- though not completely as it could still be seen softly glowing. "Brilliant!". Now all I need is to drop some blood on it right Mimir?

1 Week later
Freedom! After a long period of waiting I was finally being allowed out of the hospital- My father had me strapped in the back of a car and we were zooming around hopefully on our way home, something I was rather excited about considering the surroundings I could see flashing by- everything looked so futuristic! The air also smelled cleaner than my own world and every second person wore a lab coat! Mimir are you sure I wasn't reborn into heaven?

Bugger! Well this place is close enough anyhow! Oh and it looks like we're pulling in- Nice place we got here, 2 stories and moderately sized… enough room for me to escape the watchful eyes of my Dad for a bit hopefully.
As he grabbed me out of the back and brought me inside, my fathers leg was tackled by a little blonde girl… Did I have a sibling?
"Hahaha Melissa! Sorry that I couldn't stay with you for a bit, but look at who's with me!"
He lowered me down to eye level with Melissa, we stared at each other for a second before she squealed and gave me a hug.
"Her name is Sam and she's your new little sister so take care of her alright?" Father told her.
"New sister?" she said while patting my head.
"Yep, but for now I'll put her to sleep since she seems a bit tired" My acting appears to have worked as father takes me to another room (his I'd assume) with a cradle against one wall, he plops me in, gives me kiss on the forehead and heads back out to presumably tell Melissa and the caretaker about our mothers great escape. Poor kid.
Back to business though, This crib wasn't nearly as me proof as the last one, it was made the old fashioned way with a wooden frame holding a small mattress, the moment father left I hopped up (thankfully there were no baby monitors) and started running my hands along the sides looking for any sharp corners or splinters.
A bit of searching later and I had a small sliver of wood in my hand, I'd poked my finger which bled slightly while grabbing it. I hid the sliver under the mattress and put my bloody finger in my mouth. I sucked a small amount of blood out before placing my pacifier back in my mouth making sure to cover it in the small amount of blood I'd gathered. Nothing happened.

The moment it started I'd taken out my pacifier, I watched it start shifting before settling on an orangish red color with a surface that looked like a gem but still had the malleability of plastic.
I happily watched it finish transforming before popping it in my mouth… It tastes like strawberry!... Also I could feel a pleasing warmth spreading throughout my body as if I was in a spa! Now I just have to wait to see the results!
